    because ping uses port 80 and the launcher uses a different one

    Get lost! went through this TRIBBLE 2 nights ago when you screwed up the server then you blamed our isps for you error, then you had the over sized balls to do it on purpose last night,

    no i wont do a trace im not working for you for nothing, get a decent tech to do it for you!
    They used to say if an infinite number of chimps typed we would get the works of Shakespeare, the internet has proved this is NOT the case...

    well its way past the end of the patching time that cryptic did give up.
    And still get teh error message that i cant connect to the patching server.
    Any news about how long it will still take to finish those tests????

    STO news/main page states

    "Maintenance has been extended. Please check forums for more information."


    Notice there is no time given, thus:

    1. They have no idea how long it will take to fix this issue.
    2. They do not know what might be the cause of the problem.
    3. They haven't the foggiest idea how to rectify the problem.

    They took the servers down for testing yesterday for several hours so they've had plenty of time, I think it's understandable that people are getting a little annoyed when they're now almost an hour over their deadline. If they needed three hours, they should have said three hours.

    The launcher open but after a few seconds stop the loading and the only thing I see is the common Internet Explorer error about "unable to show the webpage"
