Not really sure what "problem" you're trying to solve here... You want Science officers to only captain Science Vessels? Engineers to only captain Cruisers? Tactical officers to only captain Escorts? You want no one to be capable of soloing content? For every class to be dependent on each other? For each team to require at…
Even if it were purely cosmetic, I'd "feel" more like a Romulan if I could travel sector space cloaked. Heck, I'd probably even be willing to suffer a speed penalty.
Right, all you need are a couple of c-store ships for the modest sum of $30 (mind you, one of which has a Vice Admiral req.) and a few RCS consoles and you are fine... piloting a lvl 30 ship. :P While I certainly agree the "fugly" comment was silly, the OP kinda does have a point: it is rather an abrupt change of pace to…
'Normal' or the baseline for how all content should be balanced? Where does this leave cruiser and science vessel captains... particularly if they favor beams over cannons? I hate to jump on the "Escort Online" bandwagon, but you know, if the shoe fits...
I'm confused. Is the general consensus here that Viral Matrix hasn't significantly changed since its introduction, that it has been made even more powerful, or that's it's less powerful, but PvP had nothing to do with it? Also, correct me if I'm mistaken, but wasn't Jam Sensors changed to a 'fragile' placate due to outcry…
My Ha'nom has 12k shields... per facing. Could probably approach (possibly even exceed) 14k with covariant/paratrinic & field gens, but 12k is plenty good enough for me. :)
In my limited experience, seems godly in the hands of high dps, high rate-of-fire, AoE builds and comparatively underwhelming in (relatively) low rate-of-fire, single-target, average dps builds. If rebalancing is called for, I sincerely hope special care is given to not shortchange the latter. In other words, please don't…
With all due respect, Geko, it is NOT lasting the reported 300 seconds; it only lasts 180 seconds. I just tested it extensively with the stopwatch app on my Nexus 7. I was in a Ha'nom Guardian Warbird, running with the "Law" reward duty officer (who lowers the cooldown on torpedos). I'll check it again shortly with my Gorn…
It's only a "problem" if you don't want to see a T5 D'deridex with anything but the current consoles/stations/abilities offered. While I'm certainly not opposed to adding a science ship taken from a brief appearance in TNG/VOY, if given the choice, I'd rather fly a DD better suited to my playstyle. A retrofit D'ridthau…
The best I could say is it's a "bug" they didn't update the console's description. One could also argue that since it's a cash-shop item, it's bordering on false advertising. Either way, bugs are bugs. Stealth nerfs are a whole different species.
It's not a bug if it's intentional, and it's kinda hard to imagine dropping the duration by more than half AND noticeably reducing its health was purely accidental. I'm not really sure what "running alot wrong" means, but I'd definitely say those changes are pretty significant.
Ahh okay... now that makes more sense. Was flying around with my Aceton (as I usually do) and thought I must be crazy for not noticing any significant damage output increase. But I *did* notice it had a reduced duration and took fewer hits before it popped. I can live with the new duration, but making it that squishie? Not…
What's odd is both the Dhelan and Mogai (pre-VA variants) *do* favor science. And I agree, it seems only fitting Romulans *should* favor science. Personally, I'd like to see a T5 science-heavy (and engineering-heavy) version of the D'deridex - maybe a D'ridthau Retrofit? Perhaps a tri-ship offering like the Andorian Kumari…
