    So, I'll be the first to admit that I've been focusing more on the FED changes than the KDF changes. This is apparent in the current versions of the chart (don't worry, I'm giving the KDF chart some love right now!) But I seemed to have missed a little info that significantly impacts KDF players:



    So, my question is what is happening with the Lt. B'Rel, Lt Cmd Somraw / Quldun / K'Tanco ships? Did I miss something about them being merged into other tiers or something? I tried searching the forums, but it's next to impossible to get official info with people offering up their own ideas. The myriad Dev blogs don't go into detail other than the line I saw above, and the consoles of various ships. Looking for someone to let me know soon so I can make the corrections on the KDF chart....

    I don't know if it helps but those ships are all still there. I had a Gorn I hadn't leveled and he's still got the old ship (K'Tanko Battle cruiser?)

    Also I'm fairly certain that the older lower level ships are still available in the ship store, but as far as I can tell nothing has been changed about them.

    I knew they were getting rid of the Lt. ships, but not the Lt. Cmd tier! :eek:

    As I understand it they'll stay where they are, the way they are.
    And when the number of Klingon storyline increases (probably sometime 2015+) the starting level is reduced and perhaps at that time we will also get the tutorial we were told we would get back in August.

    cost stats on ships, from Tribble, which are the same as on Holodeck :)

    Federation

    Dilithilum:
    Lt. Commander ships = 15,000
    Commander ships = 40,000
    Captain ships = 80,000
    Rear Admiral, Lower and Upper Half ships = 120,000
    Note: all costs are in Refined Dilithilum, and this is after the ship tokens

    C-Store:
    Vice Admiral Retrofits = 1,200
    Dreadnought Cruiser = 2,000
    D,kyr, MVAE = 1,200
    T3 Excelsior and Nebula, Thunderchild = 800
    Exeter, Gradius, Rhode Island = 400
    TOS Constitution, NX, Oberth = 240
    Venture, Bellerophon, Defiant Refit = 800
    Class-F Shuttle = bought with TOS bundle
    Delta Flyer = 400
    Peregine Fighter = 400
    Note: ships grouped together are there for simplicity, meaning they each cost the price seperately

    Other:
    Class-8 Shuttle = 20,550 EC
    Danube Runabout = 34,250 EC
    Tal'kyr Support Craft = comes with D'kyr
    Captain's Yacht = 400 day Vet Reward

    KDF

    C-Store:
    C-Store Commander Ships = 800

    (I'm sorry I don't have all the Klingon figures, I haven't made a Klingon toon in awhile :o But if you're wondering how I got the C-Store figures for the KDF, it may not let us buy them on the Fed side, but it doesn't prevent us from looking at them ;))

    I do love these charts. I always edit them to span my multi-monitor desktop. Great quick reference.

    I would like to call Cryptic's attention to the empty spots in the Escort lineup. It's not cool the the first new Escort since the launch of the game is an ultra rare item (looking at you Jem'Hadar ship). This is very disappointing.

    i must point out, there's only one gap, in the Rear Admiral lineup (Spidermitch hasn't added the Defiant Refit C-Store ship yet)

    and also, when this game launched, the VA ships did not exist until Season 2, so that's not entirely accurate. You got the cloaking Defiant Retrofit first, then the MVAE later, so you did get some new Escorts

    plus, i would like to add, the new Jem'Hadar ship is only available as a drop for the moment. the next FE is coming up soon, with F2P, so that could still change

    The cloaking Defiant and MVAM Prometheus are nearly identical to their regular counterparts which are already in the game. They simply have an additional ability tacked on. You will note that Cruisers have the Galaxy Refit and Science Vessels have the Intrepid Refit that match up with the Escorts you suggested.

I'm definitely going to be referencing this, since it looks like I can't have the game open while editing the shipchart - the uncompressed file is about 3gb. :eek: (grrrr guess I need more ram) Thanks for your work on getting these stats!     oh, Spidermitch, there's a little fact you should know for your Fed chart :) When you purchase the Venture Galaxy, you add a 3rd Tactical Console Slot to the Dreadnought Cruiser

    Note: i'm not sure if this applies only to already-bought Dreadnoughts, or if you buy the Venture, and you get the 3rd console slot free when you buy the Dreadnought later...

    still, it's worth adding, and good luck with the charts! :D

    Okay, fellas. I'm at a good place now to say that with the exception of a few more modifications this weekend, the KDF revamped shipchart will be posted. I'll give more info when I get a chance to. Look forward to hearing your feedback!!!!

