    Can you maybe just stop what you're doing and let us play the game? Sure, I've been here for lots of updates that have taken longer than advertised, but this is ridiculous. According to the website, the servers are up, so the maintenance is most likely over. However, we can't play the game because you're intentionally messing around with launcher. Stop doing that and let us play the game. Some of us have paid a lot of money to this game ($300 just for the lifetime sub, several months of subscription costs before that, plus lots of C-points/Zen) and would like to play what we've paid for.

    Read the friggin' announcement, would you? It's not an error, they're testing something as part of investigating connection issues with the launcher that happened earlier this week.

      Just finished my Fish & Chips, pour myself a pint, and sat down to play some STO for a few hours. Needless to say, I was shocked I tell you, absolutely shocked that the system was still down.

      Understand maintenance is required, but geez, three times this week. :confused:

      This running updates in the middle of the day (a U.S.-centric statement, but one I'll stick with) DOES cost them REAL MONEY. People who have really just started playing the game, like me, are a lot less likely to lay down real cash to play a game they can't play on a regular basis.

      The other West Coast website I frequent on a regular basis is geocaching.com. They tend to schedule updates for low-volume times, and this is a website where, if people complain about down-time, you can actually legitimately tell them to go play the game! I am, by the way, a subscribing member there.

      Then again, what is "Low Volume Time" for this game? Maybe it is at 9 am? :confused:

      Could you maybe alternate times of the maintenance? As it stands the UK and European players get whole days with no playing, I know it is important to do maintenance and new content has to be added while the game is down, but seems a bit sucky for us in certain timezones, who work all day then come online to have to keep retrying again and again lol, it is a game, but games are for relaxing not getting stressed out.

      The most logical explanation here is that they are testing the gateway or server /router that failed last time. They have probably made some changes to it and needed to test if it worked now. Obviously this has caused some problems for them. But its either they do this or they just let everything fall apart.
