Yes please, I like knowing the state of my exchange sales without having to go into the game.
What? How'd you do that?
Huummmm...
I did it when the forums first changed over from Cryptic to PWE...
There were quite a few options we had back then that I just noticed have apparently disappeared.
I also remember being able to change the size of the fonts in posts...,
...but that seemed to have disappeared a couple of weeks after the change-over.
I guess They decided that we all have to march-in-step, instead of being allowed to be individuals.
The adjustable number-of-posts-per-thread thing, is pretty much a standard now-a-days, I wonder what the heck prompted Them to get rid of that??
For some reason They hid some of the editing features...

Yeah.. ever since the game went Free To Play, I have never seen an option to change posts-per-page. Thanks for posting that link, now I can view 40 posts per page and cut down the number of times I have to switch pages. This is now page 11.

With every internet forum dedicated to MMO gaming, there will be posts and posters worthy of being reported.
Where can this feature be found on this forum?
Typically, this is one of the most basic options available on a web-forum.
I like to think of myself as a fairly capable poster, but finding this feature within the space of 10s (what I feel is a reasonable amount of time required to search for any single feature) escapes me.
So, how do we as a community self-police ourselves and deal with bad posts in the appropriate manner if this - extremely simple, and basic feature - is not readily available?
The current correct procedure for reporting someone's post is to do so through Support. The Subject Title of the Ticket should fall under the "Forums and Website" banner. Give a detailed explanation and include a Link to the post.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
For many people using Google Chrome Support Links go into a Redirected Loop. If you encounter that Loop login using IE, or another browser, and then the Link should work properly. The website team is aware of the Chrome issue and are, supposedly, looking for a way to correct it.

So effectively, I'm correct.
There is no simple method to quickly and conveniently report bad posts and one must go quite out of their way to do this.
In one of my reports on a post, I was replied to by PWE in which they told me that they are working on restoring the "Report Post" feature. They did not give an ETA though. In the mean time, I've been just going to the offender's Core Connect page, reporting them there, choosing "Nudity or Profanity" and then linking to or explaining my reasoning for the report.

Just wanted to touch base here and relay some information.
Branflakes is indeed working with the web teams to get a report post function back into the STO forums, apparently there are some hurdles there with it though.
In the meantime you can of course use the links in the community manager and moderator's posts to send through anything you see. As somebody pointed out this has some problems on Chrome (I intermittently get these too) so while I'd like to suggest a different browser - I won't, I hate moving off Chrome too :P
So what should you do if you can't use these options? There's no easy option, you could PM a Community Moderator but I don't suggest this as some of us erase our PM's without reading (we're both advised and choose to do this because we often get hateful replies to warnings etc) and IF you chose to do this making sure the subject makes it clear it's a reported post. Though as I say, I don't recommend this.
I have my Twitter in my sig, that's a good way to get me - just slam me a link over there and hashtag it with #STOForum so I know what it is rather than some Viagra link
In the meantime rest assured that the community team is pretty much on top of most of it, if you could see the list of posts that we catch each day you might be surprised, and of course follow the golden rule - don't feed the trolls
Hmm, maybe it's time for me to come back here and ask: In that one month since I last asked, has there been any progress on that "quite a number of items on that list being worked on" that you checked daily, BranFlakes? :P
Now that I think about it, maybe I should have waited with this post till Tuesday. Hopefully it won't get lost in the meantime...
Btw, it was a brilliant idea to put this thread in my signature, it indeed keeps reminding me. (And if my signature magically changes, I will notice.)

We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
I'm not sure if this is on the list, but it seems the User CP/Subscription doesn't maintain my New Posts the way the old Forums did. On the old Forums I could be gone for a week or two, come back and see in my User CP/Sub screen all the threads with unread posts bolded and at the top.
It was clear, what I missed, and I could click on a button to take me to the first unread post in each thread.
I don't waste much time with STO anymore, don't play much. But I guess I still hold out hope that there will be some improvement some day, so I do check back from time-to-time, and I've really noticed that the new forums don't do this kind of Sub tracking. It seems to only keep track of the very newest posts, even to skipping other unread posts...
For example, let's say I read a whole thread on a Friday, all 20 posts. I come back later that day and see there's been an update, I click, and I go to post 21. That seems fine.
But say now, over the weekend there are 10 more posts, but I don't come back until Monday. Sometimes my Sub list will show the latest post was on Monday, but the whole thing isn't bolded, and/or I click on "go to first unread" and I get taken to post 25, instead of post 22.
Basically the Sub feature that keeps track of where we are in a thread, doesn't work.
You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.
Just click "Edit your Avatar" left of the 'Do you like free ZEN?' banner, then below the avatars you have a yes/no option for "Do you want to use the Lifetime Subscriber title?".
I really miss the old web page. I loved being able to see which of my friends were online, and check my in game mail without going in game. It was also cool being able to look up the info on other players. This newer layout while looking good, is a poor shadow in comparison.
After the change it was promised that much of the lost functionality would be restored (checking in game mail is the biggest one I'd like to see back!) . . lo and behold its now months later and not a peep further.
I think we're stuck with this rubbish to be honest.
When will the forums start remembering my login? It's annoying having to login everytime I visit the site.
I get around it by going to my subscriptions first. The forums do remember it to some extent, but obviously it's not complete. Also, it seems to let you log in without entering your data from the Login button in the upper right corner of the screen, just below the free zen ad.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

Is there any news on this yet, or did I miss something?
We're getting a wave of advertisement spam. They'll continue to exploit if nothing is done about it. If we already have a solution for flagging posts and threads (w/out jumping through hoops), my apologies. I would, however, appreciate it if somebody could post a link to the solution if I missed it.

And what about the "stay logged in" option? Any chance of that getting fixed so I actually STAY LOGGED IN?

Haven't found it yet? Perhaps I'm not alone.
Or perhaps I have simply missed this most fundamental, typically ubiquitous feature and my fellow forum-goers here can elucidate.
Thanks for your time.
