Do you lose the Gold Member Stipend with Lifetime Membership?

It seems to me that, if this is the case, you are actually giving up more to get the Lifetime membership than you get by staying monthly. Both are "Gold Memberships," aren't they?

After all, you still only get "loyalty" rewards based on the number of days you are a member, so why would the counting stop when it comes to Cryptic point - sorry, Zen - stipends?

If I am wrong about this, and you are supposed to receive monthly "Gold Member" benefits as a Lifer, I certainly have missed a stipend or two...

all stipends go directly to your ingame balance now. if you don't keep track of it its easy to miss your stipend going in. Most folks who say they havent had it, have upon checking/reflection realised they did.

    We're getting it.

Atleast were... I admit I'm unsure about this month, I bought c-points for some packs and never noticed if I got it or not.

Yes, lifers continue to get their 500 Zen stipend each month for the lifetime of the game.

Actually, I am pretty meticulous - perhaps even OCD - about keeping track of my balance, so I know I have not gotten the stipend. If, as everyone is saying, we still get it, I will wait and see what happens this month. My "anniversary date" is only a few days off, so I won't have long to find out.

    Thanks for the input.

Have you bought any C-points / Zen recently? As in paid cash for them (not Exchange / stipend)

It has been a while, but my balance has not changed since the last time I did so. Why do you ask?

actually im gonna hazard a guess (and can be way off base here mind ya) that our LFT/gold stipends are gonna hit after zen conversion Thursday.

I know i normally get mine at beginning of month but haven't gotten it yet...but like i said with the conversion going down they might have waiting to starve off a potential customer service nightmare if anything got lost in the shuffle....

So the stipend kicked in, in december right? But for safety margin reasons, lets say january.

That should mean that by now, I should have recived 6 months worth of 400 CP wich should equal 2400 CP in sipend.

I have not bought or spend C-Points since season 5 update (apart from the DS9 bundle, that I had gotten just enough C-Points for).

I have just this month been able to get the Armitage, (2000 CP), and now my balance is 0...

So yea... they aint giving out the stipends every month.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Sure, that happens if a player don't maintain Gold Membership without the benefit of LTS. Or, that player haven't been paying much attention to his/her balance. Whichever the case may be.

Since the F2P launch, I have received all of my stipends and I'm waiting for the next one this month. However, as someone else mentioned the conversion to Zen, the next stipend might be in 500 Zen instead of 400 C-Points. So, that might be everyone's concern.

To answer the original question of this thread: No, you don't lose the Gold Member Stipend with Lifetime Membership. Check the F2P FAQ at http://sto.perfectworld.com/about/freetoplay/freetoplay-faq

I got my 400 C-Points on the Fifth of July...

    Right on schedule...

I had 351 early in the day on the 4th and 751 on the evening of the Fifth.

The two times I played the game during that time period.

Stipends didn't exist until the game went F2P this year.

Pretty sure there was a monthly "allowance" if you will for lifetime members before the F2P conversion. As I remember getting like 400C points a month.

Some Gold players started getting them back in December and others in January, depending on your anniversary date.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

There was no stipend for lifers before F2P. I was a Lifer from the start.

As I said above, Cryptic started giving Gold players a Stipend in December as a special "thank you," which was a month before the game went FTP. I was one of the lucky ones who got 2 Stipends in December due to my Anniversary date.

Edit: Here's the statement from Steven D'Angelo in his blog: "First, we will be starting the Gold member stipend benefit on December 1st. This benefit grants 400 free Cryptic Points each month to each subscriber to STO."

    Heyas,

Ive been a lifetime member since before beta and i have zero zen. Been looking around trying to figure out where, if anyplace i can see if im considered a LT or gold member, which i dont think i am, but should be.

and yes i havent played probably since about 9 months after launch, not money well spent on my part i guess lol

Wondering if i have to merge my account with my existing pwi account or create a new pwi account for the sto username possibly?
