It's hardly what i'd call finished, which tends to be what Betas are all about.

No it's down again. Apparently "fixing" and "testing random **** to see what happens" has the same meaning at this point.

Unless that's something bundled with the STO client, I don't have that, yet I'm having the issue, again.

Pando is included, but its not the problem.

The launcher and any map changes try to connect to a url before loading. Those hostnames are stohttppatch.crypticgames.com and launcher.crypticgames.com. The host resolves the same, and its typically an nginx load balancing server.

However, nginx is no longer running. The machine is up. The router is up. The web server is not.

The effect is something similar to last night (which this is going to drive people bonkers), but the reality is its not actually the same issue at all. Since the server itself is up, I can only make two assumptions: they DOS'd themselves while "testing" something, or the downtime was intentional.

While I was happy to support the efforts and stand in their court last night, as I've been in the same debacle with networking hardware myself, this one is negligence.

NOT happy. How have they managed to make ANOTHER change that rolled back to a problem that was 'fixed'.

Please stop it from happening altogether!

No wonder PWE is in such a mess, they can't even keep one game running smoothly.

I wonder if it's going to be down 10+ hours like it was yesterday.

I am getting tired of the annoying disconnects and launcher problems of this week. Yesterday was a complete pain, we were placated for hours while Cryptic's bumbling engineers tried to figure out what is going on. Today, same time, same problem so when are you going to fix the launcher cryptic or is this going to be continuing all week?

Please let me know so I can cancel my subscription in advanced if this continues for any longer as I do not like to waste money.

Once again the patcher updater will not connect. I used a VPN to get it to work yestderday and today even that won't work. This is really beginnig to be more trouble than its worth. I was going to buy the lifetime package but now I don't think I will.

thanks for telling us that more testing was going to happen . . . a small notice in-game maybe? it may actually stop people getting annoyed at the fact that they have been kicked out of the game during a map change -_-
