WTFH Is this TRIBBLE.

Ive spent hundreds of Great British Pounds on this game and now I have to wait what? 2 hours... 3 hours for some poor sob at HQ to approve my purchase of Zen.

Ridiculous, I proclaim a FATWA on the severely incompetent staff at PWE.

Anyone know how long I will have to wait before I get what I PAID for...

I started to use steam for this myself, started to download my game via steam then stopped it after it created the folders in the steam diretory and copied my sto files across to there then did an integrity check to verify all files.

Works like a charm, launch STO via steam if I ever decide to buy more cp and when not doing that I can use my normal install as I like to keep Steam in offline mode. Takes up more drive space but simple to use and beats going through that Zen stuff.

Does buying C-Points via the Steam Wallet also give the bulk discount you can get with Zen?

I believe that only happens the first time you buy Zen. After that, the transaction should just go straight through.

I can't confirm this, since I have only bought Zen once since linking my account, back when they had a sale on Zen/C-Points.

buying zen in bulk straight from pwe using most methods (paypal for example) always gives you bonus zen on purchases of 5000 and up. even better when they have a sale on and sometimes you can get an extra 20% for your money. go steam if you like its good that people have options.

Yeah I'm not impressed. Waiting a day for what I paid to be available to me, when two days ago I could get c-points instantly? That's not efficient or 'streamlined' as they might say.

Obstacle to me being able to buy things = I will buy less things. That's a fact, PWE/Cryptic.

This is a one time thing. Once you've gone through the verification process your purchases from then on should be instant.

You know, it's REALLY irrelevant that it's a one time thing. Those of us that are complaining are not first time customers. I'll go out on a limb here and guess that a lot of people trying to buy zen are using the same methods (read: CCs) they used to buy Cpoints from the source when it was still an option. It's good enough for Cryptic, but not good enough for their overlords? For those of us spending the money, first time is no different and no less infuriating (and RIGHTLY so) then the eleventy billionth time. Particularly when there is no information provided prior to pressing the submit button that this delay would occur and why. Trying to downplay people's disappointment is getting tiresome and insulting. I for one don't CARE what the excuse is. You TOOK my money. I want my stuff. It's as simple as that. For the record, as of this posting, it is now FOUR HOURS after I submitted my order. I have 0 (zero) to show for it and no explanation anywhere as to why. Last I checked, that was considered fraud and at the very least I am entitled to a chargeback. You can thank Bing for pointing me to this thread.

make the most of that while it lasts see below:

Q: Can I still buy Cryptic Points through Steam?
Cryptic Points will no longer be available through Steam, however, you can purchase ZEN for use in Cryptic Games. ZEN purchased for Champions Online through Steam will go directly into your ZEN balance in-game.

Hate to be the one to break it, but the most recent tribble patch notes mention that all instances of C-Points are going to be converted into Zen.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

I've been spending money on this game for well over 2 years now, being blocked on a ZEN purchase when the credit card was already processed successfully isn't acceptable. This whole account merger has acted like a total reset of my relationship with STO. Merged accounts should have had all this waiting period business waived.

If Crypt/PW stop to work with steam, they can lost a good and strong source of money. And losing the respect of your costumers.

A lot of people hate the PW website because the burocracy to buy C-points.

Taking pre-paid cards like ultimate game card or other website to buy zen and convert to C-points take a lot of time, one to five days if you have problems with you account link because the burocracy of PW or if you live outside of EUA.

Paying by paypal you pay extra taxes. And the PW website give me creeps, because have too much burocracy and problems to have trust.

Not actually a one time thing. From the "Where's my Zen?" Page.

    Reviewing

    Applies to: All payment methods

If the status of your transaction shows as "Reviewing" please remain patient. Your transaction is currently in the review/approval process and will be completed shortly.

See? Could happen at any time with any payment. Perhaps replacing the word "shortly" with "hours" would be more appropriate.

How many hours do they get to play around with the cash before the product is delivered?

You took the cash. Deliver the product. Or is integrity a step in the wrong direction here?

they are not preventing the use of Steam, you will just be purchasing Zen via Steam rather than the current c-points.

"Should" I like that. Total bs answer. This system couldn't be more fail. We bought from the C-store, and processing was always instant. I had my first and last experience with this garbage last night, it's been over 10 hours now and I've got nothing to show for it except a pending fee of $45.00. This will be my final purchase.

I think I will try the Steam workaround, as Steam's quite reliable.
