That was my understanding, although I doubt there are many of those consoles still around. The bug is that the collector accepts lots of random and normal sci consoles in exchange for latinum. Also, thanks tarastheslayer!
Yeah, it definitely shouldn't have been allowed. It was a classic "small sample size" type of thing that did us in: as a very large fleet with open recruiting we got some trolls, some looters, a TRIBBLE, and some homophobes. Some of those times happened when the three of us (the fleet leaders) weren't on, and others kicked…
Thanks, I figured it was something like that. And, yeah, removing the ability to kick people out of the fleet was the first thing we did. Major mistake on our part :(.
The usual advice is to put the r&d doffs on active duty, and then take them off. That makes them bound and gives them that little padlock icon, so you can immediately visually identify them when doing doff donations or assignments or whatever. Sadly, I still manage to eventually donate them, because I am dumb. So I agree…
I highly doubt any of them will jump in on this thread. However, http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1382681 is the post you want (it shows that its up on tribble). And those types of patches generally make it to holodeck on the next update. Or, I guess, tomorrow we should see the holodeck patch notes come…
for captains who aren't really all that (like me!) the current UI lag thing will drop dps scores by a fair bit, and if/when that gets fixed, there will be a natural bump. Just something to note, if the "two weeks" period is going to start before that gets fixed (as seems likely).
That second option sounds like a *lot* of work to be effective, particularly if you don't implement real (i.e. every single run) hard caps for 50k and 30k. First option sounds good (not a member of 50k, so whatevs).
It is still missing right now, but is (I believe) coming back with the next patch. (At least, the most recent tribble patch notes says it is restored so it shows up in sector space).
Omnibeam Yeah, its a phaser. It used to be an antiproton back before the crafting revamp, although I'm not sure why I upgraded the mk level on it but didn't change it to phaser. The mods are arc, acc, dmg, and crth. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it comes down the higher base dps (the reduced distance penalty probably helps, but I…
Hmm, that seems like it gave the wrong link. Hopefully this works. http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/?build=ashtarprimevesta_7268 Also, listen to whatever edalgo says over me. THAT SAID: Plasmonic Leech Yeah, if you have a Plasmonic Leech, you should use it. ALL THE POWER :). You have a slightly more targeted…
You can use that TBR pull also if you are facing a sizable mob, then just change targets to whoever is in front of you and/or isn't getting flung around. But I agree that it works best against cubes, gates, planet killers and so on (also, annoying pets). Probably if your an all-star pilot you can still get it to work well…
I always like to see another aux-cannon vesta pilot :). My build is somewhat similar. http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/?build=ashtarprimevesta_72684 (everything else is in "notes"). Maybe looking at it will give some ideas (probably not). Looking at yours has given me some! :). A few thoughts: Honestly, its…
I mean, so long as you have other uses for your dil and ECs, then yeah, it might not be the best option (to put it lightly). but as a long-term option on your main who is equipped pretty much how you like, it still seems like something to keep in mind.
1885 (for mk iv dhc), so more like 4. But that only reinforces your point: yeah, this will be a *very* long process unless you are thoroughly loaded. But that is why I was originally just interested in efficiency, although I should have separated EC/Dil efficiency. (No idea about the R&D weekend thing. That would be good…
Good point, if you've got loads of refined dil, but not much in the way of EC, then the superiors may be a better choice. Since I can craft (some) superiors I can make a bunch of EC pretty easily for the time being. So I've got lots of EC, but only have my daily dil refining cap available.
