    Regarding the TWOK uniforms.

As I recall, the belt buckle and rank pin are both "one colour" which is bad.. because that belt buckle SHOULD be "Testors Gold Paint" brassy. http://www.blam1.com/StarTrek/images/FilmCast.jpg

My solution was to choose a sort of platinum/beige colour. for that component. The rank pin comes out a bit dark, but the belt doesn't stand out nearly as badly.

There's also some question, even amongst fans, as to what colour the badge should be. In WoK for example, it was pretty clearly that "Testors Gold Paint" brassy finish (same as the gold on TNG combadges)... but later, specifically in Star Trek 6 (Undiscovered Country) the badges seemed to be painted almost a metal flake dark red http://www.trekcore.com/specials/albums/rare/article6/de_kelley.jpg It seems they may have used differently painted badges for different lighting conditions on set. Sulu's is almost certainly gold.. while Kirk's and Valeris's later in the film is pretty clearly dark red.

It's also important to note that the uniform canon wasn't strictly adhered to by the filmmakers, because those uniforms were aging and being reused over and over, so very often the wrong division colours showed up on the wrong people.

Yes, there is an index at the top of the OP, just beneath the opening paragraph. I add links to new sections whenever they are added.

Coming soon: Formal Wear and Klingon In-Game Uniforms

Formal Wear has been added to the Off Duty section along with a few more Off Duty variants based on costumes seen in Voyager and Deep Space Nine (Simple Shirt 5, V-neck Wraparound 5, Strapped 5 and Vertical Panel Robe 5). The Formal Wear is based off costumes seen in those series as well as TNG.

    More to come.

I'm working on Klingon in-game variants now. I will have them up ASAP.

    Enjoy!

Just wanted to say thanks. I've only got a demo account at the moment, but when I can upgrade, at least one of my toons will be sporting a canon FC uniform, and your guide, like many others here, is a big help!

Just in time for the Labor Day Weekend, I've finished 16 new variants for the Klingon Uniform section. The 25th Century Uniforms are based on uniforms worn by NPCs in the KDF faction in game. Some you'll recognize immediately from NPCs that can be seen around the Great Hall. Others are copied from random NPC spawns.

Klingon Female 3 and Klingon Male 3 are my favorites. These are based on the uniforms worn by the Future Klingons in the City on the Edge of Never mission. They look great on my BOff crew when my Klingon is wearing his Kahless variant.

I hope you all enjoy them as well.
    Happy Labor Day!

Well, I had a great Labor Day Weekend. Hope you all did as well.

More Formal variants coming soon! I spotted a couple of outfits in TOS episodes I'm going to try to emulate as well as a few from DS9.

Ok, so this last Labor Day Sale weekend, I went a little crazy, purchased some more costume slots, and made more uniforms (here's my current list). Today I got the Merc pack and I have made two alternates myself: "Ranger" (think more casual Outdoorsman, less Green Beret) and "Assassin" (Black and red robes and geared to negotiate with extreme prejudice) and have a slot all ready for Blackvaar's Canon version. My only problem now is that I wonder in anticipation whether he'll go with colors from the movies/shows, chart the C-Store photo version, find something cool/new, or all three! Oh the suspense!

That said, I learned something today about having multiple Off Duty costumes. I thought this would be a good place to share it. It's a work-around which lets you use the C-Store costume slots for Off-Duty clothing (including the 21st Century Formal and the Merc Packs). This is how I have three Formal suits and three Mercs in addition to my original "t-shirt and jeans" Off-Duty Uniform.

This only seems to work with the C-Store purchased slots, not the other in-game Uniform slots. And it does cost you Energy Credits. For those that don't know, here's the trick:

    1. Buy C-Store Costume Slots.
    2. Go to a Tailor wearing any "on-duty" uniform.
    3. In the Tailor window click your new empty slot and create a new costume, but just click through, and Purchase. If you notice, at this point you do not have access to the Off Duty clothes.
    4. Once purchased and back on your Tailor costume list, click that new uniform and Modify it.
    5. In the edit windows you can go to the third page and change into any clothing you have unlocked, including the previously unaccessable Off Duty clothes. If you've previously Saved any Off Duty "patterns" you can also now click Load and recover them instead of re-creating them fresh.
    6. Make your changes and Purchase. You'll note that since you're "changing" a costume, there is the aforementioned Energy Credit cost.
    7. Rename your new costume slot to something useful/creative.
    8. ...and voil

I just wanted to update everyone. The Mercenary uniforms are coming along nicely. I should have them up by mid-week.

I also decided to mock-up a few Klingon merc uniforms with the parts we have access to (KDF still doesn't get Off Duty clothes). So, I went through a bunch of old episodes of DS9 to find some good Klingon merc costumes to emulate. In doing so I also ran across a couple of Klingon uniform variants I hadn't added to the guide. So, now I'm working on those as well.

All of this should be up on the guide within the week.

The new Mercenary Outfits can be found at the bottom of the Off Duty Uniform Guide.

The inspirations for these range from TOS to TNG to DS9 and VOY. From the military gear Kirk sported to the spelunking suit that Picard wore.

    Enjoy!

The DS9 Klingon variants I mentioned have been added to the DS9 section of the Klingon Uniform Guide along with three Klingon Mercenary variants based on DS9 Klingon appearances.

You may notice that the colors are displayed incorrectly for DS9 Klingon Female 3. There is currently a color lock bug going on with these pieces, where if one piece is changed it affects all of the others. I will replace the image as soon as the bug is resolved and the uniform can be colored properly.

    Enjoy!

Look great. I like 3, 5, & 7 the best. Any chance getting the color chart for the C-Store version? I tried to copy it myself, but I can't seem to get it right, and you're so good at it (flattery flattery flattery :D). Heh.

Thanks! I was actually thinking about doing those as well as the versions worn by various Deferi Captains and Injured Crewmen. Coming Soon!
