I have to say, I have scoured this thread from end to end.... amazingly talented posts all over the place! Well done winners in the top 1000....

Which means I am slowly being overtaken and must work incredibly hard to top some of the awesome posts seen in the past few next 1000... *sighs* not even an honorable mention this time! lol ...

Wait... What?... Say it isn't so... I, (err, The Producer's) MUST have missed something.
Perhaps there were some pages stuck together?

Wait, what's this? (Something at the bottom of Santa's bag)?...

Seems you and txspartan better make room on the mantle for....

The Most Persistently Amusing Persistent Officers of the First 2000 Post Award!

    Congratulations! Well Deserved!

(And sorry for the delay, there must have been a bug in our tally system...
I'm told it should be fixed by next Thursday?).

very nice catch!!!!! I was beating my brains out trying to figure that one and an earlier one out... any guesses on it... its typed in yellow not sure from who...lol

I was wondering about that one too. It looks like a contender, if I can just figure it out.

    ANNOUNCEMENT:

some of you may be aware that halfpint71ky and myself have been collecting data.

we arent going to publish this yet, however.

we have chronologically added your @handles to the list and known system specs with your error codes

    for example

    @johnj79
he was 226th person in the thread
    error id #25941731
    from austria,
    intarestingly his "transwarp" is "hyperwarp"
    running Dx9
    3.2GHZ processor
    3GB RAM
    NVIDIA graphics card

we have also dated and recorded events
    for example,

    11/12/2013 branflakes reports tracking numbers

on the first day before noon
    # 76 bombadier22 cracks first forum joke

williamchandler #1103 "Leper" first seen 11-17-2013

the idea behind this, is to use it as an index and also so everyone hear can keep track of "persistent officers" for reunions and suchlike.

the index isnt ready yet, the data isnt ready for publishing yet, halfpint is doing the complicated stuff
    (asleep at the mo)

but for now if you want to know anything please ask.

also if you want a proper Borg designation we will create one from your data.

    for example
    "I am not a number, I'm a man... oh, wait, I'm number 18897741!"

    hear is your Borg designation

    The Borg wrote: »
38 of 58 septenary compliment of sector 41 sub category, 149 of 282
(one four nine of two eight two)
    pronounced

and any "watchers" who havnt posted yet, and want to be on the "persistent officer" list

now is the time to post and be recognised (requires error code)

Those that have got onto tribble with the torn graphics issues,
(I know some have already tried adjusting advanced video options),
but for others this may still help.
I have found that the "postprocessing" option seemed to be a key factor in my setup.
When I set to off I get rips, turn it on and they go away.
I'm sure these (settings) will vary from card to card,
but it seems to work with my nvidia gt-630.

This player is nestled, all snug in his bed. While visions of STO danced in his head.
Hoping today's patch gets this Fleet Admiral/LTS playing.
Best of luck to ALL of us!

uuuuggghhhhh Just woke up. I was dreaming my ship had a massive computer crash, right as the Cardassians attacked. Me and my crew were trapped in a Tin can, waiting for either boarding parties or the ship to explode!

Well, I have errands I have to run today, so I'll be away during the maintenance; when I get back and patch up, either I'll rejoice for being back in the game...

or the Cryptic loading screen will reach 75% completion, whereupon the game will crash to the desktop and the Error Handler will ask what I was doing at the time...

And I shall do my Admiral Kirk in the Genesis Cave impression.
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...

Just watch. The patch gets applied, the launcher loads and it gets replaced by a warning from Q that says "Borg Declares Blood Feud Against PWE Devs: Join the Revolution". LOLS

Think i'm losing track of how many days we have missed out on...

But crossing fingers for this patch to make all happy, even if we have bugs in game. As long as were all in game, that is a door open to 80% of people hanging in forums :) if not more.

"To be or not to be...
