the reason there is a problem is that the patch server has had a nervous breakdown and is gibbering in a corner. The devs at perfectworld/cryptic are trying to coax it back out and as soon as they do normal service will be resumed lol

"And I will make them pay for what they have done!!!!"

We?ve made too many compromises already. Too many retreats.
They invade our bank accounts, and we fall back.
They shut down entire servers, and we fall back.
    Not again!
The line must be drawn HERE! This far, no further!
And I will make them refund what I?ve paid!

Google DNS isn't resolving the patch server. OpenDNS is though. Any idea why?

Time traveller from the 29th century re-configured the router so that something does not explode in the 29th century because we play STO in the 21st.

As I'm British, I don't need a document telling me what I can say. But, by your standards, I can tell you to shut up.
Arrogance. Truly inspiring. I'm sure you're single, since no woman would possibly want you. (And thanks to the First Amendment of YOUR Constitution, I can say that).
You said your statement was made largely for those who do NOT pay for the game. Really? How were people supposed to know that? Oh, yes. Telepathy. Because your mind is like those books for children. Three pages long and chewable.
Don't you just love the right to free speech?

Actually I am not single. Arrogance is thinking you are something more than you are. I know I am intelligent and quick witted, and don't have to prove it to the likes of you. And if you actually read my original post you could clearly see that my statement was clearly made for those who do not pay for the game. In fact I think even the children you refer to could even see that. That indeed shows your level of comprehension. Why don't you go start a riot or something since you seem to be in the mood for barbaric and petty bickering? Your lack of intelligence is showing... my professional advice is for you to shut up because I am sure many reading these posts are laughing at you. Good day sir...

    Compensation?

    Aha. Ahahah. AHAHA.

But seriously. They attempted to blame this on us. That should tell you all you need to know about Cryptic and their policy on compensation.

i have run all the recommended test that you have posted and all my values are with in recommended values i will say however, that i live in texas and i have a fleet mate that lives in oklahoma not more than 3-4 hours away and he was able to log in. the only difference is is that his launcher is thru perfect world and my launcher is thru cryptic. hope this helps you pin point the issue.

Does anyone here play Halo on the Xbox? I remember some of my US friends saying half of them could not log onto halo when it first started, as the server had crashed and logged the isp address of them people on it at the time, so them players were unable to play on xbox live until it was fixed.....either that or the same problem was with PSU2, i forget what one it was.
