Server is down. Everything is working as intended.

Had just started a Borg Space STF(Vortex), and had targetted the second group of 2 probes when everything just froze just as I was hitting spacebar to fire on them.
I am having the same issue the launcher will not update just times out and throws the unable to connect error. Wasn't able to play yesterday when I got a chance today its not working TToTT woe is me.
I'm willing to give the guys in technical support a break and let them have their new years though. Take the night off players.. Everyone deserves a new years..
I got a "dynamic patch failure" after being kicked out of a foundry mission first, but that may just have been an artifact of an inability to contact the server.
It *did* let me try to log in (and fail) until I closed the launcher, after which, well, launcher fails to update.
update: I did verify the integrity of the game files (Steam), found 2 bad files and downloaded, no effect. Obviously my connection is up (posting here), did a quick speed test and looks normal. I'm assuming someone pushed the wrong button at the other end.
I crashed out as well and am relieved to see it wasn't just me...."We are the Cryptic. Lower your expectations and we will assimilate your frustration".
Same story here just after I got my computer repaired too. And why does something like this happen every time I am bout to drop money for Zen or just have? Guess Cryptic forgot to feed the hampsters again.

That's exactly what I was thinking when the server crashed. Sad part is that I saw this coming in light years when I saw the "Stability Update for the Holodeck server". Not the first time that has happened and it's getting really old.
Great! Just got home and the launcher doesn't work. Between the ridiculous maintenance yesterday and now this I have been put way behind on my winter epohh schedule. They should extend the event by a day or two or make the epohh missions 20 hours (not 24) to make up for this TRIBBLE.
Having the same issue, I was in the process of tailoring my new character, then I get "Server Not Responding" and now I cannot Connect, Launcher is stuck on "Trying to update the Launcher".
it may arrive, ok.... but it's at least the third time during the event...
i just hope that Perfect World will give us at least three more days of Q's event, cause with holydays and their own crashes, i'd really like to finish my tasks...
