Beam down to New Romulus. Beam back up and ship tray is completely reset. Happens everytime. It has also happened when I beam down to Dyson Command Center then back up to ship.

Since the last patch I have notcied that I am having to frequently having to rechoose my traits. This left me particularly screwed when it happened while loading in to the Borg Disconnected event. It seems a tell tale sign that several but not all of my abilities disappear from my tray. It became more frequent when I swapped to a newly aquired Narcine Aquatic Carrier. Also I have YET to be able to slot a ship trait....

    Veraia Tir'Dunn@SerpentineOne

Flying a Tholian Recluse Carrier (T5-U).

Difficulties: A disappearing tray skill and consistently vanishing On Duty Space DOffs.

    Vanishing Tray Skill:
This focuses on only a single skill: Bio-Molecular Shield Generator. Upon placing it into the power tray, I can change between sector and system space without issue, it will stay. Upon beaming back to ground, and then back to the ship, the power in question will be gone and remains empty as it was before.

    Vanishing On-Duty Space Duty Officers:
This one happens consistently and constantly. Every single time I go between ground to space or space to ground, the On-Duty Space DOffs unequip and leave me with nothing. This happens every single time and is completely reproducible. Ground On Duty officers are not affected, only the Space ones.

Keep in mind that I have not used the load out system at all and have never saved a load out on this ship. Or any of my ships, for that matter.

Further to my post #71, I've tested more ships with this char: Svetlana Makarov@perfectships.

What seems to be happening is that it's trying to restore everything to what it was before I changed anything after DR went live, and rejecting any subsequent changes by flinging those icons off into space, every time I leave the ship to a ground map and come back.

The two Intel ships (which didn't exist before DR), Izumrud (Eclipse) and Calcutta (Guardian) revert the entire tray to what it was when I first beamed up to them before I changed anything.

Retvizan (FT5-U Ambassador) was throwing any icons out of only the two slots I mentioned but is now throwing out all of the icons that relate to any changes I've made since DR. Eg, though I'm using exactly the same BOFF abilities and BOFFs as I had before DR, and in exactly the same place in the tray on this ship, the fact that I've been retraining my Tac BOFFs all day (as I played with other ships) has ended up that those BOFFs have those abilities in a different combination than the specific one that the system remembers from pre-DR, so it rejects just those icons.

And exactly the same thing is happening to my Fleet Galaxy Dread-U (Borodino) too. Everything that I haven't changed at all since before DR is still there just fine every time I jump into the ship.

Needless to say, I can't do any of the new story content [that I paid for by buying the DR pack] until this is sorted: I'm not having a repeat of what happened the last time a char had this bug - ground mission natch:mad:, where you then beam up to your ship that's in the middle of a giant space battle getting shot at, with a freshly scrambled power tray that's useless. Rubbish.

At least before it was a char-ship combo, so you could use a different ship and be okay... not that you should have to - but this seems to be affecting all of this char's ships old and new.

I'm having load out issues on at least 2 characters.
Nissa@orcanden, beaming to the ship (Scryr class) from Earth Space Dock. most of the Boff abilities in the tray are missing along with several non-BOff, console abilities. tried switching bridge officers in the commander slot and noticed the set-up is similar to what I had on my T5 vesta before I switched to the Scryr.

J'Kar@orcanden Rom/KDF on a T6 Aelahl. beam to space from Romulan Command Center. Power tray contains only some of the powers I usually set and many that I do not put in my power tray.

In both cases, the load-out was set for "start" (what I labelled the first load-out I saved for my characters). Re-saving to the load-out has not worked, as it resets to this default when I leave the ground map.

It's especially annoying when it affects those like me who deliberately avoided using the loadout system - it still gets you in the end.

There's obviously a bunch of you still having issues with loadouts. Powers, Boffs and Doffs get changed or unslotted from the reports I'm seeing. We need your help to track this down.

We need characters that consistently experience this issue. Not "most of the time" or "sometimes", but "all of the time" or as close thereto as possible.

If you have such a character, please provide the character's name@handle, and a clear description of what exactly happens with the character, and under what circumstances this is seen.

Any and all changes/updates to arrangement of Skills placed in Trays is OVERWRITTEN upon transfer into Space from Ground. Simply change the placement of 1 Skill in any Tray, transfer from Space to Ground, then transfer right back from Ground to Space, and the movement of the Skill just made in Space will have been reverted as if the action never took place.

Furthermore ... updating Trays to their intended configuration of Skills and then SAVING the Loadout HAS NO EFFECT. Transferring to Ground and then returning to Space restores the WRONG LOADOUT that existed prior to any and all updates and saves.

