Yeah, just read up on it. Seems like some pretty neat stuff.
The Bat'leth also looks super-wicked. I imagine it flips open like a hilariously dangerous switchblade.
What I'm personally curious about is the new Tac Module: Micro-photon Torpedo Launcher. The way the thing is described, it sounds like the player character launches it in some fashion, and not by turret. I'm suspecting that this new module has an animation where you whip out an actual bazooka-like weapon.
Yeah, the bat'leth looks awesome. Probably one version will be holtstered. As for the torp, at first I thought it will be something like the orbital strike or polaron bombardment, from above. But you right, went and read it again and its described as somewhat homing, as it locks on its target ?!?
My my only hope is that the deflector + set bonus add up to more than +40 flow caps. Otherwise, it's just one more set I'll ignore since it does nothing meaningful for science (yet again). Frankly, I'm extremely annoyed that the last 3 reputations have all ignored science and just gone for pure defense and offense boosts.
Anybody else thinks that rifle should have been a freaking railgun?
Indeed. Love the look and imo it suits nice for the high density beam animation.
Its klingon design afterall, but I understand you. I was expecting somesort of cloak/stealth, since it designed by a hidden/stealth house that its the equivalent of Starfleet Intel or Section 31. But ah well... for me the visuals look way too beautiful not to get it.
I'm very tempted by the torp+console passive and the warp core is interesting, I'll have to contrast it against my fleet ones, I very much like the idea of my power levels rising during combat... Which on my DRB build could be devastating...
Never going to use the bat'leth anyway so that's no problem.
Fair enough, but that texture/color would look pretty good on the rifle. That said, given that this gear is coming from a joint effort, it'd be nice if there was a choice of melee weapons in the set.
I despise the armor. Can't the female version have a bit more femininity to it? If I wanted to look like a football player, I would be playing Madden NFL 16.
No. It's armour.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Some of that stuff boosts phasers too.... actually all the stuff related to undine rep.
Besides, you're talking to someone who likes to use pseudo rainbow phaser just for lolz. We've got orange, green, blue-green, and blue variants to play with.

"some of these stuffs" no, only 1 of "these stuffs" have phaser boost.
and we r talking about variety options and not colors.
even if wanna talk about same color, disruptor still win.
rainbow is meh.

The green and blue-green phasers have special procs. Xindi has a DoT.

That made me laugh. But it's a good point.
How exactly is it a good point!? It's bloody armour. Go put on the spangle Iconian armour if you want something for your curves, if you actually want to be protected, put on armour that doesn't curve .

Frankly I think female characters should always have the choice to whether they wear either male or female styles. Not all women wear supposedly feminine outfits after all.

MACO armor wants a word with you. And so does Honor Guard armor.
IMO the armor that looks like Football gear to me would have to be the Delta armor.

It would be good if we can choose which torpedo launcher to use with the Munitions set. Since quantums are definitely and possibly transphasic, Federation technology. The Federation use both photons and quantums on their ships.
The armor looks sweet, but it seems cryptic is unable to make a helmet with less than 75% glass panes, seriously, a closed bulky helmet fallout/stormtrooper style wold fit the armor way more than that glass dome.
I prefer my armor in my video games to sit neatly in what I call the "Elder Scrolls Zone", wherein female armor is plainly and evidently female, without compromising the practical satisfaction of full coverage. STO in general errs slightly towards the practical end of the ESZ with its armor visuals, barring only canonical-acceptably cleavage-tacular KHG armor and the hilariously awful but respectably equal-opportunity Iconian metallic spandex.
It looks like the build I have on my KDF Tac's Science Pilot ship will benefit from this space set quite a bit. I'd like to see the actual stats, though, before I get too excited. I will go through the Rep anyway, so I'll probably mess around with the set regardless.....
Ground looks good, too...I'm interested in the personal photon launcher. Again, seems like a win for my KDF Tac
Just, why does it have to be provided by House Pegh, i.e. the people who make a complete mockery of the term "special operations forces"?

So many options now.
I lvoe you devs for new melee ground stuff, and I hate you at the same time for making me have to shuffle my stuff around to figure out where I'm going to put it so i can use it!

The High Density Beam Rifle is essentially an energy based rail gun as it fires in a straight line though multiple opponents so that part fits the bill.
While it is not my preferred weapon type i have tested the HD rifles on various maps and have come to the conclusion that they can be very effective. Still the type simply doesn't have a high degree of compatibility with my preferred style.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
