I'm as angry as you with this server going down so often...

I just walked in from work and it says the login server is down or my internet connection isnt working, But obviously it is working im posting on this forum WTH.
It is pretty obvious that they share the same server network because if STO server goes down Neverwinter is down at the exact same time.
So obviously Perfect World is not really all that perfect because they cheaped out and put too much on one server network for it to work properly.
In case you didn't notice, when the logon server goes **** up, you're booted...even if the server hosting the game is still working normally. So no, they are not on the same server. What they should think about doing is reducing the load on the logon servers, and there are many ways of accomplishing that.
In any event, it's SNAFU for Cryptic post PWE takeover. If you dont know that old acronym, it's worth looking it up.
All this Nerd Rage is freaking hilarious. . . ."Off with their heads" . . . . "Cryptic sucks". . . . "They should give us compensation" . . . . bwahahahah. Really guys, really? If this game means that much to you to then it's time to re-evaluate priorities in your life--it's only a game.
It may be a game, but its a PAID for service. Those of us who pay for a service, expect a good product. A well supported product.
If the infrastructure is so shared and unreliable, then its time to upgrade. Plain and simple.
When your service becomes unreliable, you loose customers, again, plain and simple.
I was wondering... "What do you think should be done about all this downtime?"
For me, maybe some Zen would help, especially since it's the last day of my vacation
Any Trek nerd should understand that the magical transgenic tribble that will fix everything WON'T be installed until Tuesday. It's just the Trek way.
The crashing is due to they want picard to redact his comment about currencies don't exist in the future instead they want to replace that scene with picard giving GPL to a ferrengi officer and attempt to bribe the borg. The borg agree that the amount paid will get them to tuesday before they want more GPL.
Not sure if the support team is simply suffering from extreme overconfidence or outright incompetence, but there's no way they should still have their jobs after the last 3 weeks.
Branflakes posted about ten minutes ago to say that everything Cryptic owns just went bye-bye, and "techs are looking into it" (translation: techs are fighting their way through Silicon Valley traffic to get back into the office on their day off).
Reading is FUN-damental!
And website still says everything nice...
Server up...
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
Well.... maybe, cryptic should make a phonecall, and complain REALLY bad ...
I know, this next bit is from 2009, but still..... hmmmm
Hi everyone!
This is really amazing! We have hit the limit of how many players we can fit on the server right now!
This is one of those times where we're both sad, and glad. On the one side, you all enjoy the game so much, we can't squeeze anyone else on to the server. (I can't log in right now either! )
On the other side, we really want to let you all on the server! So, here's what we're working on:
1) We're increasing server capacity. We have new machines coming in to add to the server, and we've put a rush order on them. We're going to bring them online as soon as we can.
2) We're working on software solutions as well. Our development team is working night and day to be able to get as much power as we can from each machine, and we're focusing on increasing capacity, and server stability.
For now, all we can say is, please keep trying. We know it's frustrating. Please keep trying though. You never know when you might be able to get in!
Thank you for your patience, thank you for your support, and thank you for your interest in Star Trek Online!
1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain.
2. In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes.
3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
4. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted.
Ever since they added the new game neverwinter to the same server star trek online is on. thing was bad before. since neverwinter it been HORRIBLE!! best part someone will still try to defend cryptic. But it seem like cryptic has forgot the star trek online community. this is like there 5th crash in 10 days. way to go cryptic

servers failing, we`re fked anyway
Senior management would be sending BBM's back and forth. "Was this what you warned us about" "I don't care - fix it"
Middle management and IT teams: "Another %$#ing lost weekend" "we told you so" "we warned you"
Senior management: "Nah-ah! You didn't say it would be this bad."
IT Manager muttering: *we told them. we warned them. they ignored us and cut the infrastructure budget*
Customers: "Why is the store closed on a Saturday - don't they realize I work all week to make money to give to them on Saturday"
