    Top 3 short
-Currency Exchange of Energy Credits to Dilithium, and if you keep Gold Pressed Latinum in game, which should be, then for that as well.
-Ability to buy more then one of each type of ship (Which with the new ships coming with C-Store one can get 2, but what if I want one of each class in that type, ie- Intrepid, Discovery, and Cochran as well as one custom build. I kinda want a modernized Star Trek Starship Creator.
-Ability to buy multiple costume slots for BOs, at least have a casual costume.

    Top 3 mid
-Duty Officers walking the decks and ability to change their names so if duplicates come in we can rename them so we don't have two of the same person.
-Ship uniform, able to pick what non-BOs walking my ship ware so that they aren't warring the common uniform but the uniform I want for my ship, be it a standard cannon uniform or my custom design with custom unit colors.
-Ability to buy Miranda if we got rid of it before there were buyable extra ship slots

    Top 3 Long
-Episode with the replicating spacestation that the NX-01 ran into and destroyed that then began rebuilding itself, with special reward item choice of NX-01 shuttle pod pet, NX-01 Deckplan (enables you to choose NX-01 bridge in ship building), ENT phaser pistol, and something else.
-NX-01 replica costume choices, maybe a TOS era refit of it and a modern era refit
-TOS era Constitution as option for Cruiser ships. Maybe even TOS era Miranda class in Miranda-class' options

    short term:

    - give the diplomatic missions you can play as missions like Family Ties and Taste of Home etc 20 XP points

( they are not repeatable and helps get the grinding edge of getting to your diplomacy ranks as a new player )

    mid term:

    - plz give the IKS Kaarg something to do on the U.F.P. side of the game

    long term:

    - would like to get me one of those Vito'D Cruisers

    Boffs as first officers!

Would love to be able to wander around using my Boff rather than have my captain leaving the ship all the time.

    Design your own ships!

Not over the top stuff but being able to create simple ship classes using existing bits from different ships.

    More missions!

I know this had to be mentioned if even by me some time ago. I believe that this is short-term request and could be resolved in a partch or two.

The request is to make the controls in the interface detachable. I would love to use my main monitor as the viewer, have weapons and especially the chat and map open on the other monitor. To do this, I do not mind having to start on one screen and moving thngs accordingly, but it definately would improve game-play. Having, as said, the map and the chat in a completely different window makes the playing experienc e much deeper.

I know I can expand the window to more than one and off set the camera, but that grinds my processor to render an extra monitor into the scene and then build upon that. Also, it keeps other applications hidden (like an email popup) that I may not want hidden beneath the game interface.

If the solution already exists, I am not aware of it and would gladly like to be lead to the link explaining it.

    Thanks,

    -Darqun-

What improvements would I like to see? ...well, I've already encountered 2 nuisances, one which I would classify as moderate, the other is minor.

On missions where the objective is to explore all the anomalous readings in a given area, i get to the last one, and RIGHT AS i'm trying to get the frequency modulation thing right, one of my officers pops up, then i can't use my arrow keys to manipulate the modulation window, forcing me to waste time using the on-screen controls.

The minor one, when I'm on an away mission, and i stand in place, my 4th team member runs around like a chicken with it's head cut off. It's obnoxious, and distracting.

    First short term
Ability to buy multiple costume slots for BOs, at least have a casual costume.

    Second
Ability to sell off my lower level ships once you make VA. They are essentally worthless for any combat mission at this level.

    Third
More content for the Holodeck and Lifetime members. I feel there has been less attention has been spent on these items and persons and all of it has been focused on the FTP effort. Are lifetime and paying members no longer important to Cryptic?

    Short-term requests

Adding the ability to buy Borg Salvage (Real $) Making them available to groups only is a restriction on single players (Yet we pay the same member fees)
Fix the cannon blasts so I can see them (They are often so small, I can’t tell I am firing)
Don’t make me complete missions in vessels of the developers choice (Shuttlecraft, etc.)

