Yup, thats the Borg probe from the show, it would be nice whilst the Borg ships are been looked at for the probe model to get fixed. I'm also admit that sometimes I get the spheres and probes mixed up in the game because they look so similar at a glance, so making this alteration would actually help gameplay as well!
Hopefully because this is such a simple ship model it shouldn't be to hard to make (compared to the way more complex ship models that can take several days).

Having a hard time locating orthographic views of this model...
The new Borg texture looks absolutly sweet, the only other change I think the Borg need (other that the addition of the diamond which seems to be coming ) is the remodeling of the probes, in the series they were more like chamfered rectangular ships, as oppsoed to small spheres like they currently are in the game. I'm really looking forward to seeing these new textures in person :-)
I'm curious if we'll be seeing the Orion raiders (from ENT), as well as the D5 Klingon cruiser in the coming Klingon variants ;-)
An Orion Raider ship OR skin for the BoP would be perfect. >.>
Those are probably the most referance material you'll find for this ship, althoguh as others have pointed out, Doug Drexler might be able to render off some views if he has the original model of it (although I believe the ones on the neutral zone site are renders of the model from the show). Luckily the referance material in those links should be more than enough to make this ship, lets face it, people arn't going to complain about misplaced lifeboats or missing plasma vents on this design ;-)
The PDF-in-a-ZIP-File on that page has a bunch of schematics, including the line sketch Capn already has, and also a stat sheet (I do not know the origin of the stats yet, whether they were worked out from examining screenshots, or made up)

The Borg probe was a type of small starship used by the Borg, apparently to scout
low-resistance targets. The craft is similar in size to a Federation Intrepid-class
starship, and not as well armed as most larger Borg vessels. However, like other
Borg ships the probe is equipped with transwarp coils enabling it to access the
Borgs network of transwarp conduits.
The U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656 encountered a Borg probe in the Delta Quadrant
in mid-2375. The crew attempted to disable it by beaming a photon torpedo aboard,
but it detonated near the power matrix and destroyed the ship.
So.. roughly the size of the Interpid, and shaped like a horse-pill. Make some magic, Logan
CapnLogan that is extremely impressive, thank you but unfortunately I'm going to have to transport a photon torpedo aboard that thing before it assimilates us all with it's good looks!
Phasers now collide with the surface of cubes instead of shooting arbitrarily inside of it.
Outstanding!
Question about that now. When the cubes fired the High Yield Plasma torps, they always look like they come from the center, inside the ship. Are the torps going to be firing the appropriate exterior soon now? or is that a differant department of mechanics?
So, wait - you're turning Borg Spheres into Borg Coffins? Was there something I missed as I never saw a Borg vessel shaped like a flying coffin (Or is this something from Voyager - which I bailed on after The 37's?)

ok see how the phasers impact she shields opf the cube, the shield shape contours withthe shape of the cube. any chance we can see shields like that on regular ships. the battle in nemesis is a good example along with the undiscovered country??

clicked on it and what? there is a list and when i click on the top one where it says shipyard featureing nothing happens?
Methinks it's easier to just post the compilation photo of the Borg changes: http://blog.subnova.com/2011/07/resistance-is-futile.html

I found this, which appears to have a scan from one of the Trek fan magazines:

Another shot from Ex-Astris Scientia: http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/scans/borg1.htm (the Borg Coffin link) shows a lower-3rd shot.

Ask and thou shalt receive!!!! amazing!
You so deserve cookies for this, lots and lots of cookies! :-)
Borg Diamond feedback
Prolly should have just made it here (maybe merge it with this thread infact).
That... is... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Ask, and thou shalt recieve"
Old and Busted out, Older STILL Classic Hottness IN!!
Once again, outstanding job!!
*gives THREE slabs of really huge Targ Bacon!*
Square shields!
Wow. O.o
That goes pretty well with them as far as look-and-feel go.
Well done!
Phasers now collide with the surface of cubes instead of shooting arbitrarily inside of it.
That's also great. Had to be told to notice, but I see it now.

The Probes were never really seen on screen again, but they were in other video games and books.
