Medium Term:
-Add new "class" of ship, (new skin of Cruiser for example.)
Long term:
-Add the Romulans faction playable.
-Make special missions like this:
One player use a special vessel and is for the occasion a "Boss" (like a Tactical Borg cube) and must survive to the attack from the other's.
Some missions like this where some player take command of Bos vs the other's could be fun. Like the Versus mod of Left 4 Dead 2. (just an example.)
I can't remember, but I thought you could split a stack of items when depositing and withdrawing from banks. Please bring this back, or incorporate it into the game. It makes fleet bank transactions more manageable when a limit on withdrawing is in place.
You hold the control key before releasing the item you're moving onto another slot.
The same mechanism used by most any other modern MMO.

Expended $1,961 USD on this game - regretting it all. This game and some of its staff disappointed me, time and again, per every single cent spent!!!
1 - I would request the removal of lockboxes from the game.
2 - After going from reputation 1-5 omega/romulan on my main character... I have to say that I don't like this reputation system. It's just not fun. It was interesting at the beginning, but getting equipment and items this way is not fun. I feel like I spend more time feeling poor and collecting resources, than actually playing star trek.
Both of these things are 'immersion breakers' from the game.
Short:
1). An honest to god, color change for the target [map] locator circle; it does not show when zoomed out and is the same background color of the terrain, zoomed in.
2). A margin increase for the ships entering space battles, and not right on top of the battle. Enough space to include all ship types and the time it takes to allow every player to see a battle and set-up for it with their different ships. 1 location suits all, is wrong.
3). Bring the most used items for ground battles to my team at the top of the replicator list; you know the three major items that are at the bottom of the list now, or allow a pinning of items to be top selected, or make an auto-buy feature for my items.
Medium:
1).I have a level 50 character and really want to stop being asked to go on missions. I do not need to be asked, or have the tutorials listed, in my list or have characters I wish to have nothing do do with ask me.
2). Reaching level 50 and being cut-off from building my skills is a no-win topic; why not let players at 50 get the re-spec for free? It would become dynamic!
3). A list of frequented destinations that allow a player to go to at the touch of a button, auto-pilot. This includes a jump between blocks.
Long:
1). A S.T.O. mission list* that excludes all missions from the M category, show levels or tiers or edit the current list.
2). An actual beam to target feature for stuck BO's or for mission planning.
3). The ability to select a BO and use that officer in a single task and leave the other 3 for later selection; like a BO has the ability to use stealth and be located somewhere and then after the remaing 3 BO's are use then implemented as a strike group (ground-based only mode).
1).I have a level 50 character and really want to stop being asked to go on missions. I do not need to be asked, or have the tutorials listed, in my list or have characters I wish to have nothing do do with ask me.
Press ESC, select Options, there is an option for "Disable Mission Auto-Hail." Turn it on to stop the game from asking you about the episode missions. They will still remain in the list in case you want to play them at some point.
2). Reaching level 50 and being cut-off from building my skills is a no-win topic; why not let players at 50 get the re-spec for free? It would become dynamic!
Paid subscribers get free respecs while leveling up. Free players do not. Not likely to change.
I would like to suggest that at this stage of the game, what with multiple lockboxes & the like, in many Captains cargo holds, that it be made possible to transfer a limited number of 'reward' packs, Lobi crystals, between ones own account Captains.(I currently run 5 Captains @ Vice Admiral/General). This would not only facilitate the aforementioned cargo into service in a lot of cases, as they will otherwise lay idle indefinately, but would allow captains to add doffs & Lobi to a captain in need so to speak, instead of trying to sell these items via the exchange at extortionate prices, or putting them on the exchange in the hope of logging out of 1 captain & into another to try to grab the item ones self, before it disappears. Lobis cannot be sold, so the ability to transfer to another character would be advantageous, as, I, for instance could then access & add to my lobis in another account, via say a special in game 'drop box', & facilitate the purchace of items in the consortiums warehouse much quicker, stimulating greater interest in the available items, as the crystals can be built up quicker when lockboxes are opened. I suggest that this dropbox/transfer facility be worth say, 50Zen or equivelent, per transfer. That way it is of benefit all round.
Thanks for listening. Keep up the great works, despite the moaners!! lol
BOff:
1.) Benzite BOff
2.) Liberated Borg BOff - ordinary version (not the ENG or SCI special ones)
3.) Now with multiple versions of the Android as reward available, I want to have the other 2 versions also, and not beeing limited to only one 700 Day Veteran version. (DIL Store or somehow else..)
Character and BOff creation/Tailor:
1.) Human or almost Human like races: different pre-created ethnic races (Caucasion, Asian,..)
and pre-created standardized heads. Nothing angers me more than clicking on the random button and getting a head for a Bajoran or Human that looks like a roadkilled Alien.
2.) Serial Numbers for the Crew, like: Captain Ruse Lon; SC-471-745 or anything else.
3.) This is maybe just a thing that disturbes me, but when I switch the first name and the surname so that the surname appears first, it should be like this for example: Decker"," Matt or Yar"," Tasha and so on and not just Decker Matt or Yar Tasha. I know it is just a cosmetic thing..
Fleet:
A Fleet saves Fleet option: There must be some dozens of inactive Fleets out there. I would suggest an option, where a dying Fleet can start a partnership with an other active Fleet (with at least .. lets say 200 members) to transfer their members and some resources over to the active Fleet.
Other:
1.) The whole Omega/Maco/KHG/Romulan Reputation System beeing included into the Fleet Tier System. With adapted requierements.

