Yet another Episode of STO:SNR The dazzling enjoyment of Star Trek Online : Server Not Responding; kicked from server, blowing up in STF's because you just sit there, rubber-banding across sector space....
This isn't your system. This problem has been affecting many different people. Three other friends I game with in different regions of the US have had the same problems for weeks. The game is unplayable at times and no one will acknowledge there is a problem, whether it's at Cryptic server side or the final ISP that serves…
That neowin posting was 2 days ago... I am from the NE area, and ping tests and tracert tests are all fine. Logging into 5 other MMO's are fine. Cryptic servers are broken.
I live in New England and have run 5 ping tests to San Fransisco and Los Angeles; no packet loss and a latency of ~90ms average. 3 tracert tests to crypticstudios.com do have some latencies of around 60ms for 5 of the last hops, but it goes through, very similar to Zaalbar's tracert posted above.
The login2_timeout is still going on this AM (August 29th). But these issues have been going on for weeks. That cogent server hit just added insult to injury.
I have been having horrible problems since the "server stability" patch a few days ago. Tonight, it is unplayable. Server not responding until I get kicked from the game. There needs to be a Dev response to this. I'm a Lifetime subscriber and love this game, but the bugs and server issues are getting to the point where…
Interesting idea...I wonder if that's what those "solar gateways" are supposed to be. I guess it's the old "why not beam a tricobalt in the engine room" question. Plot holes aside, the one part that really perplexed me was when after clearing the Starbase of Heralds, Paris wants me to warp to New Romulus. I get the option…
So does this just affect the shield component of the power 'leech' or does it effectively cancel out the entire power benefit across all 4 levels (WSEA)? e.g. If you have plasmonic Leech, do NOT use MACO shield
One other thing you can consider is getting your Science R+D up to 15 so you can slot the Particle Manipulator trait: http://sto.gamepedia.com/Trait:_Particle_Manipulator
Here is a link to the Cluster rewards: http://sto.gamepedia.com/Duty_officer/Special I like to have 1 or 2 alts in the Beta Ursae sector to get the "Haggle for X" missions. I can then funnel those off to other alts for doff missions.
All of the aforementioned are "classics". I have to second the post on Lois McMaster Bujold. But one writer that has become one of my favorite (and unfortunately he just passed away recently) is Iain M. Banks and his Culture series. If you haven't read any of these and you like good science fiction, you have to pick these…
Sure, you can try out FAW1. Your setup is fairly standard for the Miranda. I'm sure someone else will say Skill X is .034% more dps, but to be honest, at the starter level, it really doesn't make a huge difference. It can be a time to play with ensign/Lt powers a bit and it won't get you instantly killed. Have some fun…
