Advanced queues

What do I need to have in order to beat an advanced queue? I've tried all the Borg STFs and failed every one. I tried the mirror event on advanced and got killed by a dozen frigates that shouldn't have scratched the paint on my Odyssey Tactical. (With MK 13 Antiproton, quantum torpedoes and Elite fleet equipment) It seems to me that even the smaller/weaker ships are as strong as some battleships which makes things very difficult. I can see it being that hard for elite queues but I think the advanced queues are way to hard. I know people were asking for a challenge when they run STFs but I think Cryptic went a little overboard.

Normal queues should be quick and easy.

Advanced queues should be a little longer but still doable.

Elite queues should be very difficult and only for people who can take the time to do it right.

    advanced requires more strategy than pew pew...

    I entered ISA with a team and we made sure there was a guy who could spam GWIII like a boss with us. We had a heavy dsper and we had a guy who could tank the tac cube.

    There were some errors, the dsper um... triggered the nanites... but that's why we brought the GWIII guy. He kept the nanites away while we tore apart the generators. Then when it was time to engage the cube and the gate, the tanker kept the cube busy while the rest of the team destroyed the gate.

    That tanker was me... and boy did I eat a lot of damage... I was just busy trying to stay alive but I kept the cube so busy that the others were able to kill the gate.

    Word of advice, you need the following

    1. heavy dsper
    2. crowd controller
    3. Tank
    4. Two healers. One to keep the tank alive and one to keep the dsper alive.

    Then you're good.

    now if you got a team of 5 30k dspers, pew pew works.

    One other question, do I still get the multi-dimensional transporter if I complete a normal mirror event?

    If you post your build, it's possible you can receive some worthwhile advice for helping you have a more surviveable Tac Oddy.

    in my experiance you should be pulling around 10k dps and so should all the other members of your grp.
    Then tactics and are important. Either everybody knows what to do or you and the others should use teamspeak, curse voice, skype or whatever.

    Be able to take care of yourself, which means self heal and good survivability are required...that doesn't mean you need to be a healer. Just keep enough heals for yourself should you get into troubles. That way, there is no need for a dedicated healer or tank.

    Stay clear of pugging...get into one of the organized advanced STF channels. People there can and will help you and people from this channels actually want to succeed in those STFs, which can't be said about all people who pug advanced STFs.
    Go pro or go home

    If you where to give the queues a difficulty scale between 1 and 10, here is what they would have looked like right after DR launch:

    Normal=2
    Adcanced=5
    Elite=9

    After the nerf of 10/23 they look like this:

    Normal=1
    Advanced=4
    Elite=10

    What you are asking for is:

    Normal=1
    Advanced=2
    Elite=10

    basically you want the rewards of the advanced queues for the difficulty of the normal queues. No. The queues are fine and do not need further nerfing. you need to buff yourself instead.

    Just corrected your numbers...
    The fact you spent thousand dollars and have ultra OP end-game ships doesn't mean the game is easy -_-
