There seems to be a connection to the fleet starbase. I keep getitng DCed when I am there, and when I log back in, it keeps DCing me when I try to load it.

I keep getting kicked off every few minutes. Logging back in is also sometimes takes awhile, with the launcher sometimes not even loading if I try completely closing the game. I've been at Quark's or in PvP each time.

As far as our end, everything looks back to normal.

I keep disconnecting from STO for no reason.

When logging in, the launcher has problems.

If I manage to get logged in, I can barely do anything before I get a message "Server Not Responding".

    Then I get disconnected again.

Listen to what I'm saying, don't ignore it.

    Hi Captains,

Thanks for the reports. Based on what we can see with the network and server, all appears well, however, it seems that a few of you are experiencing some disruption. So that our engineers can get more information, please reply and post your location, ISP provider and a tracert result pointing to: patchserver.crypticstudios.com

Instructions for running a tracert: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=225155

    I'll pass these along. Thanks!

I'm also having this problem, I"ve followed all the steps, and I"m on Comcast.

Clearly, with the alarming volume of repeated disconnects, something larger is happening here. Hey devs, can you please look into this ASAP?

I posted right above the last post, and the volume is actually very, very small, as seen from the posts tonight in this thread (and this thread was first made on the 5th when there was a network incident). If this was widespread, we would be able to see something noticeable on our end and there would be many more threads and posts.

Thanks for the super fast response! I'll take a look again, and I'll try this at someone else's house to see if there's a difference...I'm getting booted every ten seconds now though, it's bizarre and very frustrating.

I'll also revisit the steps again, and post if I find any amazing breakthroughs.

This is TRIBBLE. When I can play COD for 1.5 hours while my kids stream Netflix without buffering or lag, and then log onto STO and get lag booted out of Ker'rat there is a problem and it is not on my end. I have had no issues with any websites, streaming video service, or other games (COD, DCU, World of Tanks). The problem lies either with your TRIBBLE servers or whoever you use as gateways. Fix this!

This was immediately after I had a big freeze and the launcher wouldn't load after I closed it.

However it is sporatic so I don't know how useful it will be. I'll get kicked 3 or 4 times in 15m and frozen out of the launcher. I come back and can play find for a few hours, then it starts in again. It isn't just after a few hours play, sometimes its immediately after logging in or sometimes I am fine all night. It isn't just me, many people in my fleet have the same sporatic dcing. I can see people on my friends list with the issue with constant dcs/reconnects. It isn't a game breaker for most, but it is quite irriating losing STFs and other FM/Rommy marks missions because of a dc. It all started with the Aniversery patch.

Just an FYI to DEVs that the server is bugged as ever. I believe they were looking into some solutions but IMO don't see that much difference. No whinning or complaining just stating a fact.
Since 3 years when this game launched there hasn't been done much to expand server capability. We have seen the same server problems that either put players in backlogs of un-ending queues or just throwing players constantly out of gameplay. I know it's not my connection since I have fiber connection with 30Mbps speed. In less than 1 hr this morning (1am-2am PST) I was thrown out 4 times already out of the server and I know this keeps happening to a lot of people:

    http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=533501&highlight=server
    http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=491191&highlight=server
    http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=487211&highlight=server

Just a few of the many server issues players having in a timespan of 2 weeks....

It's a bit naive to think STO will get a whole lot more of new players such as F2P offered with the same server infrastructure of 3 yrs ago and same OLD issues that keep coming time after in the forums and tech support tickets...it's like having dialup for internet connection...so old fashion and antiquated technology.
I hope someone it's looking for solutions specially as in the future (season 8 or expansion) STO is planning to bring more players and at the same time hopefully BETTER solutions to reduce any bottlenecks.

    Thanks

So you know, I got kicked multiple times last night around 11PM Midnight Central time, just like last night. Managed to get back on by switching from the main to the proxy server, unfortunately I did not run a trace at that time, so I don't have that info. In Texas, on comcast, and when I do run traces they always go through atlas.cogentco.com

I finally gave up last night after having been kicked out 9 times in 15 minutes, with the very same problems you have experienced. I don't know what to do about it, except what i always do...wait until the Devs fix the stability issues, however long that will take. But first they will have to recognize the problem and not blame it on our internet connections.

It's definitely not my net connection. Not when I'm able to download video at 2000+ Kb/second. And not when the tracert dies on their server.

It was working fine for me around 1 AM last night, though.

I'd play for 2 hours now, without problems.
    Great :)

Last night I was kicked after 40mn, better than the 10mn of the past 3 days.
So, I hope it is fixed, and, please, pass a BIG Thx to teams working on this problem.

In case it's persistant for others, my tracert is good and indicates 5 cogentco bounds.

Still getting the same problems. And blaming the player pc or internet connection when it clearly isn't demonstrates to me a bit of ostrich syndrome. I play Champions Online and STO fanatically, have been on Champs for 3 years and STO for a little over a year and love the games. But this situation and how it is being responded to is putting quite the sour taste in my mouth. THERE IS A PROBLEM. IT IS NOT ME OR MY EQUIPMENT. And reading BranFlakes response did not help me feel any better about it. To paraphrase; "it's not really a problem or we would see more complaints." So, we should flood the forums with complaint threads and posts while waiting for action to allow us to log into the game we obviously like and care about? The situation is bad enough, the response is making it worse to me.

Amen. I played with no problems last night on the same computer and same connection. I can stream Netflix, download at 26 Mbps a second. So yeah, it'a gotta be everyone that's complaining all around the world. It can't be the game itself.

Ok, like i wrote before, I was able to play for 2 hours, then I've been disconnected.

Now I can't stay logged, kicked after 1 min max each try.

Like many others in this thread, I DO NOT have issues with other online games or internet services... And I whish next response will not be like "Hey guys it's fine in our side, keep trying, cheers and banana."

So... I keep trying. (For a while...)
