    Short Term:
I'm not ganna go into a rant over these things because I could fill a novel with my grief, but those ferengi boxes seriously need to drop less, we are getting way too many of them and most people don't want to see them because they don't want to be forced to buy keys for them, its crazy how much they are dropping its like a 25% chance off every loot in every zone at any level, I mean really, just make them drop in a specific place or lower the drop rate all together, that way the people who want them can farm them and the people who don't want to don't have to deal with the constant spam of getting them.

    Mid Term:
We need some free vice admiral ships, and by free I mean costing only dilithium, this game and tipping heavily on the pay to win side and most people don't like that, it turns them off. This game has so much potential to draw in many more players but when you can't even get the final tier of ships without fishing over $25 or getting the 8k dilithium cap 64 days in a row, it makes a lot of people wanna give up and leave this game, thats why we really need some freemium tier 5 ships to give players something to look forward to and keep playing the game with.

    Long Term:
I noticed the space in this game is very odd with the constant warping into sectors and what not, seems very unrealistic (yes I know im talking about a sci fi game based off a tv show here) but it seems rather dumb that nothing is to correct scale and space having invisible walls everywhere.

I know this is a huge undertaking but it needs to be done, sectorless space, make the game one big map and be able to fly directly to any location. If other developers can stream huge open worlds with millions of flora and terrain, then this game can certainly handle a few measly planets and astroids passing by, theres no reason for space to be divided into separate maps except for those few rare foundry missions.

I'd like to see two hand slots. Weapons like Rifles are 2-handed, Pistols are 1-handed (except, of course the dual pistols) , so why not having a Tricorder in the spare hand? Could be Tac/Eng/Sci-Tricorders to enhance the respective skills. A TOS Tricorder would also be welcome :)

you need to think of the lag that would cause, or at least (with the only current lag fix STO uses) that there would only be 75, players in each instance. big map without haveing to jump to another? yes posable, but to not crawl in lag, the # of players would be so small, in an area so large, that you may not see a player for hours in the sector grid "big" map"

I say leave the jumping to other sectors in so we don't have 80% of the players out of veiw of all other players.

(it's workable on planetside, because? there is less players on the huge planetside maps, the largest map that isn't limited to 5 players planetside is Bajor, and it's got? lag. and it's still limited to 75.

I would like to see a console just for the Chevron Separation, Worker Bees and Aquarius escort so they do not take up one of the Science, Tactical or Engineering consoles. With them having to be in one of those consoles it takes away from the ship.

Short Term - The ability to convert gold pressed latinum into dilithium, change dilithium cap to either none or a larger number like 20,000

midterm - Free level 50 ship when getting there, refit of NX-01 and the Constitution class (U.S.S Enterprise TOS version) for level 50.

longterm - less button mashing in missions, and more story driven, remember the best episodes of Star trek are those that are like being on a submarine (metaphor).

this would be good in ANY ship that has a console that only works on the ship it came with.

proposal: add 1 slot to every ship therte is, that sloot can only hold a console if the console "names" that ship directly, in it's "can be equiped only on X" (currently only the Admeral ships have consoles like that I belive)

only 1 slot would meen 2 of the Bor/Odd consoles would end up in Sci/Tact/Eng slots, if all 3 was added, but technicaly the ship only came with 1, the extra 2 are from other Oddasys (if that 1 "ship spacificaly named" slot is added to all ships, then future consoles could be made that fit only certian ships (by class name), opens a posability for adding more in the future, even if most ships can't use the extra slot right now.

Can I say "content" across the board?

More playable races with specific storylines.
Missions for BOFFs that allow you to play them as autonomous characters.
Open up the holodeck to make it work like the series, allowing missions in different times and locations

If you added a mission every Saturday like when the 2800 missions were coming out I'd play (and pay for) the game until the end of time.

I think all they need is to make a on ship holodeck, and make ALLL holodecks everywhere have a "Foundry contact" taged onto one of it's consoles in the holodeck... *smiles* then run one of those "Founedery mission creation, chalanges" and the PLAYERS would make dozzens of foundery missions to use the holodeck interface as the start of their mission.

do it this way and it's not much work at all to get put in game. (for TOS Enterprise interior, use the in ship transporter to beam to the holodeck, for any other ship, about this time in the timeline it can simply be added to one of the current decks, or make a 3rd deck "Recreation Deck"

Idea #1: Traditional Style Combat from the bridge.

