I'm guessing here, but I assume because internal metrics show that's a good idea. The question is in that context; metrics say a lot about the what and when, but not a *** of a lot about the why. Are people doing it because they enjoy it or because they are "funneled" to it. I actually have no idea in a broader sense how…
That's the thing though, right now it's either faceroll; or super cheese. As Someone above stated pressure damage and interesting mechanics are a much better and more enjoyable scale for difficulty.
lol next Lockbox, no ships no lobi just chance at a doff box or a borg wth torp defence console. They'd make a killing as often as this thing re-appears :D (if it is actually happening again, don't have the log)
There's been a couple of times in the last couple days I've had people go poof on me b4 I can even get the heal off. one a scim, the other a fleet haprh..feh...beh whatever you call it. both full hull, thinned shields though. I had assumed server lag, thought the inviso torp was fixed?
I don't think he meant "fix it" maint I think he was asking about the initial takedown to apply the patch. I think we all know by know there will be "fix it" maint afterwards to some degree or other.
I never was able to get a queen <---queue to pop, even asking in chat. bad timing I guess. I did get up to 3 people queened( I really hate this word :D ) once, was so excited.
As a side note, from what I've seen, what you get in each individual subzone is dependent on how many players are in that control point. Go grab 5 other people and try it. it gets rather busy :D
omg please tell me this is a troll post please please please. If, it in fact is true, that's definitely one mission ; story arc ; or zone I'll never participate in ever
Question (sorry if it's been asked already) but if you select force verify will it do the pre-patch in one lump sum instead of a lil here and a lil there?
Not surprising, I'm not sure how marketable/profitable it would be vis a vis dev/rescources/time outlays. When compared to the return on investment on pumping out rubberstamp lockbox stuff, I see no incentive for them to "do wonders" with alien customization.
Another possible solution I've seen floating about is make the mk X MK XI account bound while the MK XII char bound. That would actually make them worth getting (at least for alters). But to the OP; as has been stated unless you are extremely slow in grinding out the rep recourses required I'd recommend only getting the…
Easy fix; Just fraps every fight. That gives you a record to help GM's track down false positives, as well as CYA if you actually care what the community thinks about you:D
Agreed I can't get my engy to fly anything else, he does occasionally hop in a tuffi for a bit for more doffing but other than that he's been in the Kora for ever. Nothing else I try works as well for me. It's just so Darn convenient, while still doing everything I need it to do. EDIT: That was a misquote I got a happy…
For me with multi chars the rep systems has pretty much made me a nonprofit as far as what I pay to Cryptic anymore. Once upon a time I was ALWAYS running one alt or another I didn't even have a "main". Each one purchased stuff. Now days when a new season drops I log in with the two who are relatively current, and in…
So I saw the blog the other day talking about even another rep system being added. From what's stated in the blog other than the shared rep(kudos on this one) items powers ect are similar in nature to previous systems. I did not notice any mention of maps/missions designed around the increasing power bloat. So my question…
Hmmm I wonder, if adding a + to weap pwr mod makes all other cores obsolete I'm curious about what that says about underlying balance in general in this game? Just sayen
yea, point was raised on tribble... a lot. But if you squint and turn your head in a specific angle there is a silver lining. The items in the rep chain are meh enough, that it isn't gimping yourself for another stupid rep grind if you just don't do it:D
Part of the problem is most of it seems to be grind for grinds sake. Think about it, endgame maps haven't fundamentally changed in yrs now, while every other business quarter or so we get to do some rep/fleet grind that lets us do the same maps .02% faster. Grind in addition to content is one thing, grind in leu of content…
I think one of the side discussions going on in this thread actually has some merit though. The game does very little to assist a newer player in mastering certain facets during normal play. Unless that player is willing/able to learn from sources outside the core game (websites, video's, fleet mates, friends, ect) they…
Or just get burned out from the game faster and move on to greener pastures. Always a hazard with games that introduce char based rep grinds. Objectively one would think incentivizing alt play would translate to more micro transactions for those alts. Perhaps PWE/Cryptics metrics show a higher revenue stream from alts…
yup knowledge is pwr I've seen brand new toons(but with an old @handle) in full/partial aegis set & lvl 40 freebie ships completely own EStfs, and I've seen fully tricked out LB ships fair so poorly it makes you cry. It's one of the reasons I think there were threads floating around about roms being OP, for awhile you had…