I just wanted to add a new short term goal; fix cool-downs!
One of the big problems with cool-downs is that torpedo launchers, in particular the Romulan Hyper-Plasma Torpedo Launcher may fail to fire if the target is destroyed when you hit fire, but it still enter cool-down. Not a huge problem for that particular launcher but it's still a wasted salvo. It shouldn't be too hard to have the launcher track whether it has actually fired anything yet, and simply ignore the command to fire if it failed to fire at anything.
Similarly some items have the ability to be cancelled by hitting the same shortcut a second time, however it can be very easy to accidentally do this, resulting in a wasted ability that then suffers the full cool-down. For example the Torpedo Point Defense System can be cancelled, but if you do this accidentally (by pressing the key more than once) then it may only fire a single salvo rather than the full six salvoes, yet it still enters the same 3 minute cool-down! Such abilities should be able to scale their cool-down depending upon how long it was active for. For example in this case the torpedo point defense system would track how many salvoes it fired and cool-down for 20 seconds per salvo (so firing all six results in the current 3 minutes, but only firing one would result in only a 20 second cool-down). Otherwise what is the point in cancelling an ability like this?
this is just an idea about having a ship that levels up with you and im sure im not the only one
thats posted about this. i was wondering if there is ever going to be a way to buy a ship in c store, say a galaxy class for a lieutenant, complete with just 2 weapon slots that will, as you progress, get more weapon slots, consoles, device slots and bridge stations. i realize that the option to buy any or most ships in game that do just that, will cost a pretty penny but i for one would easily pay $50 or more for a galaxy or vorcha ship that i can start and end the game in. it would certainly make for better role playing and for those captains that have a love for a certain ship.
Short - Answer this question for me, will STO ever be available on a gaming console?
Mid - Get more voice overs from actors from the shows
Long - Add splinter factions. For example, I have a Ferengi and in my mind is trying to aquire a ferengi ship after escaping capture of the Federation after the Borg invasion in the tutorial. So, something cool where we can be pirates or worse.
Short - Answer this question for me, will STO ever be available on a gaming console?
Not on current console technology, we saw what happened with the last MMO that was released on consoles and PC at the same time and there were far too many compromises.
Short term: Eliminate the last of the white blurs, one of which is in the Regulus block, I know. Eliminate the insta-kill borg weapons, as I've been taken out 2-3 times in a row by those without getting a chance to fight back.
Provide upgrades for Zen store beginner's ships later in game so the purchases aren't wasted.
Long term: Create some on-ship scenarios and add new decks for more enjoyment. Captain's yacht bay, shuttlebay for all, regardless of whether a yacht is owned or not, and a docking port for the mission pod of the Odyssey/Bortasqu' ships. Battle bridges for any ships capable of saucer separation too.
Allow for customizable deck layouts, deck shaping and various other aspects of interior design, including allowing some influence on bridge setup.
Look into options for piloting ships around sector space or in system from the bridge, possibly allowing for manual course plotting.
Abilities for rolling and more vertical movements.
Add more customization options for both Avatars and Ships, and especially customization and/or skins for special Boffs.
We have been saying that for 4 years but you will find out they don't listen much. Plus they wasted a whole development cycle on making the game F2P
Long-Term
Introduce new playable factions.
First they have to make The factions they have more Playable by adding to the story and making and end game for both Fed and KDF. I have been playing this game scene Beta it still fells late Beta to me.
Not sure if this would be Short Term or whatever. And maybe it has been covered in another post, sorry but I haven't read every post in this very long thread.