Additionally, any an all attempts to restore the Saved Loadout with the correct configuration, which the WRONG LOADOUT imposed does *NOT* represent, will result in a message that the current loadout matches the save file ... when it most certainly DOES NOT MATCH the most recently made Save ... with no update occurring.

    /em table flip

    Conclusion:
It is as if beyond a certain number of Save Loadout actions, the Save Loadout feature FAILS TO UPDATE and then just "remembers" the wrong Loadout Configuration from then on ... forever ... because nothing can ever overwrite the record being pulled to fix the problem.

In my case, the Loadout is storing 10 of the 50 Slots in the 5 Trays that I actually use the wrong way consistently. That's a mighty bad average indicating that the fault lies within the Save Loadout Update feature not doing what it's supposed to do (properly), creating a condition where the wrong record keeps getting pulled when transitioning from Ground to Space.

This happens every time I 'zone' on my character Fuze@Spots, when using the Scryer. Other ships seem to be unaffected. There was a post by someone else that seems to 'fix' it, but only in the sense that it you won't have your tray set to an unusable state. It forces the tray to save, and the game will then reload your trays to the saved ones each time you zone. Any changes will be lost if this process isn't done, but once you get it the way you like, you can save it with some fiddling. Here's a requote of the post. It worked for me:
    My fix:

Step 1 - Re-setup ship the way you want, trays, boffs, etc.

Step 2 - Make sure your trays are "unlocked"

    Step 3 - Rename both/all loadout's to "Temp 1" "Temp 2" etc

Step 4 - Save your new setup to both/all loadout's named "Temp 1" "Temp 2" etc

Step 5 - Switch your ship and Test

Step 6 - If successful rename and setup accordingly.

Have done so for Tier-5 existing, Tier-5U and Tier-6 ships. Now all working correctly.

    Hopefully it works for you.

    Cheers.

This just escalated to literally 'game breaking' for me tonight. Since the release of DR, I've noticed that my Aquarius Escort kept getting unslotted in my power tray. A nuisance, to be sure, but I was able to re-slot it into my power tray, until this evening/morning.

Each time the 'unslotting' happened, it seemed to be when to ground and then back up to space. No worries then, as I just re-slotted.

Then, earlier today, I noticed that it unslotted when going into a Borg Red Alert. No problem, I re-slotted.

Then, as the evening progressed, I moved on to my Defera Dailies and noticed that it had unslotted again, after beaming down and back up from Zaria. No go on re-slotting this time. Nothing!

So, I logged out and ran a force-verify. Still couldn't re-slot. I tried swapping my Oddy Chevron (Saucer Seperation) with my Aquarius Escort. And that just drove me over the brink with madness, as that resulted in being unable to slot either ability into my power tray, whilst they're both showing as locked consoles on my Tac Oddy.

Fix this nonsense already, as it's evidently getting worse! No idea how it's getting worse, but it is!

My handle is Methos Corinthian@methos71 and the ship in question is a Tactical Odyssey T5-U.

Fix this please! I'm done with this game until you do!

Problem: When switching from ground to space maps my active space DOFFs are moved back to the general roster.

    - Happens all the time.
    - This char/ship doesn't use any kind of Loadouts.

I'm finding that every time I transition to a ground map all my space doffs are unslotted, this applies to every ground map, however my ground doffs remain unaffected.

Also when transitioning to space maps I find my Engineering Team (Slot C9) is unslotted (I am partly to blame myself here as I changed my boff's ability to run a different ship) I used to think that it was resetting to pre DR but I think it's more recent than that, my evidence being that when I first loaded up my Avenger my tray lvl 4 (Shift number by default) was as follows:

Empty, Empty, TT, Empty, APB, FAW, FAW, APB, EPtW, TT

Now it looks like this when I switch to the ship:
TT, Empty, APB, FAW, WSE (Aura), SM (Aura), FAW, APB, EPtW, TT

So it seems to be resetting to a more recent (that DR) layout, this theory is further supported by the fact on my Excelsior my Nimbus support has been saved to slot A3 replacing my Aux2Damp, however it is still resident in S9 where I keep having to slot my Rock and Roll, my hope is that eventually this will also save correctly.

I have a layout that seems to be working correctly for my Faeht, but the one for my Aelahl isn't saving my Tray Layouts, specifically the slotting of my abilities in specific slots in the tray. It does seem it will maintain the tray as long as I am logged in and doing space missions, but should I log out, switch characters, enter any ground map, or switch ships, then the next time I enter space my tray layout reverts to some state that I would never have set it at. But it is always the same layout it reverts too, like that is the saved layout, and for some reason it won't save the new layout over it.

