Can confirm same issue persists on Xbox One release of game as well. new character cannot claim this set at the moment and I need it until I can get reputations leveled.
I definitely understand your pain. but let's be fair, Bungie is still worse... Cryptic/Perfect World have not taken away any content I purchased yet...
if they updated it, then it rolled out today, as of 12:15 this morning it was still saying 2/2/17 was the start date. and I interpreted it as STO's anniversary as well, not just the PC version.
I think you have a gross misunderstanding of what it means to be a console player. hell yeah, it's bloody convenient to play from one's couch (or in my case recliner) but we are just as invested in our games. we go to reddit for ship builds, we check the official announcements on the website regularly, we grind out for our…
I mean, they COULD post something on the official News section of the Website Dedicated to the console versions of the game... where MOST people check for game updates...
actually, it was advertised in-game for over a month. we have also been asking for details for several weeks. but all this has been stated already. and to everyone, I apologize for the rectal blockages of some of my console compatriots. but on the flip side it would have been nice if they would acknowledge this on the news…
It seems like I've been awarded the free ships every single time. I haven't played the PC version in over a year. y'all are getting hosed, that's for absolute sure. if they would let me apply those codes to the xbox I would be ecstatic, but they won't so they just sit in my inventory.
I was led to believe from the announcements and everything I heard them say that we would be getting the full content available. as a purchaser of content I for the same game I expect to get the same experience, since that was how it was marketed. if they are going to remove content, then they ought to remove all traces of…
I know they are still new, but it kinda feels half-assed. key components of the game weren't even available at launch and several of the ship sets are not even available because they haven't unlocked the ships to buy in the c-store. also, the description of the lifetime subscription on here is different than the lifetime…
the citadel ship isn't terrible, and having two to choose from would make it much more bearable. I just can't understand why they would cut that content. heck, we don't even have Nukara but it's referenced in the main story and reputation stories...
we still don't have any of the voth PvP missions. the only Dyson Marks option we have is the Disconnected Borg and I'm downright sick of running that crappy sim.
My personal opinion is that STO is Soft Canon, however it seems to strive to stay as in line with the official Canon as given by CBS/Paramount. it even strove to integrate the new alternate timeline into itself to remain relevant. for me, that is enough to consider it canon until it does something overtly non-canonical.
You are correct. the klingon's were the only force not taken offline by the weapon. it is from this anomoly that the alterations to federation technology were made. something about the warp cores if memory serves.
I would like to add to this- 9. why make the omni-directional arrays useless by limiting it to one total on starships? I remember playing with one of each array on my ships in the PC version.
Unique Consoles seem to be an issue for the consoles in my personal experience. I have found that I have to have all the unique consoles equipped before my officers, then, if they pop up in the engineering, tactical, or science tab, you cannot set a quick use power, or you have to buy a new ship and repeat the process.
first and foremost that comes to mind is Warframe. Digital Extremes allowed direct transfer of all assets for free. second, although slightly different, in Destiny Bungie Allows characters to be imported from last-gen consoles to current-gen consoles (completely separate servers) at no cost as well. but I do very much…
I don't accept that answer. every other game that has ported to the consoles has separate servers, but they all import. it would be nice if Arc or Perfect World would actually make a statement about it. I cannot find any official answer to my question.
however the xbox one does offer peripheral support for keyboards. I am not sure about a mouse but could definitely be able to work in the keyboard for more advanced users. and, with a little help from microsoft, could probably get 16 button support on the Elite controller. then microsoft and perfect world could both make…
Question for the devs or those others in the know: will we be able to transfer characters and such to the consoles? I am really excited for this. I was forced to stop playing when the updates were officially too much for my desktop to handle. my laptop was in no way amenable to the experience of star trek online, although…
