This is very nice. But we're still missing titles. Also wanting an option not to skip to first unread post when clicking on a thread. Let's be patient :)

A method of communication between your browser and a remote server which is not secure and trivially eavesdropped on. For example, if someone wanted your password on this forum, they could obtain it without much effort. If you put money into your account via a credit card on arcgames.com, that information could be obtained as well.

Like I said, see the articles linked previously. This is a very serious problem. Then again, you are using Internet Explorer, so it's likely that you don't care about security at all.
You linked a 50 page wiki document without explaining which part was actually useful to read, TLDR. Another document about a specific encryption protocol(aRC4) without explaining it's importance. a document about a specific type of attack, again without explaining it's relevance. And a fourth document specifically about cracking Rc4.... In other words, you want people to take your word for it. I'm not going to spend hours reading random articles trying to figure out the point you're trying to make.

See, what you described is what I would expect of a system with NO encryption at all. Trivial eavesdropping requires nothing more than copying a transmission and reading it. The types of attacks mentioned in those articles require a specialized software tool that is not trivial to acquire.
I don't think he wants you to take his word for it, but he wants you to spend the same amount of time as he did to learn what he knows. Unless you're going to read the primary research and personally verify the researchers' claims, you're going to have to take someone's word for it. And what's really important for these types of attacks is how hard they are for malicious hackers to perform; obviously, they are beyond the average user.
Perhaps I chose my words poorly. He wants me to take his word for it that the problem is as severe as he claims. None of he sources he provided actually supported his statement that "if someone wanted your password on this forum, they could obtain it without much effort". He posted a few sources, but did not make a case for his position at all and instead apparently expected me to spend hours reading the sources in order to figure out his position. no bueno.
I will attempt to explain what I know about RC4. Bear in mind that I am not an expert on computer security, but I have done some reading on this particular issue, because I was investigating the SSL errors on arcgames.com. You don't have to take my word for it; you can search Google yourself. None of this information is difficult to find, but not all of it is easy reading. I, myself, don't understand the technical details of how the attacks work, but I have read enough to get an idea of the consensus within the security community.
That was actually useful info. :)

While I still prefer the old ones...these are definitely better now.

The old forum was much better. With this new one, there is STILL no option to ONLY view the threads updated since my last visit. It STILL shows 100 pages of threads.

Cryptic, if you read this thread, make a button to show threads since last visit.

If they added the option to only view new threads in the game you care about and to view threads where devs made comments, it would be fine. These new forums still suck. Heck, it seems even the devs don't like them since the amount of responses here went down drastically while they skyrocketed in reddit.

why? you can access forums via browser without arc

No you cannot. While you might be able to read forum posts you CANNOT post on them without using Arc.
I've tried too many times and it always wants you to go get a a login passcode to verify who you are.
I have never liked using log-in passcodes or the need for some type of program to track my every move.
Has anyone else nioticed the fact that 3 browzer programs are opened the same time Arc is run? So
now someone tell me just why they are opened except to track you. If I couldn't run STO without Arc,
I'd delete it and NEVER play again.

    You're 100% wrong.

I don't have Arc installed on any of my computers, or my work computer and can post on the forums just fine. Arc is in no way shape or form required to post on the forums.

And while we're on the subject, you can run STO without Arc. You can run the Star Trek Online .exe file right out of the install folder without even touching Arc. If you hate Arc you can uninstall it and still play STO. Just copy your Star Trek Online install first to make sure Arc doesn't remove it during the uninstall process.

I don't know where you get your information about Arc, but it's all completely and totally wrong.

Not entirely fixed. When I log into the forums it still takes me to http://www.arcgames.com/en/games and I have to navigate back to the forums. And there is still no option when writing comments to highlight text in the comment box then select a color from a palette. Other than that the forums really do look tons better then before. :)

Edit: Forgot something. When we first migrated over we were able to delete notifications in our account settings but a couple or so weeks later that feature was removed. I've got tons of notifications from threads I've posted in. Some threads get posted in multiple times a day giving me many notices for each thread. And most of these threads I haven't posted in for a while.

    Account>Preferences>Notification Settings

Doesn't seem to be any way to just turn off notifications. There are 2 options for everything: receive an email and/or a pop up notification for various situations. The pop ups I'm assuming are what I see pop up in the bottom left corner of my browser saying someone had posted in a thread somewhere. I don't want to turn off notifications in case I want to check a thread I've posted in before to see what people say. I just want a way to delete notifications.
