I despise the armor. Can't the female version have a bit more femininity to it? If I wanted to look like a football player, I would be playing Madden NFL 16.

I think it's a step forward that wearing combar armour doesn't force me into sexualized curves but is just combat armour. Although I think this armour looks like an Autobot, not like a Klingon. Might be the colouring.

I think it's a step toward more homogenized blandness. Why spend all that time in the tailor customizing our characters if we wind up all looking the same in our armor? It's possible to be protected and still have style. This stuff is just ugly.

    But that bat'leth is sweet.

My my only hope is that the deflector + set bonus add up to more than +40 flow caps. Otherwise, it's just one more set I'll ignore since it does nothing meaningful for science (yet again). Frankly, I'm extremely annoyed that the last 3 reputations have all ignored science and just gone for pure defense and offense boosts.

Anybody else thinks that rifle should have been a freaking railgun?

    Yes.

All in all, I have to say this is the best looking ground set to date. Kudos Cryptic.

well theres the rear end... you can still have a nice butt with it at least. :p the Dyson armor has the same kinda design in front, but I SUSPECT the bulky armor chest plate will be optional.

Guess I got my new melee gear set combo.

To be honest, in couple with the ground set, the tactical kit module makes me scratch my head. A MINI PHOTON TORP? You know a photon is pretty much a more efficient nuke right? I sure do hope you have to be at a far range before you can fire it. Lol.

Took some shots at the armor with different color scheme here.

This is the BEST set yet. Mostly because it's available in Uniform category! Or, it's NOT a category of its own like the other armors. I seriously hope this sets a precedent for future sets and hopefully enables the other sets to follow suit in the future. Being able to mix-n-match all those pieces is amazing. Hoping it's not an oversight too.

yeah, it looks alittle tholianish about the head.

also cryptic I want you to know that kdf joined trill I just made, wasn't cause I wanted to use this gear without having to getting my main of his counter command gear.

    B) I'm surprised no one is talking about the look of the ship. The ground gear looks sweet, but that ship is rather cool too. Is the Terran Empire about to start deploying Shadow vessels?

    I'm surprised to say that...
I think I'll use about half or more of what's in this rep if it stays as is (on one character or another). The only things I couldn't figure out how to use in some way are the space shield and engine, and at first two rep trait passives.

Think about it. Engineers are able to deploy QUANTUM mortars. And Quantum warheads are more powerful than Photon.

Besides... The Micro Photon Launcher is probably going to be like a real world Bazooka. I wonder if the animation of us firing it will = latest?cb=20050408182108&path-prefix=en

Well I was figuring its in seperate categories.

After all, we have photon grenades, and this is classified as a micro photon "torpedo " launcher.
Theres a difference between a grenade and a torpedo.
Even though quantum technically packs more of a punch, it depends on the charge size I'd guess on what you're firing from a launcher ( I'll assume shoulder launcher ) compared to a mortar launcher.

Surprisingly, yes (but they will replace the Terran Shoulder Pads). All Terran Armor pieces seem to be available in Off-Duty. Which seems WAY too good to be true.

Well aspects of the new sets look defiantly interesting. I like it that some stuff suggests good enhancements for “discrete” builds (ground melee, space drain, space kinetic). That’s cool because the new rep is rather not a grind as in get 3000 marks to grab full sets then but rather a pick certain parts to enhance your builds.

Even though stats are not given yet the whole thing doesn’t look like so much of booster to power creep to me but instead an attempt to bring underused approaches to the game more in line.

    It's cool. :)

Not really liking the look of the new gear. The rifle is hueg and a brick, and I'm just not feeling the aesthetics of the armor. I like the Dyson, MACO and Omega sets a lot more.

It's going to take a lot for me to trade in my Omega Autocarbine.

Not a fan of the weapons, really. Meh-worthy, overall. The only redeeming factor (maybe, depending on functionality and implementation) is being able to collapse the Bat'leth. Though aesthetically, they're both underwhelming to me.

The armor seems like it'll look decent enough though.

Not bad, but not good either. Looks close to the standard armour we already have, but then it includes a bulky helmet. I am certainly not going to run a project to get it. The great thing in this game is that we have a wonderful character customization. We can just look as we like.

The gear is developped by House Pegh. Reading that gave me a lol moment. These are the guys that organise a mission for you with a hole inhabitant. No offense to the KDF and it icons, I am a thrue KDF player, but idiots are idiots in my book.

Since they are involved in the development can we have a mini clone of Kahless as a following non-comat pet. We can clone and minituarize in the 24th century, can we?

Yeah, I got a bit of a chuckle at the "technology developed the fight the Federation" bit myself. Why do I have a picture of a group of MACOs flipping through some of the Pegh tech manuals and laughing?

I understand your point from a customization standpoint and as such I would support having options. For me personally, I put on armour when it's needed and afterwards I put on my regular clothes again and I actually like that it looks practical. But I have been in favour of "practical" female armour in games since forever as I cringe every time we're supposed to wear either skimpy ones or have some stylized mammae tagged on. There was the Elder Scrolls example earlier in this thread and I do accept the way those games had a male and female armour set, I am not opposed to it as long as it's not a blatant attempt at sexploitation, but overall I like the uni design on this one and welcome that it doesn't come with exposed décolletage that says "shoot here for maximum effect".

I'm indifferent about the Bath'Let. Looks like a plastic toy to me, have to see it in-game pig-2.gif
