Fortunately it can never happen, as Cryptic could be sued for stealing the idea...
I'm fairly sure anything posted on these forums becomes the property of Cryptic/PWE from an intellectual property standpoint. Not to mention that marriage game mechanics are in several other games, and it's not like Cryptic hasn't blatantly stolen game mechanic ideas off of other games before.
Namely Gozer saying he took the respawn timer addition directly from his time playing TOR.
Umm, if you look carefully at my suggestion, there's nothing stopping 'marriages' of up to 20 people, of any race or gender, so long as they all have aquired the 1st place title and are team together at the time of feeding the flowers.
Players may claim the 'Bonded' trait more than once. It will only appear in their trait pool once, but it's effect will 'stack' for every person that 'shared' it with them.
Also, i'm well aware of the difference between zhen, shen, chan and than. I'm a midwife for goodness sake!

Also... gorillachops might get credit and some kind of special reward if they did adopt it. Kinda like the PvP Bootcamp guys got special titles.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Honestly, just the addition of someone's idea into the game is awesome. I've given plenty of feedback that was later implemented into the game, and that in itself is a reward.

Nope... dosen't work like that...
Look up Taco-bell dog...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

If it didn't cost me a foundry slot, I would be tempted to build a wedding chapel in the Foundry and a rp mission for you people that want to get married. You could only share the mission with 3 people though.

You could make it like how it is in the movies and have an emergency wedding where all you need are 3 witnesses. Kind of like in Independance Day.
*Sigh* (that was a "Taco bell case" search on google... first result btw).
Pay close attention to the last paragraph in the "History" section.
Thats the short version story, but the background was EXACTLY the same as here...
As I said... Dosen't work like that... Most US states (apparently) don't recognize EULA and TOS'es as fully legally binding contracts.
They should... But it dosen't work like that. No matter how much you wan't it to.
So it was not directly relevant to PWE and the Forums. The men did not pitch the idea of the Taco Bell dog to Taco Bell through their own forums (which Taco Bell or Yum! Brands would have owned).
So no, it isn't even close to the exact same thing. What we post here is the property of PWE. We agreed to it when we accepted the EULA.
If I'm on the forums and say it would be cool to have a purple sky with clouds made of rocky road ice cream, and Tacofangs creates a purple skybox with rocky road ice cream clouds -- I have absolutely no legal standing against PWE/Cryptic because my idea was pitched on their own forums, which they own, and which I agreed everything I post becomes property of PWE.
I was thinking of making one big map with 4 different spots. 1 has an npc who looks like Elvis and a chapel o love. A different spot would on a pier in a small pond. I guess I could work in Judy somehow.

Too bad you can't force NPCs to carry Pulsewave Assaults, then you could have a shotgun wedding.
When something is posted on a public forum, as a suggestion to be used by the owner, there's no expectation to maintain any rights to the content of the post. If you give someone a dollar, and don't tell them you expect to be repaid, you can't tell them after it's spent.
Taco Bell dog: these guys, who pitch marketing campaigns for a living and expect to get paid for it, had a contract defining ownership, use, or transfer.
Here: we have someone saying "this would be cool!" with no caveat regarding a reward.
Re: actual topic:
If you want cross-faction teaming it would be better to suggest cross-faction teaming.
If there are usable advantages to marriage then people will just get married for those advantages. (Every game I've played with marriage, I did it as a cheaper alternative to faction property and/or storage.) You can't make the system too crazy because there's mechanics to balance.
If it's nothing more than some kind of status field "K'mpec is married to Khalest" then people will complain about the system not being inclusive/flexible/complex enough (Bolian co-husbands as an example). Meaning it'd be better for role-players to just do what they want than to make a system that can't meet their needs.
I see marriage as a story-telling element, and when it comes to story-telling the game should get out of the way and be as invisible as possible.
Come to think of it, I've already paritially built a Risa resort map complete with a hotel room and a nice spot for a wedding ceremony, but I ran out of an idea for the mission. Anyone want to get married (to somebody else) and spend a honeymoon here? I need to update it with new assets like carpets and floors, so it's not finished yet.

No, lol. It's just a roleplay map so far. I was originally planning on trying to do something plotwise to coincide with the summer events, but then I kind of lost motivation when swimwear was confined to risa. I hear it does work in Foundry now, but not sure if it will on that map.

Well, I can run through it when you're done. If I can do it with Three in her horribly-colored swimsuit, that will be PERFECT.

SWG had a marriage system but nothing this advanced....if they did add something like this I be personally interested to see how sto does it

I did. I'm not seeing anything other than youtube videos. What's the relevance, and is this something that directly happened with PWE and the forums?

Marketing consulting can involve agreements defining the ownership of a pitch. In fact, following the source from Wikipedia, URL="http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Michigan+Creators+Awarded+$30.1+Million+in+Lawsuit+over+Ownership+of...-a0102768736"]this article[/URL specifically states that the creators of the Taco Bell chihuahua pitch sued for breach of contract.

Sorry, I'd show more pics, but foundry is down
The resort includes the following:
A deluxe private suite with a large bed, furniture, candles, etc.
A steamy sauna with massage table
A hot tub
A bar with a dancing stage and a poll
Poker, pool table, dabo, etc
Outdoor and indoor restaurants
A long pier
Places for nature hikes
A volleyball net
A dance floor
A sailing ship
No parisses squares court/field/arena?
hmmm... I'll see what I can do.
Make sure it's just like how it was portrayed in canon.
I'll have to build it out of barrels, probably.
There's a ramp too!
I absolutely must play that mission when you're done with it.
What's the title?
Right now it's just called "Risa Private Resort." I guess I could retitle it "Risa Private Resort Chapel o' Love and Honeymoon Getaway."
Any plot to it? Mystery? Suspense?
like this is any different in most cases of real marriage... <.<
