Vaadwaur Lock Box Overview

We're pleased to announce our latest Lock Box that will be coming with our Anniversary - The Vaadwaur Lock Box! The Delta Expedition has scoured the Quadrant for all the Vaadwaur gear they could find. From their iconic military uniforms, to their ships with devastating artillery barrages, this is loaded up with tons of goodies!

    Although i am not a fan of lock boxes. I must say, this box offers a heck of a lot and some very nice stuff at that!

    I saw a "Cyclops" earlier today(a rather good one too).... I imagine that there are already Starlord chars somewhere.

    Finally the day has arrived!

    I find it interesting that one ship has an Intel hybrid seat while the other has a Command hybrid seat. That Supremacy trait is gonna be so OP though. @_@

    No news on the mysterious purple [Redacted] hardpoints from the concept art of the Heavy Artillery ship? I have a hankering for broadside cannons you know...

    Also appearing on the Lobi Crystal Store will be the Vaadwaur Pythus Fighter. This stylish small craft utilizes the classic visual appearance of the Vaadwaur, as seen in Voyager. Every Pythus Fighter comes pre-equipped with a 360-degree Vaadwaur Polaron Emitter Array, and has integrated access to Cannon Scatter Volley I.

    But I thought Cannon Scater Volley does NOT work on Beam Emiters :confused:

    It's for Cannons :confused:

    Yup, just stack it with plasmonic leech, and BOOM! I wonder if the "small" boost is 1 and it stacks up to +20 power.

    P2W trait if I ever saw one.

    The rest of the lockbox stuff? Meh. At least they added more R&D doffs into the game, even if they are behind the paywall.

    The traits and drones are interesting.

    The Vaadwaur trait is scary. Even if people don't want to fly the vaadwaur ship then they will want that probably OP trait.

    Didn't expect the APU to become the T5 in the box. Specifics on the stats of the new ships are going to get a lot of attention.

    As for the supremacy trait, i see a return of the full turret builds.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    They look pretty bad, they put black outlines on a bunch of stuff making the images look very cheap and dated like Champions Online. It's almost like they thought we would be too stupid to be able to visually separate the ship/weapon from the background, so they did it for us.

    Oh my...that trait is going to unbalance the game even worse. Dang BFAW builds are already out of control...



    The clothing, however...will people be able to put it on the Exchange? If so I might save EC for it. But I am not willing to put Zen in game or use dilithium to feed others' habits in light of continuing bad development and customer service decisions. I would hate to sit out the outfits I want so badly but I will not change my mind on this unless Cryptic's behavior changes in a sustained manner.

    The Vaadwaur Escort features and Intel BOFF seat and the Vaadwaur Battlecruiser features a Command BOFF seat. Neat.

    Since other outfits can be placed on the exchange, chances are this outfit can too. And it's gonna be pretty expensive, I imagine... :P

    Lobi costumes cost a lot less lobi than ships. I think 50 Lobi. so maybe 10M?

    If memory serves, when the voth light soldier was new it sold for ~28 million, it eventually stabilized to the 12 - 15 million range with all other lobi outfit boxes.

    Lovin' those costumes and very cool ships. This looks much more interesting than the delta box.