    Mid-term requests

Moving the Nebula closer to Qo’nos (don’t make me fly halfway across the map to get to it)
Side Ships: Allow me to man two of my older ships that fly with me at Vice Admiral rank (Battle Group)
Allow me to sell/trade old ships rather than deleting them.

    Long-term requests

I’d love to be able to capture equal level ships of my opponents (PvE) and fly them (Klingon, Romulian)… rather than just destroy them.
Starships with swapable modules (All tactical for example) allow me to add modules and/or weapons slots as I advance
Creating simple chain keyboard commands (Keys that do multiple functions) that do not require extensive testing to create

    Thanks for listening.

Why bother listing them? based on what you have coming out, in the engineering section you completely ignored the community's top choices (if you added up all the consistent choices)

    Short -
    TOS Klingons i.e. no ridge.
The multi-level chess game in the Constitution lounge area.
TOS Command Tunic without the rank braids on the shoulders. Maybe just the option to remove them.
    TOS Gorn tunic.
Fingerless gloves. Almost all modern Klingons wear them.
Correct rank badges for WoK uniform.

    Mid -
Add duty/off duty option for all costume slots.
Customize the non Boff crew of your ship, pick the costume and a check box for the races I want to see.
Higher tier Constitution with a cloaking devise like from The Enterprise Incident, and classic blue photon torpedoes.

    Long -
Romulan and Neutral factions ex. Cardassian and Ferengi.

I don't have many suggestions, but I thought I'd mention the couple that come to mind.

    Short:
Various oddities with the grammar in some encounters. (We are the Romulan!)
Currently, I've noticed that from outside the Sirius Sector Block, the banner that would normally say the sector name, instead says "klingon".

    Mid:
Missions that take place entirely within the player's ship. Just look at nearly any episode of TNG or VOY, and you'll see that there could be just as many adventures within the ship as there are outside the ship.

Unknown, but still I found odd:
At least one mission in the B'Tran Cluster involving the Borg seemed unlike them. The mission outline that comes to mind is the underground structure on the pre-warp planet. Dialog implies the Borg were trying to influence the culture, but that doesn't sound like the Borg.

I hope what I've said here is acceptable. And if I'm just resaying something someone else has said before, well, there are over 200 pages on this topic. WTL;DR.

OK, currently there are 143 hits on "interior" and over 200 hits on "interiors" (for some reason is searches differently) on this thread. that should say something right there.

    1. plug it in, plug it in.
So, why not have the bare halls standard on every ship. Each ship comes with the standard layout already plugged in. (ie sickbay, bridge, ready room, etc. all in their place as now.) Then in ship customization. you move them around. Essentially plugging each room into a door slot.

    2. you touch it you take it, you break it you bought it.
So beyond the basic ship layout (which you can change or not) you could sell rooms on c-store or make them rewards for missions involving those rooms. Like, once you throw a Romulan in your brig to take him to ESD for questioning, BAMB you now have a brig.

    3. What I want to see. And... why...
I hate having a bridge full of doors I can' t use. Where's the conference room? Only one turbo lift? Really? "Do you guys even watch the show?" -"Guy" from Galaxy Quest

Brig (which could have a captive in-mid-mission, like transporting a romulan and HE'S IN THE BRIG!)
Conference room (there's even one created already used in many missions. PLUG IT IN! )
Crew Quarters (notice the "s" on the end of that last word? "quarterS")
Guest Quarters (maybe you have questions for that Tamarian Envoy... good luck!)
Astrometrics (you could even set the "auto pilot" here. Or tell your crew "Third star on the left")
A Jeffery's Tube (really, even just one!)
Shuttle Bay (then in the shuttle you should be able to BEAM BACK TO YOUR SHIP! )
A holodeck (if they're standard per Starfleet regulation where is it at?)
A bathroom/powder room/ or small kitchenette off the captain's quarters/ready room (Picard had one just ask Jonathan Frakes! As seen in the last episode of TNG (the tour))
Turbo Lift (I know they're there already but one on each floor? what? is it an office building?)

this is just a short list of the rooms I WOULD BUY. Yes, i'll pay you money Cryptic, to use that conferance room you've already made!