I think it would be awesome to click on a Bridge Officer and give orders to fire, come about, set a course ect. And It would be really awesome to have your friends be your Bridge Officers in PvP using VOIP.

    Idea #2: Communications.

I personally would love to see a way to Hail a vessell that lets us utilize our VOIP and webcams. So when we give the order 'On Screen' to our friends, we'll actually get to see the other player and be able to talk with him/her. Just think, you'll get to put your Satr Fleet, Empire or whatever other uniform cosplay to some serious work.

    Idea #3 Ground Combat.

If ground combat were more like playing Dead Space or MASS Effect 3, this game would totally rock even more!
    • Another Idea but I highly doubt it would happen due to greed, MOD Tools for user created content!

I think it would be cool to have the choice to command from the bridge and click on officers to tell them what to do. And have other areas on ship to walk around like a shuttle bay or gym or a pool. Also update hull damage make it look better and have it so that you go to space dock for repair not re charge (its a starfleet ship not borg) (oh and see hull damage from inside ship with interior damage. That would make it more relistic.
Hope you like these ideas and hope they are used. :)

Fix the buggy green light on the port side of the Odyssey (near engine) and yes port is the left side of the ship.

Seriously larger banks for the Lifetime Members. This includes a larger hanger for the number of ships one might have.

    The transwarp effects.

    1. Short term - mission chains that take place inside your ship. Seems like the next step in interiors progressing as legit areas. These would be like the "ship in a bottle" scenarios in some of the old eps that take place exclusively on your ship. The assassination of a diplomat, the outbreak of a disease, repelling an enemy boarding party, or even getting to know your crew. Last night I watched the episode "Latent Image" from Voyager and it was a really strong episode about the Doctor learning how to deal with the guilt of choosing one patient's life over another. That's a great thing to feature for us. Also, some scenarios can have profession specific side quest things. In the boarding action, your tactical officer activates emergency relays to get security shields up; your science officer heals the wounded in sickbay; the engineer struggles to fix the warp core.

    2. Middle term - Make the menus for trading in STF loot a little more intuitive. I've been through about thirty STFs and I always have to struggle to figure out what salvage buys me what and where.

    3. The TOS interior - I love the DoFF system and getting missions in the interior, but the TOS Connie has modern DoFF officer contacts mingled in with the 1960's crew. Kind of breaks the immersion!

    ultra short term:

    1) fix the dificulty scaleing that is based on player lvl/gear/skills

currently a mission can be done EASALY at lvl 7, with only a starter ship, the gear that comes as default, you with NO BOffs, and with only your starter ground gear, AND NO SKILL POINTS SPENT.

also currently: do that same mission with a lvl 40+ that has all/most skill points spent, and has a C-Store ship, of an Admeral, AND has 4 very rare BOffs with you all maxed out on their skills, AND with all MK VIII or better gear and you are toast.

    2) fix threat generation

I purposefully equiped my captian with all MK VIII gear, also my captian has a -20% threat generation

my BOffs have MKIX or better gear all around

my BOff "Tank" (because I AM NOT THE TANK!!!) has +10% threat generation.

durring this test I got to 21.1 away from a squad of 8 enemys, I then marked the center of the enemy group as my BOff rally point

me with my WEAPONS OFF, AND NOT FIREING!!!

