I seem to get a wide variety of ships on my Rex. On my Klingon character I often get a K'tinga Battlecruiser and a B'rel BOP. Seems like every time I look they are different on all characters. Very strange.
My problem with the launcher autoupdate looping around seems to have been corrected, although it sure wasn't anything I did. I can only assume it was indeed a server glitch of some sort. Just finished playing STO for first time in 5 days after the launcher finally was able to complete it's download.
This is pretty much the exact situation I am having, although the MB values are slightly different. I haven't been able to log into STO for 2 days now because of this. Anyone know if there is any chance of a fix anytime soon?
I sure am glad you mentioned that, I've had that plotting problem for years and never knew there was a simple fix. I tried it too, and it works fine. THANKS!
Coldnapalm I wish you luck getting a fix for that pesky problem, I wish I could help but I have no idea what's causing it. In my particular case it seems to have something to do with the Arc Overlay, although why it should only mess up the first launch after a reboot stumps me, but that's how it was behaving here. I get…
Note: Inserting -ArcOverlayEnable 0 into the launcher command line seems to have fixed the black screen at launch problem for me, at least for the moment. I never used the overlay anyway so that doesn't bother me at all. Now if we can just get rid of that silly welcome splash screen....
I've just purchased a Windows 10 PC (I5-4570 Quad Core CPU, 8GB Ram, Intel Extreme Graphics Controller, Windows 10 Home Edition) and Star Trek Online runs perfectly fine on it - I have had no problems at all and it's far better than on my old Windows XP machine. Hope this helps.
I had similar problems with loading screens hanging up on me until just recently when I seem to have found a fix for it - at least it works here. In the game, go into Options -> Advanced and turn the Reduced File Streaming option ON. Be sure to apply your changes. Hope this helps you.
I've been having this same problem for months now - random loading screens hanging at 40-41%. A few days ago, quite by accident, I seem to have discovered a cure for it, at least for myself. I was experiencing this hangup anywhere from 2-10 times per day, but since implimenting this change I haven't had a single hangup or…
Whatever was causing the login problems seems to have been fixed, at least as far as I can tell. As of 5:00pm Eastern on 9/27 I haven't had a single problem logging into STO. The launcher has worked fine, the game has been completely stable.
Well, whatever was wrong with the account server connection seems to have been corrected, at least as far as I can tell. As of 5:00pm Eastern on 9/27, I have experienced no problems at all with the launcher or STO. I've been in and out 4 times with no problems.

Darthwoo I've got the same problems you have. Tech support has been absolutely useless, they keep telling me my computer isn't powerful enough to run STO which is rediculous - it runs fine if I can ever get into the game. I managed to get in once today for about 15 minutes, but as soon as I tried to switch characters I got…
Since 9/22/2015 I've been unable to log into STO, the patcher doesn't seem to be able to log me in. Several attempts at using Tracert gave me an error, but finally today I was able to get the following information: 1 1ms <1ms <1ms 192.168.1.1 2 13ms 12ms 12ms 209.179.64.4 3 13ms 13ms 12ms…
Cannot get patch server to run reliably here, most of the time it just sits there attempting to log me in with no result. Tracert gave me an error - could not resolve address. IP is 209.179.120.80. Managed to get online one time today but after about 5 minutes the server stopped responding and I got kicked out - never did…
I have the same kinds of graphics problems you and others are reporting - after somewhere around 45 minutes to an hour of game play many of the backgrounds turn solid white, many of the game icons (i.e. the tray icons, inventory icons, etc) vanish, large white blocks float above NPC's heads, etc. This seems to have started…