Seriously though, this is an amazing game, you've done amazing things to it and I know it's only going to get more amazing as you flex your imagination in combination with this wonderfully open and creative community.

    Well done Cryptic! Well done!

    short...
All Captains need a nemesis. Kirk had kahn, janeway had the queen of the Borg, so where is ours?
It would be nice to have a nemisis we can create to "chase" us through out our careers. They can be given the same skills as we have and they would even show up randomly to fight us one on one. They can always escape until we defeat them after reaching v.a. rank.

    Mid.
How to fly ship the easy way from the bridge. Basically graphics would be the same with an arrow pointing direction of target on view screen and we see target getting hit from our view screen. So all the bridge does is serve like a screen cover hiding the excess enviroment outside and the camera locks on to target. All controls remain the same. If there in free flight or sector space the bridge allows player to look straight ahead and moving mouse spins camera view on view screen. Example, I approach DS9 in sector space and I see it on my right side of view screen and stop three seconds after passing it. I stop and use mouse to steer camera to DS9 on my right. Basically if I release mouse camera can either snap back to heading or I can order ship to turn to it. As for combat, I can use Tab key to select target and choose which part of ship will "face" enemy. So if port shields are sown and Romulan warbird is hitting me there I can click right ship icon to "turn" my ships starboard shields to face enemy. Just like an arrow on target his shows which part of enemy im hitting, there is arrow to show which side of my ship faces them.

    Long.
Ferengi race. Make the Ferengi our toon suppliers. We can be a Ferengi captain and get better prices to buy and sell items to supply our toons. Say the Ferengi only can buy like this... A 10k credit item sells to vendor at 5k but Ferengi gets 7,500 credits. If my fed toons buy it at ten k my Ferengi gets a discount to buy at 7k. And resell at 7500. I can also get special rewards for smuggling etc. I can these share the loot across the characters on my account and even swap items between characters too. The purpose of the Ferengi is to get easy money and share them with a players character on their account and that Ferengi has access to all the players bank slots and credits to move stuff between the characters without logging in and out all the time.

    Short Term:
    1. Fix Jiro Sugihara, so you can get enemy faction BOFF
    2. Fix Voting at DS9
    3. I hate the crafting system in tribble ... such high dilithium requirements ... wtf?

    Mid:
    1. There should be a way to have a mission to unlock a ship with 3 of each kind of BO
    2. Make a ship with 5 fore wep slots and 4 aft wep slots
    3. Make carriers like the KDF carriers for FED play

    Long:
    1. I want to play other factions ... preferably Vulcan
    2. BETTER SHUTTLE CRAFT
    3. BETTER AWARDS FOR VETS

A smoother leveling process. As a newer player I feel like I am missing missions. An example being that I am now a Captain 4, yet Some of the missions that are supposed to be available to me are not and some fleet actions were never available.

please fix "The Big Dig", has to be the most frustrating "dungeon" type in any MMO I have experienced.

Make the Type 6 Material available for all ships not just the C-Store onses.

    Short term.
Fixing the registration display on my Defiant (Reads something like NCC-999999 instead of the number I gave it).

    Mid term.
Some kind of way of saving BOff layouts to specific ships. For example, every time I switch from my Yacht to my Defiant, I need to reassign my BOffs. Surely by now they should know where their stations are?

    Long term.
Customizable ship interiors, and content to go with them. I'd love to be able to design what the inside of my ship looks like, crew uniforms, and then have a few missions take part on board my ship.
Exploration/Voyage Home missions - Long term solo/small fleet missions. You go to some distant part of the galaxy, and map the region, or random spatial anomaly #357 comes along, swallows you up, and spits you out Somewhere Else and you have to find your way back home, ala Voyager. I can't see this ever really being done, but it would be loads of fun.

