I feel for the players that play Engineers. With the new tactical kit module, one of their captain ground abilities is just given away to tactical officers.
It may be less predictable than Orbital Strike, but still... was it really necessary to give tactical captains yet another powerful ability?
Well in hindsight...I always questioned why this ability was given to Engineers. Granted, I love it but calling in orbital bombardment support from your ship sounded more tactical than engineer.
Ah some cool stuff coming up from those lock boxes. Awesome to fly around in one of those Vaadwaur ships. 1 question though: Do we have to open up a million lock boxes again for even a slight chance of getting one of those fancy ships?

Assuming the odds match all previous boxes (except the no longer relevant gold boxes), then yes. About 200 has been the rate.
Since I don't have an account bank. To swap over the crystals. I see only my KDF will get the double barrel rifle. Since they are bind on pickup. Oh well at least one character will get it. It will work well with him since he melee with his other weapon. So I can make good use out of it. This will make me play my KDF even more.
Now to see what the regular weapons will be for my other characters.

An ancient race, desperate to reclaim the glory of their once-great empire, and subjugate or destroy any that would stand in their way - sound familiar? (HINT: It rhymes with schimonians.)
Only thing I could come up with was [REDACTED]... dun suppose we could see any metreon in game eh? Double dose against metreon poisoning.
I know that new races means new ships and whatnot, but what happened to Star Trek online actually being about Starfleet/Klingon Empire/Romulan Republic interacting with these races? When did the core factions become all about commandeering other race's starships?
I would actually like to see new ships that resemble the faction they are for. Granted, I also like the new race ships and the universal consoles (Because all technology is interchangeable with other technology) that can be installed on any ship. But really, this is not Space Adventures online, this is Star Trek online.
Meow, I love the Supurrrrrmeowcy trait ... STF's might get a bit easier with it, specially after the new time restrictions on the failures. ^^ I don't care about balance, I neve did PVP and I never will.

Mmmm... Vaadwaur guns...
Depending on what kind we get, my KDF just might have some new guns to play with. And of course my Fed main has to be a packrat and collect some guns...
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

The lockbox looks interesting, if I wanted more alien stuff to fly, wear, or use. But I really do not. I understand others do, and I'm glad for them.;)
However, this is yet another lockbox I will not be getting, as all I really want to fly is iconic ships of the line, old, and eventually (I hope) new, for the playable factions already in game.
I was really hoping the big deal for the 5th STO anniversary, would be the release of a 4th faction in game. Preferably the Cardassians, or Dominion.
Anyways, maybe one day we can get another lockbox that focus on faction ships, past, present, future that are in game, rather than yet another alien lockbox.:(

Yeah I can't believe they didn't release two expansions three months apart. Get on it DEVS!
I sense that many people will be making Star-Lord toons.
That's what I thought when I saw the new clothing....Star-Lord and since you can inter-mix the costume...I just can't wait to see various versions of Star-Lord running around.
Hmm....okay, not a big escort fan..I have enough for my tacs. Now the console and the modules are what have my attention.
And the APU crusier, depending on the layout for my Rom and Klink.
I may also grab one of those. The ship just screams full turret build.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I glad the vaadwaur lockbox is out because I plan on having freelancing chars is the future. I flan to have a Ferengi flying the D'Kora marauder, A Vorta or Jem'hadar flying a Jem'hadar carrier, a Hirogen flying a apex battleship, maybe a Voth, and a Vaadwaur flying the hvy artillery vessel. While everyone else sticks to their factional ships and weapons.

And I, for one, am most definitely NOT looking forward to the unwelcome 'return' of BFAW Scimitards, because this ridiculous trait has that written all over it
Everybody is excited about yet another new lockbox content...
...and I'm just sitting here in my mirror heavy cruiser retrofit, saving up for all the TNG costumes, so that I could never buy any other piece of clothing, ever.
(Also, even though it has been said before, it's becoming even funnier how the Federation, Klingons and Romulans were at war since only like forever, capturing each other's ships fair and square, as seen in the "Doomsday Device" mission - but the only way to get a ship your faction didn't make - not counting the instances where it is a part of a mission - is to wait until some random explorers in some random piece of universe stumble upon a new civilisation, and BOOM, suddenly Lobi Consortium will somehow already have about a bajillion of them salvaged, ready to use and included in their lockbox business, just waiting for you to unpack them... :-D)
Yes really. That's a key plot point and even mentioned directly in the article. When they were first discovered, their technology was woefully out of date and no one considered them a potential threat despite that they had a nasty attitude. Sometime between now and then, and nobody yet knows how, they got their hands on a major technology and resource upgrade. It took everyone by surprise.
Of course, it's not just a plot point or a way to justify making a major threat out of a one shot villain of the week, it also parallels the real rise of TRIBBLE Germany from a beaten down and impoverished nation ground under the heels of the victorious Allies to a major world power able to launch a devastating conquest assault across a large chunk of the Eastern Hemisphere in just a few years. The Vaads are already TRIBBLE analogues, so the parallel fits.
The more I started thinking about it, the more parallels like this came to mind, and now I really start to even have reservations about using any part of their uniforms or outfits, and wonder if I should avoid that even with how good they look aesthetically. It seems like it could send the wrong message the more I consider it. :-/

Yeah. Aside from the corrosive plasma, the delta box wasn't that great.
Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
I dare you to do better.

You could nab one on your very first go. I nabbed a Wells Ship with my third key I ever used - Over a year after I used the first two.

Or is that just some special ship mode that you can toggle, like with the Guramba or the Dyson ships?