as soon as ONE enemy took ANY damage, all 8 of them ran after me, and ignored the 3 BOffs, that had a threat gen of +-0, and the one that had a threat gen of +10%

    note: I'm the LOWEST threat

also note: I NEVER EVEN ATTACKED
    _________

if threat controll skill is to be taken seriosly, then low threat should be considerd a LOW THREAT

on the dificulty scaleing, when a NPC levels to player's skill/gear, it should have a -5% penalty,in all the scalled areas, (and if a harder dificulty then a -1%, but basicly, the player should find it EASYER when they have more spent skill points/better gear/higher lvl, as it is now, it's easyest to ddo everything with defalt starting gear, no skill points used, and useing the starter ship. THERE IS NO REASON TO BY GEAR, getting better gear is a PENALTY!!!)
    ______

if the NPCs scale to player and get +1% or more above player gear/skil/, then every 100 points a player spends gives the one they are fighting 101 points= harder the more you gear up = no reason tpo gear up

if the enemy DOOESN"T HAVE AT LEAST a -1% of player's gain, then it's an equial match if you gear up or not = the money loss is not worth gearing up (not the end boss should be a +-0% of char's skills gained/gear upgraded, at a hard dificulty, the other NPCs, mini bosses/grunts, would need to scale with a -1% or biger penalty to their advancement. to give the player a reason to go visit a shop or spend skill points
    _______

    edit to add:

[Combat (Self)] Raptor Escort deals 19146 (22667) Kinetic Damage to you with Photon Torpedo.

[Combat (Self)] Your Warp Core Breach deals 11102 Kinetic Damage to officer Cloaking Tractor Beam Mine.

may I ask what's the payload on that Torp? looks like it's payload is roughly TWO WARP CORES!!!!

(this is with a char that had points spent and is over lvl 40, also it has nice gear,

so... the auto scaleing of NPC strength to the player's level/gear/skills. is BEYOND that of what the char gains from upgradeing skill/gear/level, (this is where the super torps are comeing from, an NPC that got a MK XII trop, + got a maxed out torp skill set, + got other adjustments to torps, + a +1-100%? above player's skill/gear/ upgrades, in order to be "more chalangeing"

note: an arcade game "Ghosts and goblins"(?) also had a simulare flaw, where you could EASALY get highest score, without even leaveing the first zone. (if you actualy went through the game to the end WITHOUT grinding the low weak things in first zone, your score would be really low, you didn't NEED gear, that you collect from other zones to beat the boss, because you hget to play for 8 hours, in zone #1 and get a insainly high score)
    _______

    edit to add:

    same char

[Combat (Self)] Your Pulsewave Setting deals 6 (63) Plasma Damage to Warrior.

[Combat (Self)] 62 (56) shield damage was dealt to your Personal Shields.

[Combat (Self)] Warrior deals 6 (86) Disruptor Damage to you with Bolt Setting.

[System] [ItemReceived] Major Injury received: Cracked Ribs

[Combat (Self)] 75 (89) shield damage was dealt to your Personal Shields.

[Combat (Self)] Swordmaster deals 452 (567) Disruptor Damage to you with Arcwave Setting.

my pulsewave is an MK IX, WTF is the MK on a Disruptor that does 567 damage?
ENTIRE COMBAT LOG SHOWS EVRYONE BUT THE SOWRDMASTER DOING LESS THAN 100 DAMAGE A SHOT, yet that 1 NPC is frakking me and my entire away team with only a few shoots (only way I can get through that is to rush in and have entire team kill 1 nemy each respawn till there is noone left BUT that 1 NPC, then take him out, and respawning 2 dozzen times to do a mission is an emersion breaker.)

seriosly how the heck is it doing 500+ damage a shoot? he in himself has the skills/MK gear of 10 away team members. (a player should not have to use every single skill they have, or respawn multiple times to compleate 1 section/rom of a mission ESPECALY WHEN IT"S NOT EVEN THE BOSSS AT END OF THE MISSION!!!)

edit to add info: the mission is one you can start at lvl 9, but I'm doing it at over lvl 40 (like I said above, the NPC's scaleing to the player's gear/level/skills, is all messed up)

1: STOP INTRODUCING NEW CONTENT AND FIX THE TRIBBLE THATS BROKEN!

2: Fix the exchange! Sick and tired of seeing stuff I post in exchange not appearing on search results unless you use the specific filters - majority of ppl dont filter they just enter the name of what they want and hit search. So having it appear only when the list is filtered wont get my items sold! FIX IT!

