I thought I knew more than most about PvP damage. Boy was I humbled. DPS 11k crew in the queues over the weekend was a real breathe of fresh air.

Never have I experienced so much raw damage from any group of players. They were tearing our shields off and melting hulls.

Welcome to PvP guys :)

Yes, i did some arenas with them. They have a lot of dps, really :D
I think they need to improve the teamwork, but it's only because they are "new" to PvP. At least they brought a bit of "innovation" in the queues ;)

Working on that already with them mate.

Forget innovation, they brought a sledge hammer to the PvP community and shattered a few things. Always good when a major change occurs overnight.

So does this mean the top level PvE players can finally get some respect for getting these silly high damage numbers and not immediately dismissed by at least some of the PvP community as bumbling idiots who don't even use hazard emitters?

To clarify I am not meaning anyone in this thread. Naz has afforded respect to anyone based on their proposals regardless of which aspect of the game they play =)

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.
A master with a stone is better than a novice with a sword.

Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.

So what's new about their builds? Are they just using Dental's builds?

Arrogant to think that anybody outside of the PvP community knows nothing. Even the strangest ideas can lead to something insanely awesome for PvP.

    Thanks anyway bud.

Maybe if you shut your mouth more and open your ears you would learn more. I'm glad you learnt something from a pveer that there's other ways to kill then your double tap exploit.I hope you weren't in the public q stomping pugs again.

As someone said before: I smell chicken........

We've been killing well before the double tap. Just guys like you don't last long enough to see it. Then start crying. :)

You make me smile though with your outstanding humour. Still no to the cheese challenge?

Is there anything you bring to threads apart from inflamatory and derrogatory behaviour?? Seems you love being reported

Still no explanation on how your op cheese team got spanked by pugs. You proved my point when you loaded up the best PvP fleet with multiple copies of items and abilities that you claim are cheese and I win buttons to prove to the world what the best PvP fleet in the game could do with these evil toys. What did you prove you proved all the bs you have been spreading was exactly that bs. You proved that these abilities can't even help the best PvP team in the game beat pugs. Can you explain this to your flock please.

And again... keep repeating the same thing without engaging what's between your ears..

Please point out the relevance and meaningful contribution to this thread??? or do you love trolling and being inflammatory

If the cheese wasn't bs why are people complaining about them then??? Why in fact have people been complaining about them long before what happened last few days???

You mind if I ask how they were able to do this?

They are completely geared towards pumping out as much raw consistent suppression damage as possible with 1 or 2 players tuned towards focus fire.

Absolutely amazing it was watching them.

I call BS, just another attempt of known factors to discredit the game and gain undue influence with the devs.

DPS being king, has clearly been dismissed based on extensive datamining (in social zones) by the lead content designer of cryptic.

The same goes for supposed cheese and broken powers. There is no such thing.

Now all go in your eng/cruisers and rejoice by opening lockboxes in the name of the mighty Geko.

So basically constant alphas combined with control, or just pure damage builds like you see in ESTFs? Were they doing this with cannon or beam builds?

Novalous I'm sorry that SOB is mostly dead these days. I'm sorry that you have lost repeatedly over the last year. Why don't you give up your jealousy? It's not like everyone doesn't already know who you are and how pathetic you are.

Their control was their constant damage like in the ESTF's. They had no sci's in the group.

It was the surprise of real high dps from the get go that shocked us.

Just ask about DPS 11000 and you'll soon come across them. These are the guys that rip through stf's in minutes.

Oh, that kind of damage. Yeah, a lot of the elite PvE fleets have their ships geared towards insane levels of damage output. They don't do a lot of cross-healing or team stuff, but by god can they put out numbers.

I flew with a few of them a day or two ago. They burned through a CSE in less than 4 minutes. It would have been faster, but there was flying involved and we had to wait for the carrier to spawn.

Agreed, I came across them a few days, oblivious to who they are. OMG, stormed CSE in less than 5 mins, I'm like wtf, there's me pew pew the nanite balls and they've already cleared two borg cubes while i was still on my first section lolz

Ahh, those a2b builds rip **** up in STFs.

I've parsed those beam builds with beta, they own hard in STFs.

Thank drunk for that damage. :D

dismissal of the truth is just that DPS is king period, the devs know the players know it, PVP is for people with unlimited funds, mommies credit card or WAYYY too much time on their hands (30 hour per week plus players) the rest of us dont PVP so that flying other ship types with other chars (not tactical officers in escorts) for FUN what an idea.. fun in a game... DPS is the center of this game, star trek is a side note mini game the devs sold down the river at launch.
