This was fixed earlier today but now its back again. I can't log in due unable to connect to authentication server. Have they said when this will be sorted out?
Happening to me again. I was playing in my Vulcan ship, then went to change characters to check on a cannon and got kicked. Now getting the failure to authenticate.
Stil, got the last endeavor of healing 150k hull, which was his last to get. Combining melee damage and Melting Pot for the Attendants gave him two for one.
Same Here, had just unlocked the box ran the ship through some 'Borg alerts & Gorn Alerts' then tested it in a 'Counterpoint' Pug run, then decided to switch characters and didn't even get the chance to leave the sector screen map, it just froze up, dsc.d me, & then stayed locked up until I closed it from 'Task Manager' and now can't even get by the initial Sign-up window that pops up with ARCs activation (I can't even do a ~Force Verify~ on it) it just gives me the same "Unable to Authenticate - Notification" that we all got yesterday...
We have an event which means we need to collect items, but you cannot do it because the game kicks you out all the ruddy time. Please explain what your doing about it guys?

"Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out" ITS BAAAAACK! about as annoying as newer set turrets from different sets thinking they are omni-beams for item count for equiping them with actual omni-beam set items for other sets.
Strangely my STO login was fines until now despite seeing problems with NWO yesterday, but as of a few minutes ago I can't even make it out of the launcher login due to "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out."
Forget feeding the hamster, it's likely dead. Send in the nanoprobes.
10:49 UTC. 2nd day. Can't get past launcher from Australia at all now. "Unable to authenticate." Before maintenance could get in but not change toon without disconnect. Tracert etc look fine from my side. We cannot log on. The end comes soon. We hear drums, drums in the deep... They are coming.
Well, I guess I'll try again in an hour or so, and if it's not working, guess I'll be looking for another game to start playing for the next year or so, something that happens when they hit a period of this with login issues. Problem is I spend about $200-300 a month on this game when I'm actively playing it, but when it does this sort of thing, I'm gone for about a year or so and I spend that money on other games instead, never looking back until I sort of remember this game exists. I was kind of hoping to at least get six months of active playing before this happened again. Oh well.