3: ingame mail - you insist on having the exchange spam us with mails every time we sell something, so do us the courtesy of enabling us to press a "check all" button before we hit delete. Its tiresome having to go out of game to do a simple thing like delete all your mails in one go, becasue sitting there doing it one by one ingame is so stupendously irritating.

4: regarding the spammed mails from exchange - instead of spamming us with mail, why not do it where the (already existing) assets tab on replicator window flashes whenever we have made some money, and we can open the assets tab and inside that, select a transactions tab, to see what item we just sold and to whom, or see what reward it is that just made us a little richer, or whatever - you get my drift?

    Earth Space Dock
    Deep Space 9
    Memory Alpha

These are Key places and need a faster load time.

my input: ether reduce the # of players per "instance in these areas or QUIT ADDING NONCOMBAT PETS THAT EVERYONE AND THEIR PET"S PETS ARE TRIGGERING IN THE SOCIAL ZONES!!!

4 pets can be triggerd at a time per player, so? make it 15 players per instance instead of 75 (or restrict pet use, but if you do that, there's no reason to by the pet WOW, tottaly messed that one up, ether nobody to show the opets to, or can't have the pets active, eather way they are not worth buying, they have NO OTHER USE.

note: the most lag I've had in a social zone, was when that monkey pet was active nearby, posably makeing it cause less drain on resources would help.

The things i want from STO are for them to add a way for us to design our own ships for our alien characters, Each species in the Federation and in the Klingon empire had their own star ships before joining these factions, so why not make it so we could design a ship and maybe a special item for that species, Like a the impulse burst or the point defense system kind of item. Each item could be submitted to the game with some details on how you wanted it to work so they can make sure its balanced with the rest of the game items. They could just make a simple program for creating your own ships, and special ship items. Beyond these i just want them to make it so the players can be more unique.

    Here is my list:

    Short Term:
-add more non episode content for levelling
-maybe raise the XP gain for exploration missions
-for one of the last episodes, maybe have a scripted event that mimics an STF, have it serve as a tutorial. It can teach new players how to react to enemy tactics. nanite spawns=kill them before they heal, enemy heading towards wormhole=stop them, friendly ship losing shields/hull=transfer shield/hull

    Mid Term:
-find a way to encourage more teamplay or discourage AFK'ers.
-add 1 new space/ground STF that doesnt have the Borg as the bad guy, could be a prologue of more to come

    Long Term:
-a lot of new STF's (at least 3-4+)
-add more episode content that revolves around time travel. But this time, have the setting be TNG, DS9 or Voyager. But hopefully nothing that involves bad guys we have already seen in game (Hirogen, Borg, Jem'hadar). There's others races that we could be going against too: Kazon, Krenim, Q continuum...whatever was on DS9 and TNG that arent in the game lol.

    Short term-

A few more Melee weapons. I noticed that the Jem Hadar have Gigantic metal Kar-Takins. Yet they seem to dematerialize when the Jem-Hadar is killed. I want Kar-takins!!! Talara-utar, my Jem-hadar bridge officer, demmandi it! Preferably with a hidden ketracel-white injector. If he is going to disembowel, let him do it with style and a big spear.

    Mid term reply.

More things to buy for Latinum.
Specifically, more than just asthetics. I have, in my bank, many old cardassian lockboxes. The keys fetch a hefty price on the exchange, something I can't afford. Maybe, just maybe, the galor cruisers and the starving crews inside of them can be let free, for just a little (and by little, I mean ferengi little) latinum. I would also like to see maybe a few functional items being sold, like ferengi weapons and armor, or other things like uniforms. I'm not asking for a lot of C-store items. All I want is something besides some overpriced holoemitters and trophies, something that will make Latinum become more than Gold Plated Toilet Paper.

