    I am located in Toronto Ontario, and am using Google, Verizon, and Amazon DNS servers (1,2,3) in my Cisco router. (Not sure if that info will help, but it is what it is.)

    Anyways from the tracert's I'm seeing here no one can reach 38.111.40.114 anymore which tells me that it's truly down.

    We'll see if that means they are trying to fix it.

    I can see some progress..my launcher has been loading for over 15 minutes now and no error messages...if this ain't progress I don't know what is.

    The trick with the iPhone is really working but you can not go back to your broadband again, i'm in the game but i can play only with a 3G connection!

    ...at least, a solution!

    I still get as far as 38.111.40.141 than 14 timeouts and can't get to the cryptic servers.

    Turn of automatic pathing in luancher oprtions that should fix it for ya and let you use you BBand once in client

    I'm having the same problem now; I didn't get STO from Steam, and the problem only started today with the recent update. Every time I open STO the launcher update window appears and fails to connect.

    I had it succeed a little while earlier but when the main launcher window came up it wouldn't display anything (it just said loading and never got any further).

    Is there anywhere that the latest launcher version can be downloaded to install manually? We've had a lot of patches recently and on seemingly random days and yet they seem to be making the game less stable rather than more-so, as I had trouble with the launcher after the last patch as well (the one that added the Dominion lock-box stuff).


    And despite being told to contact technical support, I still can't thanks to the fact that the damned support pages won't load! In a game that practically forces you to login on daily it's doing a very good job of making that as hard as possible to actually do?

    As an Englishman, I have to say your saying that our media is not free is making me laugh quite a lot. The dominance of certain US media groups is famous worldwide, as a recent study showed, viewers of the Fox news network are less informed about current events than people that watch/read no news at all. Also, I like the way you chose to include the right to bear arms in your mention of amendments, if your argument has no ground to stand on, always good to start implying threats of violence to discourage those with legitimate arguments from speaking up, well done :rolleyes:

    welli used my p[hone network to get the launcher to run and got to the login screen then went back to normal network then connected and went to start a mission and what a surprise.... patching......
    SERVER NOT RESPONDING......

    really this still isnt fixed? what you dont realise is that cryptic/sto was TRIBBLE and you allowed them to TRIBBLE up the game by not listening to the people and not allowing us to inform you of issues. you ban people for alerting you. so you get what you deserve.