Anyway....
My idea relates to Boff skills for space.
Players that use Escort ships or any other ship that is able to use Cannons as weapons are very limited when it comes to Tactical Boff skills that can be trained at the Ensign and Lieutenant levels.
Ensign has: Multiple (5-6) Beam weapons skills. 2 Projectile skills, and Tactical team I.
Lieutenant has: The same as Ensign but one skill level higher, ie: Tactical team II.
Personally, I use energy weapons only, on my escort. And I have 2 Tactical Boffs. One Commander and One Lieutenant.
The way the skills are setup now, I'm forced to do one of 2 things:
1) Use torpedos even though I don't want to and my character is not trained for projectiles.
2) Have 2 Tactical Boffs trained for Tactical Team I.
Maybe I'm not explaining this very well, and I'm not in game looking at my skills as I post this, but all I'm really suggesting is this.
Add some skills at the Ensign and Lieutenant levels that are for Cannons!!
Examples: Cannon Rapid Fire I, Cannon Target Weapons, Cannon Target Shields, Cannon Scatter Volley etc......
It would be nice if I could choose to take one of my Boffs with me when I dock at Earth Space Dock. Then I would have a dancing partner at the club! Instead of dancing with the NPC that are there dancing 24/7/365. LOL!
1. Drop/Cancel project button on character reputation panel.
2. Make the next object location circle on the map clearer by changing it's colour or flashing.
3. Have ++run toggle work everywhere permanently when out of combat. We keep having to toggle it twice to make it work after combat.
Medium term
1. Add more free clothes, with unique racial sets.
2. More colour options on customizing clothes and ships or texture options Matt/Gloss/Glowing?
3. Increase the marks gained from missions on New Romulus and Defari to reflect the time it takes to get them. I aint bothered about how easy or risk free they are, I liked doing them at the very beginning but the rewards were not worth the time, I think most players feel the same.
Long term
1. Add episode missions which give rewards that can compete with the STFs, currently players are farming marks by continuously doing STFs, hundreds of them. Some varied and challanging episode-type missions (3 parts - mixture of ground and space) could alleviate STF burnout.
2. Make the holodecks work! Work simplitiscally, but you have to add "Freeze program" and "Computer, Exit!" commands Perhaps they can be rented out by a fleet officer for custom built training sessions, like the foundary missions but with no rewards.
3. Add more voices in dialogs and much more music. I don't feel immersed as I can usually only hear combat sounds since the music has run out and the NPCs are only talking via dialog text.
I would like to add that Star Trek Online is a beautiful and fabulous game and all the effort that has already gone into is very much appreciated!
Balance Weapon Power Usage with DPS
Balance Weapon Power Usage with DPS
Balance Weapon Power Usage with DPS
Balance Weapon Power Usage with DPS...you get the idea. I'm tired of being penalized twice for using a weapon with a better firing arc than 45 degrees. If you run 8 beams, an already low dps drops to a pathetic dps when they choke themselves on power.
Beam weapon effects: combine all volleys into a single longer duration beam and make DPV = DPS. I'd like to see the same effect as in the shows and other star trek games, not a disco ball in space.
Medium Term:
Make ground STFs and FAs actually worth running. They are just a waste of time due to the difference in the value of the drops between ground and space.
Long Term:
Turn ground combat into a true First-Person Shooter with no weapon auto-targetting and auto-locking. I basically want ground combat to be like Star Trek: Elite Force. You get a first-person view including your weapon and your toon's hands, and all of your weapon fire goes wherever your reticule is pointing (keep the split-beam secondary fire the way it is).
I have to agree with this one... would love to create a character who came from another races exchange program. Like a Cardassian Officer in full Cardie gear, Klingon, etc.
We can already do it with Bajorans for example...
Now I know that the present atmosphere of in game empire diplomacy in STO doesn't make it realistic but hey...