Long term- Iconians+ featured series+ starfleet= awesome. Also, I would like to note that, at the end of cutting the cord, when you had to destroy the gateway in the science lab, I noticed something odd. Col. Hakeev was entering the iconian gateway, even though I had just killed him. This could be a glitch, but what if it wasn't? Anyway, Iconians in the next featured series would be an amazing addition. I can finally get back at that unidentified vessel from Taris!! YOU SCRATCHED MY PAINT JOB!! YOU WILL PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

my input: maybe put a max you can buy with Latnum a day, by adding another retailer, they sell C-Store grade items, for Latnum, BUT, only have a "limited supply" and can only sell 1 of them a day (or 3 days)

this way it doesn't interfere with C-Store to bad, but can get some unopened boxes finaly open (seeing as boxes arive much faster than people can make the real worldf money to get C-Points for the keys)

(I figure at once every 3 days to a week, on items being avalable from the "C grade Latnum dealer" would make a lot of people happy, yet C-store sales still shouldn't drop (considering keys, and considering those that buy them just to place on exchange, because everyone would like more than 1 key a day, besides, after opening 1, they will want to open another, and again... call it a sample)

My wants would be realistic prices for digital content, so that many players will buy a lot instead of a few players buying loads, hopefully increasing the overall sales for Cryptic while giving more players acces to content.

It's a win-win situation, so it should be a nobrainer.

Lock a seperate bridge officer crew assigned to each ship (spec'ed and trainded for that ship).
You could switch ships, and she'd be all ready for combat (no reloading all your hotkeys and powers).
Maybe at some rank, command those other ships (as pets).

Retro fits for any ship to make it tier 5 (seems I saw this might be in the works ship-by-ship). I know the KFD have one already.

Poker onboard my ship (with my crew or friends)

Realism mode (just ships and beams and explosions - no fluffy buff icons floating around)

    Hello Cryptic,

I have a neat idea for how to use the bridge with the current way the game works...

    1. Players could have the option to conduct missions from the bridge. In the bottom right corner of the screen where actions normally reside, we could have a list of commands we can give to our bridge officers. For instance:

    Helm, set course...
    Helm, ___ impulse...
    Helm, warp factor...

These commands would actually send us on our way to the next mission! We would have the option whether or not to view the ship flying through sector space and take manual control (See BRIDGE CONSOLES below), or stay on the bridge and listen to reports coming in from our bridge and duty officers, such as "Sir, we have arrived at Starbase 39 Sierra."

    2. MAIN VIEWER - When traveling through sector space, the main viewer could show the animated starfield streaks that we all know and love. Same with windows on the ship and the dome above the bridge if it is transparent. At our destination, the main viewer would show the same 3D map you see in tactical view.

    3. BRIDGE CONSOLES - The Helm, Sciences and Tactical consoles would be interactive. Walk up to them, press F, and switch to the view outside the ship with all of the current in-game controls. No more transporting to and from your own bridge... lol. If the ship is about to engage in battle, the view would automatically switch to tactical view outside of the ship. (I imagine this would be both easier to code, and far less frustrating for gamers to play than issuing "Fire torpedo..." commands to their tactical officer from the bridge.)

    Thanks for reading!

my input: on #2, simply make the main viewscreen show the normal in space veiw (but scrolled in to 1st person mode, instead of displaying "full screen" to the player, display that immage on the veiwscreen

one of the consoles or a loe priority message notification, would allow you to toggle between moveing camra angle on veiwscreen, or moveing your ground char's camra angle. (posably only accsessd if sitting in the Captian's chair on the bridge, so you would be, sitting in a position to veiw the veiwscreen)

    _______________

someimes implementing things can be dificult, and an outside input, of a posable way, could help get it implemented. (this is the reason I'm even adding input on some of these, eather to show the Devs how I think it could work, or to tell the sudjester why I think it won't)

my input: maybe put a max you can buy with Latnum a day, by adding another retailer, they sell C-Store grade items, for Latnum, BUT, only have a "limited supply" and can only sell 1 of them a day (or 3 days)

this way it doesn't interfere with C-Store to bad, but can get some unopened boxes finaly open (seeing as boxes arive much faster than people can make the real worldf money to get C-Points for the keys)

That sounds perfect. Once every day would be good. There should be certain items available every day, like keys, and as surprises, they can add in various other stuff, like Surprise C-Credit Packages, which are available for a limited time on random days. Completely unpredictable, motivating people to actually go to the dealer in quark's or drozana. Anyway, if this is actually added, the crew will have to give up their gold plated toilet bars. I expect that to cause some unrest amongst the crew.
