Oh? Want that spiffy new Fleet Defiant with the 5 Tactical Consoles, eh?
Just 4 C-Store tokens at 500 Zen apiece (or 1 token if you've already bought the C-Store Retrofit).
For all you folks like me that bought the new Escort Carrier, our Fleet Versions will be another 500 Zen.
Have a nice day.
As of this moment all of them are 4 modules.
The exceptions to to this is NOT if you already own the ship, but if you already own the t5 version of the ship. For things like the fleet golfballs, fleet nova's, etc with no tier5 versions you will have to get 4 modules regardless.
Atleast thats how it currently stands.
if u already have the defiant, u only need 1 fleet module (500zen)
And u can buy them from exchange
Partly incorrect. If you already purchased the defiant, you only need 1 module. If you received it as part of your VA reward earlier, you must pay the whole lot.

Very funny. It is more expensive then I could imagine. Those poor Galaxy sods. Their "competitive" galaxy will be almost twice as expensive as Odyssey. har har

I wanted to buy some, like lower tier retrofits. But I'm not interested in paying 2000 ZEN for inferior ship, with no skin and no new abilities and layouts that do not offer any new possibilities.

the excelsior, being proboly the best value ship, is even better now. they buffed its hitpoints big time for some reason. still only has 9 consoles, but i think i'll live. its an option that wont cost houres of grinding and $20. the galaxy continues to be a flying tragedy.
Well considering I have access to MVAE, a ship that also costs 2000 zen and no fleet grind required, yes the T5 fleet sabre is underwhelming.
It's rather opposite. Imagine you own Samsung SIII, and someone wants to sell you "brand new" SII, but you have to pick it up personally on the other side of your country.

Just ran through the BoPs as those are the ships I'm most interested in for PvP
Norgh (T3) - 16k hull, 0.8 shield mod, in for comparison with the below..
Fleet Norgh - 16.5k hull 0.66 shield mod, 2 Lt Coms
Hegh'ta - 24k hull, 0.8 shield mod
B'rel Retro - 22.5k hull, 0.8 shield mod, EBC
Hoh'sus - 22.5k hull. 0.8 shield mod 4/2/3 consoles
Fleet Hoh'sus - 24750 0.88 shield mod, 4/3/3 consoles
I already own a B'rel, don't have a Hegh'ta on my tac. The Fleet Norgh looks like a total nonstarter with the shield mod lower than the ship it's an upgrade of.
The Hoh'sus looks like the best of the bunch, unless you're an EBC fan. Which one to get will probably depend on how the EC cost for the fleet module things pans out. If it's high, I'll probably settle for the standard Hoh'sus.
The one Fleet ship I will buy for certain is the Fleet Corsair, the boff layout looks a lot more fun then the 'standard' Corsair retro and I'd have been paying out for a Marauder anyway.
Having trouble with ground STFs? Looking for help?

The jumps in quality are a bit odd, IMHO.
The plain Hoh'sus is similar to a B'rel-R, but the Fleet Hoh'sus is more like a Hegh'ta.

Alright someone explain this for one of the slow kids...
So to get a fleet ship, your fleet has to have the tier unlocks, you need 20,000 Fleet what-what-ever-the-fricks, and you need the modules?
Yep, for each of your toons.
"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”
Personally - before I knew the prices, I was interested in the Sabre mostly and then in fleet patrol and recon. LOL NoW, im prety sure I wont get any of these and stick to my ship. Because 1 console slot is definitely not worth 2000 ZEN.

so we can get this now? or we have to meet certain starbase requirements first?
You need both/all of the above.
You need to be in a fleet with a high enough tier starbase.
The starbase needs to have the correct addons/missions completed.
You then buy your 1 or 4 modules from the c-store at 500 points a pop.
How many you need is based on if you have the tier5 c-store version or not, and only "purchased" c-store versions count if you used a token to get it, you still need 4 modules.
if u already have the defiant, u only need 1 fleet module (500zen)
And u can buy them from exchange
Correction.
Only if your "purchased" the cloaking high end defiant. If you have captain tier c-store defiant its a no go, if you used a token to grab the high end defiant its a no go. The only way you get a defiant with a single c-store module is if you bought the cloaking defiant.
It will be interesting to see if this means that there won't be any more account-wide ships in the Z/C-store.

The Fleet Defiant would be very nice, but I will make do with the T5 C-store version.
If you have the T5 Z-Mart version, the Fleet model is 500 Zen, or a provisioned Fleet Module from your fleet I believe. Catch is that you must have a Tier 3 Fleet Shipyard in order to aquire the fleet defiant... so still not really a short cut... but elimnates the provisioning problem that large fleets will have.

Anything that includes zen and ships should be account wide....period
Comments
costs 2000 Z, thats 1600 C
PER CHARACTER SHIP
$20 PER CHARACTER, PER SHIP
WHAT IN THE ENTIRE ****
still 500 zen should be about 5$ ... not too bad. Will be worse for the ones you don't already have, but still... about c-store price.
i'm nothing if not surprised

Yep. TRIBBLE tons of farming and Financial expenditures of up to around what 15 dollars? 20?
Vs... paying a couple cpoints and getting lucky on a lock box. For a better ship.
I've already got a jem bug ( :] ) So I'm gunna be saving my money (ec) for the next lock box ship that comes out!
