    I am getting stuck at Trying to update launcher. My trick that always works isnt now, this is bad

    Launcher window opens but I get an Internet explorer window saying the page cannot be displayed.
    In Space, Cryptic cant hear you scream!!!

    Looks like they changed peering points and the BGP to whatever they use internally (likely EIGRP) is not configured right.
    As for the whining... come on all can you not see what they are doing? they are trying to fix/keep the game running. If you expect flawless performance you are not that grounded in reality. If you expect it of others try expecting it of yourself for a day and see how you do.

    Amen. I'm wondering how many of these complainers have even a single responsibility in life. Stop whining, people. It'll be up soon and my ship will pop yours out of the sky.

    Have tried several times to connect with cryptic launcher saying trying to update. then i get the following.

    Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. Please check your internet connection. If problem persist, please contact Technical Support.

    Just got past launcher then it bombed out and braught up a blank webpage telling me to check my connection, which is perfectly ok.

    I tried to open the launcher at least 5 times, and it always tell me that. It's now 18:40 in France.


    when it says that this means they have it closed for maintanace so just calm down hope they fix it

    Until this moment, the message on the main page http://sto.perfectworld.com/ stated that the maintenance should have finised 40 minutes ago. So I spent 40 mins trying to launch the game. Only now they changed it to "has been extended". I suppose they knew this 40 mins ago, they should have let us know as well.

    Although I do find it a little frustrating I understand there is a problem you have to fix permanently rather than short-term...

    Hopwever, since it was meantr to be finished a while ago, any update on an estimated fix time?

    Damn people you are writing posts faster than I can read. I espetially like all those tracerts, they are so fun to read :)

    I was wondering can anyone explain why my tracert to launcher.startrekonline.com finishes with 17 127 ms 128 ms 127 ms fr.startrekonline.com COLOR="Lime"]208.95.185.44[/COLOR

    but when pinging launcher.startrekonline.com it reply on 69.43.161.179 ip?

    ROFL don't delete your game...they are testing routing issues that effected peoples ability to log in last week...it is just a waiting game. Once they figure you what is causing the issue they will fix it and bring the servers back up.

    I tried to open the launcher at least 5 times, and it always tell me that. It's now 18:40 in France.

    You would think after 3 years they would have finally fixed the damn launcher, but i guess would i keep playing, i would still have that problem in another 3 years.

    Great game, really, it is. I am not sure what you were trying to make better (that's mostly the reason why you update, don't you?) but it only s****ed things up. Can you please stop doing whatever you are doing with the launcher and get it back to what it was (load, login, engage the game)? I am not a techy but I know not to fix things that aren't broken. I get the 'extended maintnance' thing, but now you are actually keeping people from using something they paid for, not cool Cryptic, not cool!

    I am mostly looking forward to get home and relax while playing a video game, at the moment it happens to be STO and this week it is already the third time I had that issue. Not really a good way to celebrate your three years anniversary, isn't it?
