I changed my char and gave me the login issue, closing the game and launcher and opening again seems to solve it… every time i have to change chars...
Nope. Not a solution. I tried a full game close... and I can't even get past the Launcher because it was unable to authenticate connection.
They are two separate issues. He had the connection failed logged out while he was in STO Game or Character screen, you have the i can't even start the game because the of authentication problems. But yeah the mod who moved my threat was a real genius cause my issues had nothing to do with the authentication, but i m glad they are keeping taps on what is what around here....

Nice to know that I am not the only one. I thought my account got TRIBBLE. I will give support some time to figure this out. It has happened so many times since I been playing since game since Beta.

Same here...It would be nice if we got an update or for that matter any info at all....Maybe we should all go on facebook and twitter and express our dissatisfaction of this game in detail to everyone who will listen.....too bad I like the game but this is BS. I am downloading Steam to my pc right now to see if I can log in that direction.

Still failing for me after tryign on and off for better part of an hour. Tried restarts, arc restarts, and bypassing arc and launcher entirely (though in the process found that Arc has mangled my installs at this point cross-pollinating NWO and STO files - WTF is that about).
So for now I'm going to boldly go to Guild Wars... [sound of money getting blown out the airlock] Hope it gets fixed soon...
Alright,I've done a traceroute last night, but when i actually right clicked on Troubleshoot problems in the notification bar then i'm having trouble accessing a certain website ect,typed in the hexidecimal for for the patch server it said it might be an issue for Sto's firewall.I wonder if there is an open session in the snap-on console for the server?
When I get connected I can stay connected for about 3 minutes before being disconnected due to server timing out. Then I spend 20 minutes trying to re-connect to the account server. When I connect, I have to wait several minutes for the account server to show my toons. Then, when I select a toon I am timed out 9 out of 10 times. Then, if I get in, back to the 3 minutes play time before being timed out. This is not an ISP issue on my end. My connection is working just fine.
What happened to those unique forum ranks I paid for?

Thanks for the wonderful news. Arc is doing another patch at the launcher. Maybe it will be working soon
