I think something a bit different. I think THAT in particular shouldn't be added to the C-store, although I'd buy it if it was!
I think the lifetime sub perks should be, and should have been from the start, perks you got no matter when you bought the lifetime sub. They aren't really big enough to make anyone go hmm well since you can be a liberated borg NOW it's worth it to me. The only thing for lifetime sub that should have been limited time only was getting it at a discount at launch. Otherwise why not, you're paying a lot of money for one some lifetime subs should come with some little exclusives.
For those of you who bought lifetime subs early on and disagree with me, I think you can agree you'd rather this than those exclusives all ending up on the C-store. And furthermore if the idea of people who buy lifetime subs getting the same bonuses now bothers you, get over it, it isn't a big deal.
As to Cryptic exclusives really being Cryptic early access, it's done and being done already, oh well, it isn't game breaking, and for those who bought multiple games, sucks, but you had enough money to buy multiple games so I don't feel too bad either.
Finally I agree some variety with the species of the liberated borg would REALLY help with diversity too, and I agree that as much as I want one, and wish I could have sunk the 200 some odd dollars into a lifetime sub, and would buy the liberated borg in the C-store, I'd really rather see them be few and far between. They should be a rarity. (This argument also sort of ties into that the borg should never be a playable faction because they lose all their seriousness and deadliness.) Borg are something special in the Trek universe that have to be applied carefully to anything Trek. Too much of them and they lose that specialness. That applies to them as an enemy, as a potential faction, and for liberated borg as a "species."
Okay...I can't take it anymore. You, sir, are the worst. You whine and ***** to have the MU unis put up on the C-Store so you can have your precious item, but when it comes down to having to give up something that you DO have (i.e. the Lib Borg) you say "NO!" It doesn't matter your reasons. And arguing definitions for "exclusive" and "unique" won't cut it with me. The damage that you and others have done have driven a wedge in the community and I say put up the damn thing on the C-Store along with the Galaxy-X and the rest of the "exclusive" and "unique" items. I just don't care anymore. Cryptic will listen to people who complain with the "but I want it too" crowd. Fair is fair.
tldr: I vote "yes" because nothing is sacred anymore.
Sorry, but I have to point out that the damage has been done by Cryptic/Atari, not the people for or against the idea of the items going into the C-store. They created this debate. They sold items claiming some to be "exclusive" or "unique" but with exceptions attached only to change the criteria to obtain them after the fact.
This isn't a debate about if "we" should get these items, because it's to late for that. Cryptic has already started to place the items on the market. What they need to do is offer everything up from the start to everyone.
Anyone who plays MMO's can't deny that rare items do have in-game value even if it is just a "Look at me!" value. Nor can anyone deny that in MMOs individuality means something or else we wouldn't be fighting over these ridiculous items.
1. My whole case on the MU uniforms were based on the principle that they were not an "exclusive".
The argument was made in many threads including the original thread called "Champions Offer". I resent the fact that anyone would suggest "I" drove a wedge in this community, by being the advocate of principle in this matter.
2. The Champions LTS "Exclusives" are still such.
3. If Cryptic does anything I highly doubt this Item will go into the C-Store, in the future it may be attached to LTS offer in the future. ( although the wording of the offer does not merit it. )
4. On a side note I have the DDE (TOS uniforms,Joined Trill, emotes, NX prefix), Liberated Borg boff, and the TOS Constitution,Collectors Edition (DS9, TNG,) MU uniforms I have no problem with any of them being in the C-Store.
This I would find agreeable even if it were not consistent with the offer, as a fair compromise.
Wouldn't It just make sense to put all of the Borg parts into the character customization builder so anyone could make a Borg if they so desired? This would be a simple fix and keep everyone happy? This would also not violate any prelaunch LTS offer.

The MU uniforms were at most, purely cosmetic. Why keep something with in-game effects (i.e. borg captain traits) to a relatively small group like pre-launch lifers? After all, all other races that weren't in the game at launch are now available for purchase from the C-Store. Liberated borg should be there too.
...as well as all the other bonus items that didn't make it into the C-Store this first round.
I mean I won't ragequit or anything, but the benefits of being a liberated borg are so small, and can be easily replicated by using the alien character generator, I would prefer they stay as a benefit of the $200+ I shelled out to be an early LTS.
I agree that everything should be available in the C-Store.
I, personally, am so beyond /facepalm about the discussion(s) about "exclusive" that offering something similar rather than identical would hopefully help wind down all these threads.
Liberated Borg - Human - for the pre-order LTS
Liberated Borg - Alien - for everyone else. It would give some variety.
Galaxy X - for RAF program
Galaxy AGT - make a different 3rd nacelle pylon (to me the current one looks meh) and sell that one. Cosmetically you have a difference.
MU Uniforms - make a new set for the CO-LTS
Captain's Table - 2 instances - one gated for LTS only; the other open to anyone who receives the Vet reward
I don't completely understand the necessity of keeping the Captain's Gate LT only. I'd think that at the point of the Veteran award, monthly or however they might be, subscribers would have done the cost already.

I can agree with that. My view is that once you're a 300-day (or 400-day?) veteran, you should be considered an "honorary lifer" and gain any/all the perks lifers have.
Well, except the one perk that lifers did pay for upfront -- not having to pay for a sub ever again.
But if they don't do it the world will end because someone in the game might have something that others can't get.
/sarcasm off
I don't really see the problem there. It's more like these things should be released down the road. If a liberated Borg came with the pre-launch LTS, then it should probably be available as a Veteran award accessible through a contribution to the C-Store.
As for the Captain's Chair being a benefit for lifers... it wasn't ever stated as such an exclusive for lifers. I think it makes sense as a veteran award and from the get go, lifers are veterans to a degree.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand the allure in having something and somebody else not having it. I get the allure of having something that is rare. It's rare because you can't get it everywhere and you do want it so you have to make a bigger sacrifice - that I get. But as far as having something just to hold over top of people's heads... I just don't get that.
I don't think I have that much to prove and if I did, I probably wouldn't be doing that in Star Trek Online.
I'm going with leaving LTS bonuses with only LTSs. Just release something similar if you want to appease the masses. Aka instead of a liberated borg, give a cyborg with a different look. Or give the liberated borg, but give the LTS liberated borg some additional stat or ability.

Apparently, C-Store points can be purchased with real world money.
Or do you honestly, seriously believe that placing a virtual item on the C-Store equates giving it away for free?
Actually, I've already got a pre-release Lifetime Subscription with the Liberated Borg Captain available on my account.
But feel free to keep attacking. It just proves my point.
In my opinion this "race" should'nt have been removed form the LT offer.
(But i think i would'nt play one [now], my caitian tac officer [with MU Uniform] as my new mainchar provides me with enough fun)

It's already been made obvious that nothing is "exclusive" in STO...
As others have said "In for a penny, in for a pound"...
And for anyone who demanded the preorder items be placed in the C Store, yet vote No on this... Shame on you...

I always vote YES to putting things on the c store.

I know they need money, they are a business. If they want my money, then they should add these things to the C-Store.
Of course, I already have a Borg Captain...but like I said "EVERYTHING to the game"
or it should be like $100

I think Cryptic made a mistake in releasing the MU uniforms too early, and by pressing this so... soon, just seems messed up.