    Short term:
Being able to kill salmeck (officaly)
Giving Mordin a black eye (klingon side)
A weapons pack that features fire arms form all TV series and movies (except "star trek" )

    Mid Term:
Chooseable bonous' when crafting (now that we need to use Dilitium)
Holodeck (ingame) programs like captain proton
Make the Boff seem like real people and not computer models (prehaps friendships, relationships)

    Long Term:
Voice acting for already released mission content
With the Ranks of Admiral and Fleet admiral comming the ability to command your own in universe fleets
A doff like system that alows Fleet Admiral to send out npc starfleet ships on missions, attack klingon stations but for some of the more risker missions you MUST LEAD the attack fleet your self

    Short Term:
-More set items. Currently the game has only 3 sets and they are all purple items. Some examples: blue Tactical Console and a blue ship weapon = passive bonus to the weapons damage; blue personal shield and blue armor = bonus to shield regeneration, or w/e.
-More items in general. The game currently has very few unique items, and a lot of ideas have not been explored. For example, a tactical console that improves a ship ability like Phaser Spinal Lance's cooldown; or a tactical console that gives a small percentage chance for a certain weapon to fire twice or even three times(ex: torpedo console with 8% to fire two torpedos and 3% to fire three torpedos per launch.)

    Mid Term:
-At least one special task force for each level range. It sucked to grind on repetative missions until I finally got to VA and only than did I really start teaming up with others to do elite missions.
-More special task for end game. With a special task force that requires a group of 10-15 people to team up, like a raid into borg space into the unicomplex.

    Long Term:
-Fleet space stations. Each fleet could easily have their own instanced space station just like guild wars had each own guild home.
-Randomize npc looks more. Way to many clones on each station.
-Introduce additional factions, like Romulans (But first fix Klingon content)
-fill space with random generated missions and npcs. I really would like to explore a planet and just run into a mission instead of just selecting it. Also, would be nice if planets were bigger than just one instanced map with very little in it.
-Changing territorial control based on PVP/PVE performance (ex: federation space dwindles when Klingons are winning more pvp battles in certain sectors and this can affect exp gain in that sector)
-Raiding missions on the opposing factions capital planet.

    Short Term Request

Fix the bug showing Bridge Officers - fix the Diplomatic First Contact missions so that they appear with more regularity - they appear to be only happening once after some server event like a patch or reboot - this makes the already long haul to Diplomat exceedingly long - the purpose of those missions is to help get to the end - as it is they barely make any difference.

    Mid-Term Request

Do something to make Terradome rewards good - this is actually content-wise a good STF, it's a huge waste to not put in some decent rewards to utilize the content. And need I say more that end-game content is a huge issue?

    Long-Term Request

The talked about Star Cluster missions - where specific player content was enabled to allow players to hit missions by going to planets - this is a key "Star Trek" feel missing from the game and would really help out and leverage the Foundry even more.

    Short term:

Fix the Bridge Officer cloning issue. I imagine some intended new feature "broke" this, but this has been going on for months now, with no resolution in sight. At least give us some sense that this problem will be addressed.

    Mid term:

Stick Department Heads in appropriate places in your ship's interior, and make them useful. Need to heal an injury to yourself or a Bridge Officer? Go to your Sickbay and talk to your Chief Medical Officer. Need to repair your ship? Go to Main Engineering and talk to your Chief Engineer. Add a Briefing Room, where you can meet with your department heads and hand out Duty Officer assignments.

    Long term:

More Klingon content. The upcoming "fix" -- upping the level of existing missions and starting out KDF characters at a higher level just shortens the road for these characters. It's just a "band-aid", and doesn't really address the underlying issue.

1st; I am not a programmer so I don't know what it would take the devs to change an oinion to a hole in the ground.
Dispite a few poor reviews I've read, the mmo is fun... its a game... and thats what games are supposed to be/need to be..

    xp MMO player/STO newb observations;

Ship prices are waaay to cheap... esp giving them away @ promotion day?!
When I hit LTC, I beat feet to purchase my nxt ship, wooopie!!!
Then... I went to the Admiral who sent me to get "my freebee"! >.<
Shall I then nvr buy another ship?
I don't feel I wasted 20k on a new ship. I feel diselusioned, :( no more excitement/satisfaction in getting my next ship w/ me own resources I guess. No reward from my efforts.
I want to buy my OWN car dad, not be handed the keys to one on the lot.
By the time I hit LTC I had enough "$" to buy four ships! 20k...30k??? pffft, Jack it up! 200k 300k or 2mill...3mill!
Btr to make a player gather the mats to have one built than the current.