When it reverts to the other state, it also seems that all of my BOFF Space Tac abilities are never present on the bar.

    Steps taken:

Saved full loadout on every ship I fly on a regular basis
    Locked tray

    Effects that occur:
Tray skills shotgunned around or flat out missing
Devices and/or Modules that are part of the loadout shucked to inventory

    Steps to reproduce:
Enter system space, >90% reliability of being broken now that DR has gone active.
Swap ships, >75% reliability something's fubar

Steps taken to try to fix, that don't work:

Reloading loadout in system space. Doesn't reassign placement even when unlocked tray, also doesn't replace any modules/devices that should be there.

Steps taken that SOMETIMES fix it, but unreliably:

Hitting U to pull up ship/inventory screen, tabbing over to officers. On initial load, there's usually a couple Boff slots that flat out don't exist, and then after a half second will populate and then it's like popcorn in my trays for skills showing back up. That trick has a 20% chance or so to "fix things" as far as Boff skills are concerned, after a ship change.

Feel free to contact me as necessary. I'm pretty much reliably on 1PM-1AM PST thereabouts, but am totally available for whatever's convenient to assist the bughunt. I have some QA experience and if you can provide a better script of what you want directly tried, I'll more than happily do it considering I have a "vested interest" at this point with the game.

One such example, although this was a low end hiccup compared to what usually happens (3/4 of the trays being jacked up):

    Saved configuration
    Post system entry
    Post Re-application of loadout

My husband has the issue every time he leaves an Episode instance. He completes the mission, exits (or beams to ship), gets back to sector space, and his loadout/tray bars are all screwed up. The one time he did NOT complete the mission due to a Kazon ship deciding to hide in the middle of an asteroid, it did not glitch when he left to sector space.

    It's very consistent.

Apologises for posting here but I don't have permission to create my own thread yet (very annoying).

I've got a server side issue that effects the officer training window. It's consistently either totally blank or the skills appear but the selection areas are greyed, no energy costs appear and none of the buttons work. I've tried dismissing officers and recruiting new ones all to no avail.

I can confirm this has been ongoing since last week, its not a client issue as the same issue is present on the same character using a different computer. Other characters on the account dont have the issue.

The only other info i can provide is that occasionally when i first log on and open the training window it flickers for a second.

    Happens on Alliason@guilli88

I lose anything I put on my abilities bar that have been changed/added after DR. Anything that was there before remains unchanged. The bar loses those abilities after I change from ground to space zone.

    This happens every single time.

having to reset more than half of skill tray over and over and over is SO ANNOYING that I'm practically just playing the "doffs game"... :(

    New problem, possibly related - seems to be the same one that ceekayzero is experiencing;

    Character; Wh'chita@turbomagnus
(Male Orion KDF Science, Lieutenant General 52)
Ship: Tier 5 (standard) Marauder Flight Deck Cruiser with one loadout.
Problem: At every map transition, the game is now un-equipping active Space DOffs.

    Reproduction Steps:
I have a Blue Projectile Weapons Officer (reduce torpedo recharge), two Purple Flight Deck Officers (one Increase accuracy in Intercept Mode and the other Reduce hanger bay recharge), a white Astrometics Scientist (Additional R&D Materials) and a Blue Photonic Studies Scientist (Reduce recharge of Photonic Abilities) equipped as part of loadout "Shadow One".
Upon transitioning between ground and space maps (Otha III ground map from Foundry mission "Vulture Wheel" and Zaria ground map from "Emancipation" Daily confirmed), the game deactivates my active Space DOffs and moves them to the reserve roster, leaving none equipped.
Nothing else is affected; no ship equipment, captain abilities or Active Ground DOffs, but the game does register this as loadout "Shadow One" being unequipped.
Re-selecting loadout "Shadow One" returns the aforementioned Space DOffs to Active status.
At the next transition from ground to space or space to ground, the Active Space DOffs are again removed from Active status by the game.
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"

I think this thread should be stickied and renamed so that it is clear that the bug affects more than just loadouts. People who have never used loadouts are also experiencing problems with unslotting abilities, equipment, bridge officers, and duty officers. New and returning players may not even know what loadouts are. Some people are also experiencing problems with the ground tray as well as the space tray. There may in fact be several related issues.

Here are two new related threads:

After setting loadout, boffs and tray and saving them, I constantly (every single time I dock somewhere or beam down somewhere) lose all my config as I beam up again on my new Guardian Cruiser.
For "lose all my config" I mean I find my tray as much as it was when i bought the ship and made it ready to play.
