Oh, dear. (Whiny, Anakrap voice) What have I done?!

Star Wars doesn't suck - except the prequels, which a Black Hole looks at and says, "Wow, they really suck."

The game does, but the original trilogy doesn't. So leave it alone.

Ex-cuse me? Jedi Knight was awesome! Oh wait, you're talking about TOR. Carry on.

just to let you into something about the whole hating star wars and star trek, well when you get a chance why don't you go look into who copied who as in the creation dates of each fanchise. Honestly I love both because if you look at both star wars and star trek they both have their own amazing stories and they both even have many books and movies and even comics. Why do anyone have to discriminate to either world of star wars or star trek. Just because someone may have copied or what ever, who cares! You are childish if you hate one or the other. You should appreciate both and see them for how much time, effot, and work went into those worlds. "If you judge others than you judge yourself and your beliefs."

I don't think anyone does really some people just like to create a manichean dialogue between the two in order to foster some kind of conflict laden debate or flame war.

Most fans of sci-fi probably enjoy both, as for provenance they are both inheritors of culture in the Cold War era and the exploration of space that it was coupled with.

No. Unless they're free on my Amazon Prime, I'm not likely to see them. :( I do like Nathan Fillion and will watch Castle if I can do so from the beginning.

Well if you enjoy a good whodunit murder mystery series then I'd say pick up Castle if possible.

As far as I can work out "The Force" is actually a form of energy communism.

all life breeds energy that powers the force, it's just that some life is able to channel and manipulate that energy. "The Force" itself has no sentience and thus if it has power it has no concious ability to use that power.

    I've been looking at http://www.starwarsattacksquadrons.com/

If it's anything like X-Wing or Tie Fighter I'm in :D

lol star wars still sucks. use the force...make things float around lmao ...ya, no.

Last June I got into an automobile collision. The particulars of how it occurred is irrelevent.

When you get behind the wheel of a vehicle, there is an inherent risk of injury/damage that just goes with driving. I pay insurance, registration and all the other costs associated with being allowed (entitled, if you will) to drive my vehicle, but nevertheless disaster can, and on occasion, will happen.

If you want to draw inferences on my life or motives because you disagree with my perspective then that's fine, I just wanted to once more try to illustrate that, despite what you might think your dollar entitles you to, you can't always get what you want (Rolling Stones, anyone?).[/QUO

I may not always be able to get what I want, but I need my STO now

Not if your car's body panels are made of titanium and has a powerful electric current constantly flowing through said titanium body panels.

Maintance everyday and still server's going down for no reason, ingame support takes about 2 week's to get a standart responce? Is this the best Support NA? Even use my money as toilet paper is a better investment then putting any Money in this Game. Vote for crapiest Game Support in History. I like this Game but the Comapny who own's this Game is a bunch of money begging jew's.

not sure what game your playing but there is not everyday maintenance. and incase you didn't notice there was no schedule maintenance this week so that might have something to do with this outage.

To be honest some parts of the game are still very much beta, there are bugs that have existed for a long time and finally yes they should invest in hardware redundancy if this has happened 3 times in the past year it should really be something they sort out.

Well I mean there was two outages since January.

I'm not actually complaining as I can keep myself occupied until whenever it comes out but meh.

Star Wars Episode 1 is comparable in quality to Star Trek TMP.

I don't see a point that you are trying to make when you go off and slam other franchises such as star wars. I had this dicussion with others and why not be a better person and respect the accomplishments of the franchise and give respect for their efforts.

Star Trek and Star Wars are both great in their own way. So is Lord of the Rings for that matter. I've never understood fandom's proclivity toward saying, in essense, 'in order for the thing I like to be respected properly, the thing that you like has to be torn down.'

I will say that I think that the new Star Trek movies are a bit of a mistake in my opinion. Star Trek has always been at its best in the television medium. Star Trek is best experienced when its fans have the opportunity to have the characters be a part of their lives on a weekly basis and that's where the type of storytelling that typifies Star Trek thrives. Star Wars, on the other hand, has always been at its best as an exterior phenomenon. You might admire Luke Skywalker and Yoda and Han Solo and so forth, but you never really feel like any of them are a regular part of your life. Star Wars exists as spectacle and that's probably where it finds its stride.

    That's my two cents anyway.

In case anyone does not follow the main website, the problem here is a Network outage, not a server outage, and it is affecting several of PWE's games. Cogent is at it again.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
