and, since the ships are getting shared, not sold or given, I'd be the only one with authorization to modify what weapons, consoles, etc. are installed because they're my ships.

you can use the consoles and buy fleet weapons, opassets, etc., though that will take from your own fleet's provisioning. To buy ships from the upgraded shipyard, you need to be in the fleet that owns that starbase and promoted to a rank that allows you to do so.

not just fleet-type ships....any kind. And while some people might try to use it as such, people who try out a ship they don't have might be inspired to buy and build one of their own. Could go either way

Update: Rogue Squadron currently has 280+ members and is currently working on the last Embassy upgrade. Our Starbase is Tier 3 all around and we are concentrating on the science branch as far as I know, while trying to keep fleet weapons provisioned in engineering. actually, I carefully read the EULA and it says I can use character names, but not actor names. Kinda fun missions too, might wanna look 'em up. Make sure you have alot of DPS for the second one, though.

Will we ever be able to send out bridge officers off on separate missions, or have them accompany us to battle in ships we assign them from our own selection? And do you think you might consider adding a feature so that we can opt to share certain of our ships with fleetmates? That might help in co-op missions.
