Looks like they changed peering points and the BGP to whatever they use internally (likely EIGRP) is not configured right.
As for the whining... come on all can you not see what they are doing? they are trying to fix/keep the game running. If you expect flawless performance you are not that grounded in reality. If you expect it of others try expecting it of yourself for a day and see how you do.

I am constantly getting a little window in the upper left of my screen that says:
"Trying to connect to the update server. Please be patient. Tried connecting 2 times."
I have power-cycled on the off chance it was my internet connection, and then tried loading Champions with the same issue.
After that, I get the following:
"Unable to establish a connection to Patch Server. Please check your Internet connection." (which I have done) "If problems persist, please contact Technical Support."
This has been happening ever since maintenance was completed.

its nearly 40 mins after maintenance finished and the launcher still isn't working, no offence but this is redicoulous couldn't you do these tests at another maintanence because people just want to get on to do sto's 3rd year anniversay event...
I started playing two weeks ago, became hooked, purchased my first pack of masterkeys and suddenly, as of Monday, the game just won't launched reliably. Mo, Tue down, Wednesday ok, today it's down again. I really liked the game after two weeks and I was even in a mood of getting subscription or zen for some goodies, but not now, not after what I saw this week.

Looks like they changed peering points and the BGP to whatever they use internally (likely EIGRP) is not configured right.
As for the whining... come on all can you not see what they are doing? they are trying to fix/keep the game running. If you expect flawless performance you are not that grounded in reality. If you expect it of others try expecting it of yourself for a day and see how you do.

I have power-cycled on the off chance it was my internet connection, and then tried loading Champions with the same issue.
After that, I get the following:
"Unable to establish a connection to Patch Server. Please check your Internet connection." (which I have done) "If problems persist, please contact Technical Support."
This has been happening ever since maintenance was completed.
I was wondering also why everyone was showing there IP's, makes no since to me why people would want to expose themselves for potential problems