"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”
I would like to see the Duty Officer Roster cap lifted. If we?re willing to purchase the roster slots from the C-Store, then we should be able to ?collect? as many Duty Officers as we want.
According to the ship stats, my Odyssey crew compliment is 2,500. I?d like to have a say in exactly who make up that 2,500 man crew. I?m sure game balance plays a part in the need for a Duty Officer limit, but maybe that limit could be ship specific. Perhaps we could assign specific Duty Officers to specific ships, that way your available officers will depend on which ship you?re commanding at the moment.
Maybe at least there could be officer pools that all acquired Duty Officers go to before being assigned to a specific ship, base project, etc. They wouldn?t be available for Duty Officer missions, etc. until they had been given a ship assignment. I just know that I can?t ever really fill my Duty Officer roster, because I?ve got to keep open slots for Common Duty Officers to fill requirements on Starbase projects.

Short: Fix errors with new equipment stats, IE zero point thingy no longer adds to critical chance.
Mid: same as short :"Fix errors:" And keep fixing errors, try to stop making patches that cause problems, I don't understand how you always fix one error and create anouther?
Long turm:Just get the dam game errors .... fixed!!! Fix them all, would submit tickets but that has errors too. Also monitor your admins, at least one of them has a trigger happy ban from forum button, with little to no justification(because of this fact I no longer contribute to the web page feedback). Plus Fix your web page errors!!
i only have one suggestion atm and its a long term one for a new mission i call "pirate treasure".
basically its a long term mission with multiple stages and actions to it that get expinetually larger with each stage and as each stage increases so do the rewards and i dont mean experience or skill points i mean actual loot that has been stolen by raiders. I also think that with this mission at increasing intivals you can also include lock boxes that arent available any more as well as priemium items such as master keys.
This can also be like a treasure hunt where you have to go to several different sectors before you complete a stage
My request , and I know many have voiced their agreement with this is ....is that fleet starbases should be able to invite other factions to their bases. It makes no sense not to allow this, as fleets of one faction should be allowed to invite representatives of another faction for " diplomatic discussions" "to further understanding of other races" etc., to their bases. Sounds simple enough...bearing in mind the option that allows the ejection of any problem visitor so.......why can we not do this?
Avatar: In one the the "Titan" novels the Titan's AI made itself into an Avatar like the one from the Andromeda TV series.
How about creating one Avatar for each ship you possess? I can give it up to 3 different traits that boost different ship powers like Aux, Shield, Hull, Damage..
Once assigned, this Avatar can not be replaced.
Via Z-Store I buy an Avatar Requesiton which I give a technican at ESD. Then we get the usual Tailor window where I can customize my own Avatar and give him traits to boost the ship.
The Avatar will be standing at the bridge next to the Captains Chair.
Special High Ranking Officers:
Those are literally spoken V.I.P. guests on the ship. Diplomats, Technicans, Entertainers, Professors, Doctors,...
2 of them can be assigned to the ship and boost Space and Ground abilitys depending on their own profession.
As "House Guests" they only stay for a while on the ship and vanish after a default period.
#1 A T5 Federation Escort Comparable to the Jem'Hadar Attack Escort.
The ships we have now are close but in reality it's extremely difficult for any of the federation escorts to stand toe to toe with the 'bug' ship. Even out geared and out classed, the bug comes out ahead most often. This is a mistake, after all, the federation won.
#2 2v2 & 3v3 PVP public ques.
5v5 is fun, but often degenerates into a random fire fest where key binds and weapon load outs win the day. The best pvp matches imho, are 2v2 and 3v3 matches, allowing enough time inbeween firing sequences for some type of strategy amongst players other than 'target >>' fire all.
they would fill up quickly and often. It'd just be a lot of fun.
#3 An avenue towards mk xii (mk xiii?) weapons through the doffing system.
Currently the most effective weapons have [Acc]x3. There is right now One Disruptor Dual Heavy Cannons mk xii [acc]x3 on the exchange and its priced at 70 million ec.
It doesn't have to be easy, but it would be nice if it were possible. A needed bump to the dedicated doffers who have so been hamstringed by the breaking of the doff grinder. And it is broken. 5k dil is ridiculous for a random type doff. As is 70 million for any weapon in game.
Short:
Make some alternative projects for the Embassy/Fleet base where we spend some of the excess mats that are almost useless now.
Example: Fleet base library, deposit datachips for X fleetmarks
Mid:
Either raise the daily Dilithium cap or lower the current dili-sinks
Long:
We seriously need some better endgame activities, farming is pretty boring for all and to keep the playerbase endgame activities is vital.
your best hope for this game is that players becomes friends and enjoy doing stuff together.
Example: X fleet members groups up and sign up for a trip (could be hunting/scanning/exploring/Search and rescue etc) and get a random generated mission
The missions will not be anything they have tried before and they must work together to solve it
Remember that, when players are having fun you can get away with even more lockbox/zen-store shenannigans
Comments
-Correct bugs on mission.

Choice of Armor look.
Say you're able to equip Mk III armor...
You get a choice between the look of the Mk I, Mk II, or Mk III versions...but you still get the Mk III stats.
If you're able to equip Mk XII armor...you get to choose from the looks of all the Mk versions of that armor...but you still get the Mk XII stats.

Just an idea.

Plus Fix your web page errors!!
basically its a long term mission with multiple stages and actions to it that get expinetually larger with each stage and as each stage increases so do the rewards and i dont mean experience or skill points i mean actual loot that has been stolen by raiders. I also think that with this mission at increasing intivals you can also include lock boxes that arent available any more as well as priemium items such as master keys.
This can also be like a treasure hunt where you have to go to several different sectors before you complete a stage
Buyable like Doffs over Exchange, Z-Store, ....
Thats my current 3 wishes
Best regards
