quick question... the neverwinter and startrek online servers aren't interlinked are they?

It is pretty obvious that they share the same server network because if STO server goes down Neverwinter is down at the exact same time.

So obviously Perfect World is not really all that perfect because they cheaped out and put too much on one server network for it to work properly.

Hey PWE, brilliant marketing idea here: seeing how Neverwinter and Star Trek Online are on the same server and how amazing that works you should consider a merge. Call it... Never Online!

Where are all the posts going?

Redundant posts/threads are merged with existing ones on the same topic.

Can we have an official statement about WHY the servers keep going down? Hardware failure? software failure? power faillure?

dont hold your breath.. really dont. They have said neverwinter and sto arent on the same server, which to me is full of cow dung *looks at flakes*, fact when neverwinter goes down so does sto. There going to keep doing maintenance on this issue till their blue in the face. So dont get your hopes up for a smooth LoR release.

its due to to many people logging in and using sto
That might cause the GAME to crash, but not a network drop-out (their website included).

You will NOT get any compensation and ranting like a child on a forum does nothing either. Stop with all the drama and wait,

this is getting f****** ridiculous. For people paying for this service, I including, should be compensated for all these outages. It is not unheard of nor unexpected that a company do such a thing. PWE has really done nothing for the player base besides saying thanks for understanding BUT if you have read the forums you would know NONE of us are happy about this and we are NOT understanding nor should we be expected to. We are paying customers!

You really expect a Chinese company to compensate you for outages?

I have been debating buying some more Zen but the recent bugginess of the game has made the decision much easier.

I will not invest any more real money in an unstable game.

They might not be on the same server, but they'll be on the same network.

It might be worth Cryptic getting two ISPs - one for the websites, and another for the games.

there was a queue on tribble earlier in the day. as for that info, i wasnt expecting it to be merged on general, i was expressing that on tribble during its move. didnt want to upset anyone else with the storyline, but too late now...
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.

Not only that but the Neverwinter Zone chat tends to bleed through to STO zone during high traffic times.

They have an upper limit. If the games are full, you don't login. You wait in a queue. So if that is the case, they need to lower the number allowed on at once (across 3 games it seems) and that will really make everyone happy. Hey, at least a subscribed day still counts when the server is out. :-P
Wow. There is a new KDF Science ship. I'll be!
