well, found it, and it's damn near invisible against the background. can hardly see it
Yeah, it's definitely not easy to see. That said, it requires about the same amount of "travel" to get there as it does to get to the shipyard area on ESD. You're just flying your ship there instead of running (although I guess you still have to run inside when you actually beam aboard the Klingon shipyard). Oh well; there goes what little design logic I was giving them
'Surface Tension' has you flying between all that.
'But to be logical is not to be right', and 'nothing' on God's earth could ever 'make it' right!'
Judge Dan Haywood

l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
The shipyard and space station at Qo'nos are separate. When you enter the Qo'nos system, to your left will be the space station, to your right will be the shipyard, and in front of you is the planet. Flying in range of either should allow you to beam onto them, or dock. I can't say for sure on this, as I seldom go to Qo'nos. I tend to head to Ganalda station instead. It has a better setup than Qo'nos.
As you enter Ganalda, the back hallway to the club, to the right of that entrance is a security officer. The hallway to the right will take you to a tailor and ground requisitions area. The hallway to the left will take you to ship selection/management/requisition and bank/mail/exchange.
They should replace that really small station with something like the Ty'Gokor station: The station itself should be surrounded with shipyards around it with ships docked and dozens of ships patrolling around.
It just way too small and far away that it's ridiculous. I have lost count of how many times I couldn't see it. It should be littered with shipyards all over the place. The Klingon put all their resources into military might yet it appears they have barely any ship yards at all or ships floating around. It just looks odd.

I use the Temporal D7 on one of my characters and I've always been tweaking and changing it's look. Desperately trying to make it look like it "should" in my mind. Like the K'tinga in The Undiscovered Country. After seeing the pic below, I'm pretty hyped though. Can't wait!
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
Also all the red nebula/gases don't help at all. I don't remember Qo'noS ever having so much red in their space.

Technically, the planet itself is supposed to be mainly a steaming jungle which is the reason the movie version of their ships are always somewhat foggy, not a desert (and the short line of sight in that kind of terrain could explain their clinging to melee weapons long after others dropped them for ranged ones).
The planet should look green and have lots of water dotted around like the one in terranempire's pictures, though I suppose the desert in the game could be the burned off side of the planet from the Praxis disaster (though the long time since then should have made serious dents in the damage even if the Klingons never bothered to try repairing it).
The nebulas are probably meant to give the planet the same kind of reddish light as the ships usually do. The Bounty was apparently overhauled fairly extensively at Vulcan, not only was the command area changed around but it lost the reddish light and fog. It was probably the driest Klingon BoP around until it ended up in the bay.

I am really looking forward to that D7/K'tinga revamp.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
I wish they would put more pieces for the D7 subtypes in the customizer, like the extended torpedo ring of the Klolode-class that was seen in TAS and Romulan bird paint patterns from "The Enterprise Incident" (though the bird is technically Romulan).
Also the video about the Khitomer redesign seemed to say some First City elements may change, but an overhaul is not doable.
So new tutorial, ship interiors, cutsences, ship and uniform textures...
The cynic in me fears #StovokorSaturday may already be running out of steam...
I am actually not sure if the tutorial is going to be outright replaced, or if they're just going to overhaul the ship maps so it matches up better with what they are doing.
My only fear is these shinies will be locked away behind a whale paywall. If it's lockbox or expensive legendary packs then casuals like me will be locked out of it. Just give me a K'tinga/D7 for 3k zen and I'll be happy.

Well that is true. In the video, Kael conceded that Kithomer is not used in the current KDF content. He said because the Romulans use it when they choose a faction, it is kind of like a Romulan update.
He also talks about Khitomer in the context of the “Khitomer Alliance.”
That implies the map was actually improved for future content not primarily to update past content.
But he also talks about a tutorial ship bridge that is used like the AOY and Discovery intro sets. So if the tutorial is not outright revamped...certain elements would likely have to change—because if I can recall the current KDF tutorial—I believe much of the setting is on Qo’nos.
At least one of them is from TNG @markhawkman but if you need specific pictures of Qo'noS after the destruction of Praxis I can show the exact same thing as those pictures above with no red space or otherwise from the episode TNG "Redemption"? But I won't have to because you surely watched the same series as me and know very well it was never portrayed as red.
I understand why they made it red. Klingons are associated with red. I also read that STO made it so that part of Praxis survived (even though the whole thing was blown to oblivion in Undiscovered Country). I am assuming the red gases is from mining the astroid. I still wish they would remove most of it from the map though because it makes it difficult to see anything while it's there.

That what STO lore says. I am looking at the movie.

BEHOLD my last video of TNG redemption with no Red space that you TWO IGNORED. Honestly you two just argue for the sake of it. If you like the red empty nebula space so much fine.
I even admit that there are two reasons why it exists in STO. You on the other hand gave no explanation other than "It's before Praxis!"

It should have been from that explosion alone. I am amazed anyone survived to send any transmission.

Yeah, I've started parking up at Ganalda aswell
You can fly to the shipyard and dock at the shipyard directly