    In all seriousness though (and not to get too much into my personal affairs), I was in the hospital this weekend, so, yeah... that kinda took priority... That being said, I plan on trying to post it up tonight / tomorrow. The idea is to get both charts completed with all the new updates by F2p launch. Currently, I still feel I'm going to meet this deadline, I just want to put them up a little before hand so if there's any corrections / changes, I can try to get them corrected. Friday night, I went about correcting an issue that had bugged me about the current KDF chart, and I thought I'd have it done by Sat... RL intervenes sometimes though :(

    Still it's cool that people are still using this thing, and are anticipating the new releases! Rest assured, I've been busting my behind to meet my own self-imposed deadline. haha ;)

    Hiya SpiderMitch,

    I just leveled up a Sci toon to fly the Nebula and was comparing what you have on your chart, I noticed you're short 1 Sci Console slot. The new S5 Nebula has 4x (and it comes prefilled with the Console - Universal - Tachyon Detection Grid). Still has 3x Eng and 2x Tac.

    Wasn't sure if you knew or not (it wasn't specifically listed in your known issues part).

    Anyway, thanks for your hard work and effort. Hope you have a wonderful holidays!

    Hey SpiderMitch just noticed something not having looked at the Sci ships to close before and if it's already been mentioned disregard. The third image of the "Hope" class the angle looking up at it is a duplicate of the "Olympic" class image.

    Okay okay okay.... FINALLY! Got the new version of the KDF chart up (v6.1.1), with the new ships, new tier additions, new rows and everything. I still have to try to get some pics of the new consoles, but I have the placeholders there. I'm really hoping I have all the stats right, but if you guys see anything, please let me know.

    Hope you guys like all the changes. Sorry it took so long; it was almost like completely making a brand new chart. There are some things I went a little hastily through, and I plan on revisiting them, but I wanted to get out what I had so I can be working on the finishing touches while fixing anything you fine people see that needs correcting. Just be nice :p

    why wouldn't we be nice? you're the creator of STO's best out-of-game charts :D and you've really showed the awesomeness of the Klingon chart now

    still, i did notice a few things:

    the Klingon shuttles and fighter are still in the old style
    that x4 device thing on the Dacoit Flight-Deck Cruiser, is that part of the new update you were talking about?
    your Update Log isn't updated with the new KDF changes, and your Known Issues/Upcoming Chart Changes hasn't removed the changes you've just done... but then again, after all the hard work you've done, it's such a little thing to miss :p

    Well, the device slot indicators on the Orion row were added as an attempt to start the KDF chart with a count indicator of devices (rather than 4 boxes of random devices, just show one of the icons with a number beside it) - the way I've been adding the DEV tab to the FED LCARS stuff.... After I made the Orion row, and saw how close to Christmas it was, I knew I needed to get a move on fixing the other two alien rows and the stats (not to mention a Jem'Hadar ship that surprised everyone at the last minute... (still trying to get my hands on that ship :( ) That said, the device slots are a lower priority, but will be revamped in the future to look more like they are on the Orion row.

    Wow! So many ships! I applaud your efforts :D

    I'm not sure I like the engine trails on the little paperdolls where you put the inertia setting. Seems cluttered there. Maybe I just need to get used to it.

    Anyway you can tone down the purple of the Jem'Hadar ship cell? It's too bright, IMHO. Which is perfect for polaron energy in game, but stands out poorly on the otherwise beautiful KDF chart like a garish neon light. Perhaps even just thining the vertical border lines (they seem thicker than the comparable red borders above, for example). But going a few shades darker purple would benefit the KDF pallet, I think.

    Also, the BO layout for the Bug is incorrect. The Lieutenant BOs are universal, not Sci/Eng.

    I'll absolutely be putting the Jem'Hadar ship on the Fed chart as well. (I'll probably have to shove it somewhere and move it around in the future, i'm sure...) But it'll be on there!

    As for the color, I kinda like the overly saturated purple, but I'll look over it again -and maybe adjust it- when I go in there and fix the BOFFs. Good catch on that, by the way.

    Did a little checking around stowiki.org, and found out that these dilithilum figures aren't just the Fed numbers, they're the KDF numbers too :)

    Throughout the year, you guys have helped with corrections, suggestions, and motivation - and it's definitely appreciated!!! I even had an anonymous source send a gift package my way (got a little exocomp from it to help out around the bridge. LOL)

    Don't get me wrong. I love that bright (saturated?) shade of purple, too. It's just the rest of the KDF chart is dull reds and greens and the purple makes those look even more dingy by comparison, and pushes the Bug into the viewer's face in, a sort of eyesore kinda way. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if there was more than one Jem'Hadar ship so the "purple faction" was more than just the one surrounded rectangle.

    It's not a big deal. It's not like I can't stand or won't use the chart now or anything. :p

    I bet that bright purple will fit perfectly as is on the otherwise brigher Fed chart, though.
