It's baaaaack. Can't log in either. Was fine for the first three toons, then I tried changing to the fourth but it would accept when I hit "change character". Then got booted to log in screen which just kept timing out and now the launcher says "unable to authenticate".
Your tribbles seem to have gone into a major strike guys, you may want to consider feeding them better.

My ISP is CableOne but you may want to note that I don't use their DNS, I'm using CloudFlare's DNS as my primary and Google's DNS as my secondary.
Hope this helps. To me it looks like a routing issue on Akamai's end or the last hop from Akamai to Cryptic's server's messed up somehow. Probably easy to fix.

Hey guys i've let them know that there are some folks having issues still. if you continue to have issues, then feel free to try all along. technology is fickle at best sometimes but this will be ironed out.
"Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again." - Jean Luc Picard in Star Trek Generations
i played one character ok this a.m. but after trying to switch now i can't get in anymore.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
Also, please keep things civil in here. I don't like issues anymore than you folks nor do the developers. the moment i know something and get a green light to pass it on to you guys I will do so. it takes time to iron these issues out.

I was in Neverwinter this morning, but assume it is the same issue for STO.
The problem has shifted (for me) over the past 24 hours.
24 hours ago, the game would not even reach the Account server.
@16 hours ago, STO would reach the Account/Login server, get as far as showing my character list, then disconnect after about about a minute. It was not possible to click Play in that case. Once every 30-45 minutes or so, I could get in on a character, but if I did, I would get a random disconnect after about 5-10 minutes ("Disconnected from server" message")
I hadn't tried STO this morning, but on NWO side, I could get through Account/Login, to showing my Character list, at which point a small timer-circle would show up. The timer-circle then either blinks off and allows me to hit "Enter World", at which point I mostly get in, but sometimes it would disconnect at the end of the zone loading bar (98%). Or, if the timer-circle is visible for more than about 30% of a revolution, it means it won't connect and will go back to "Disconnected from Server" after a minute or so of circling.
If I did get in, again, typically a random disconnect after 5-15 minutes. If I switch characters, once in, sometimes it works, sometimes I get the timer-circle issue as above, or sometimes the screen goes black and a dialog pops up saying something like "Waiting to redirect" (I forgot to write it down)… waits a minute or so, then says "Disconnected from Server" again and pops me back to the login screen.
I had this early this morning before the patch happening and it keeps going. Also since the anniversary the character loading into the game is slow and stops 98.xx for several seconds before it goes into the game. Its much slower then it used to be, not sure if the one thing has something to do with the other.
C-Store Inc. is still looking for active members on the fed side. If you don't have a fleet feel free to contact me in game @stegi.
I got to 99.1% character loading, sat there for 30 seconds or so, then got a CTD with this error:
"ERROR: attempted to update skeleton with no Costume
Line: c:\src\libs\WorldLib\dynSkeleton.c(6762)"
Note that I do not have a C:\src folder...
Somebody else said something that he renamed his costume at the taylor and that fixed it for him. But frankly i don't want to log through 50+ chars and rename costumes at the Taylor, thats a bug they need to fix. I can get ingame but everytime i switch chars i get knocked out and have to reload the game entirely.

That just might work...IF I could get into the game to do it.