An LTC in a LC wouldn't be unheard of.
I'll over look ensigns in command position.
(I can see the spot your in w/ lvl/rank/titles and game play... we'll fig that out in time)
What am I to do in 3 days when my new char hits Admiral?
I've only started playng 2 days ago. Shall I find another mmo when in 2 months I have all the ships all the "class/race" commanders maxed?

Missions suggestion; I'm sure there is Trek content that nvr made it to the screen, (novels)

W/ a new player STO has a gfx window for brightness at game start. I would suggest adding a rez adjustment to that as well.
The default rez setting reminds me of a space in time somewhere btwn Commadore64 and ... something.
I'm just glad ik I have an options/gfx/rez panel to go to, others may not.
I am getting some coloring book looking gfx, esp from some planets.
    (set @ 1440x900)

Idk what it would take to get a more opaque set off ship color ops, i.e. Crayola basic 8?
I understand STO is new... kudos devs! You've done well, even if as one put it, "STO was crowbared into an existing engine". Idk the other game... don't care. Ik STO's engine from STO.
(took a lil effort to get ued to tho).

BTW , what the heck are all those ship console info cards supposed to be telling me?
Idk what most of those are suppsed to do for me.
I think yer trying hard to keep it trekky, thats fine... but don't stop the discritp there.
Adding a lil more 21st century game mech discrit would help alot. :p

Thx for me STO xp.. I'm happy.. ik yer still work'n on it... I'm in.

    DB

Oh TRIBBLE. PS: Me light Cruisy taking out a Bessy?... C'mon, I ain't that good a tactician. I'm not ST and even he wasn't uber, (below)
One more thing. Idk I'm not there yet, but I got the carrier fighters suspect to auto respawn in there bays. Don't do that. Make those rich guys buy/manfact more! It would be a shot in the arm for the economy too.

Cool, 11:30 srvr should be back up... l8rs

First off let me start by saying , I am not going back and read the 10000s post to see if these have been put in thus far.

    So with that said.

short term : More content .. we have been told that it was coming in October .. i understand with all the business going on over there with the free to play stuff coming out and you guys got a little behind .. BUT throw us a bone .don't want to burn myself out on tribble .. wow .. didn't mean for that to sound like a rant ..

Mid term : would very much like to see different faction STF's . I know that the featured series can be done with a group , but the Borg are not the universe's only enemy .

Long term : BIGGER planet zones . maybe try and flesh out some ground instances. Not just social zones but something like , you go over here and sell your space junk and then you can take a few minutes , jump in your Argo's auxiliary buggy , go over there and get more ground junk to sell ! AND more space .. gonna get crowded when F2P hits.

    short term -

A SWITCH CHARACTER OPTION! I HATE logging in again to do that... a "save password" option would probably also be acceptable... but the switch character one is better.

    Mid term -

some better implementation of ship officers... like assigning them to stations... which would also solve the rediculous cloning problem that's been around for half a year now.

included in that of course is the department heads and other essential staff... like a better, more customizable doff system.

the ship uniform option would also be wonderful.

    long term -
Federation carriers... and the remaining pre-order and store-specific items available (Rife, Deflector, Armor, RMC, ect.)

also, as sort of a pipe dream... a way to display items in your ship on shelves... and the poker table avable to use with card games... and most of all, the bathroom in my quarters needs to open... I've been holding it in for 2 years now!

I think one thing that the game misses is an enviromental hazzard. Having plants that incompacitate, poisonous spores that slowly depleat the health bar, exploding lava pods, ores that can hinder weapon energy or cause equipment to malfunction, even random wild animals or birds that attack without warning. All of the planets that we go out and look for artifacts or go to find certain minerals should have some lifeform on it too. Just a random thought.
