  • I was able to log in and use it just now. Did you perhaps try during the maintenance period this morning?
  • http://gatewaytest.startrekonline.com is the right place for Tribble. Not sure what the issue you're running into, but give it a try after the next update to Tribble goes live.
  • I jumped the gun on this. The plan is for these changes to go to Tribble today and the live shard next Thursday.
  • I messed up. Coming next week (see above).
  • [UDPATE - I jumped the gun on this. The plan is for these changes to go to Tribble today and the live shard next Thursday.] [Next week's] Star Trek update includes many updates to Gateway. A major change is that we found a bug that kept many Internet Explorer users from being able to connect to Gateway. You would be able…

  • Account Guard codes are sent moments after the request is made. Maybe you need to refresh your email client to force it to check for new mail? Has anyone else seen long delays in getting Account Guard codes?
  • If you view a character that is not yours, you see a restricted set of data on that character. Likewise, if you are not in the fleet, you see a restricted view of the fleet. If you are a member of the fleet, but aren't viewing your character, you can see the extra info on the fleet, but are not allowed to see the fleet…
  • If you aren't getting the prompt for the code, then there's something else wrong. There is probably an incompatibility with the browser you're using. I'm sorry to report that we haven't tested on Windows phone. We've had to make some fixes for IE8 recently and expect to be good for IE8 through IE10 on Thursday's push. This…
  • iPhone Problems with Account Guarded accounts We have confirmed what the problem is for many iPhone users who get stuck in an Account Guard. When you try to log in to Gateway, you are requested for a code that is sent via email. When you switch from the Gateway page to read the email on the iPhone, the iPhone basically…
  • Issue updates:* Fleet pages updating and losing filters and so on: We are working on a fix. * Fleet roster is not sorted: How would you like it sorted? Name? Last time on? * Comments column gets pushed off: We'll look into this. * Hull and crew being wrong: We're looking into this. * Hiding guild members: Non-guild members…

  • We're looking into this problem. It's not browser specific as far as we can tell, it has something to do with how long it takes to get your character list back from the server. I would have expected a refresh to work (just click through the known-bug-it-shouldn't-be-there-one-time code dialog box), but we are investigating…
  • The incorrect "one time code" message is a known bug. At the moment, Gateway doesn't support being open in the same browser multiple times very well. We're working on it.
  • Thanks for the report! This is bug caused by live updating. Probably someone in the Fleet is doing something which modifies the fleet. This causes an update to get sent to you and the screen refreshes. We will be fixing this so that the screen doesn't lose which page you're on.
  • Awesome! Huge thanks for being so helpful. I also only got the spinning circles, so I will check into that. By the "ones you've most recently been on", do you mean that you've played them in-game recently? (Like this week?) We have a suspicion that older characters (that haven't been played in the client for a while) might…
  • Can you post the URL you're at when you timeout? It should have a "char(something@name)" in it.
  • The costumes stick around for a day or so in the browser cache. The data should be practically live. A couple things to check: Are you looking at the shard where you made the changes (Holodeck=http://gateway.startrekonline.com, Tribble=http://gatewaytest.startrekonline.com). Does refreshing the page solve the issue? poz
  • We reorganized some of the URLs in Gateway, so as long as this problem does not persist I think it's expected. Hmmm. We haven't seen that ourselves, but it sounds like the initial load of the Klingon assets (pictures and so on) is slow for you. Once they load up, it redraws correctly. We'll take a look at that; I wouldn't…
  • Which browser are you using? Thanks for your ideas regarding future directions for Gateway. We've definititely been thinking in those directions as well.
  • Good catch. I put on it on the list to be fixed. As you can imagine, Star Trek Online has a lot of data in it, so we added a timeout screen to catch overly long waits. We may have it set too short. I will investigate. Which browser are you using?
  • Perhaps you can tell AVG to allow cookies *.startrekonline.com. Account stuff is at the domain auth.startrekonline.com and the application is gateway.startrekonline.com. Both have cookies.
  • It's out for Holodeck: http://gateway.startrekonline.com and has been for a while. The Tribble version is a similar but different name: http://gatewaytest.startrekonline.com
  • We have been getting a couple reports regarding Account Guard issues. We will check into it right away.
  • The previous problem was very likely because your IP address changed with the wireless setup. However, we removed the dependency on IP address or anything like that which (should have) fixed the problem. We do use a cookie in your browser, so switching browsers, clearing browsing information, and things of that nature will…
  • What browser are you using, and do you have cookies turned on?
  • Fleet information is considerably restricted for non-members. We left in the basics that would help in recruiting. Non-members can see: fleet name, creation date, MotD, description, website, member count, minimum rank, recruiting message, and those in the roster that are allowed to invite new members. They can't see rank…
  • If you get a timeout, go back to character select and select the same character, does it time out again?
  • If you are not a member of the fleet being viewed, you can only see the leaders of the fleet. This is automatic.
  • If you are "visiting" a Fleet page (i.e. not a member) you see less information than someone who is a member. You see just enough to know some basics about the fleet and contact the top officers.
