    Hey, I asked for this yesterday and it's in tomorrow's patch. You slackers can keep your jobs, I guess.

    •When loading a previously saved ship costume from the ship tailor, the changes made no longer revert back to the default costume.

    Short Term Fix:
    • Please get rid of the insta-kills from the borg in Space STFs, it's super-annoying, especially if we have to wait extra time now every time we get one shotted.
    • SELECT ALL in Mail, I'm sick of pressing delete one hundred times, and I'm way to lazy to log into the forums to do it. ;)

    Medium Additions:
    • Aenar Playable race, shouldn't be hard to put in seeing as they are already available as a bridge officer.
    • As stated previously, we should be able to see the surround space while relaxing on our bridge. I hate the static star sticker over the main screen.
    • C-Store uniform set from the Facility 4028 mission, I forgot what the guards wear....just looks awesome.

    Long term:
    • Cannot think of any at the moment, except some good fleet STFs, or fleet v fleet PVPs.
    • Edit:: Scimitar as a c-Store ship. PLEASE for when the new Romulan characters are released, and please, not as a silly lock box......

    Short term:
    - support, add in, plug in, sw for Logitech G13

    Mid term:
    - new PVE maps! Lots of them! But also keep the old one! (Mirror Fed PVE, 8472 PVE, Iconian PVE)
    - be able to upgrade console slots, add new ones
    - be able to upgrade ship hull, shields
    - be able to train bridge oficers to higher tiers
    - new ships!

    Long term:
    - new episodes, new story lines

    Short-term requests

    1. Instead of logging out to change toons, give us the option to just return to the Character select screen without having to relog in.
    1.a add to the launcher and the log in screen a remember password option.

    2. Add a export avatar to .png/.jpeg to the tailor (both ship and ground) and let us see the mods that we have the visuals enabled on our ships in the tailor.

    3. up the stacks to 500, and make all items that currently don't stack, able to be stacked so long as they are of the same mark and quality

    Mid-term requests

    These are things which realistically would take a couple of months for the devs to do, given dev time, testing, balancing, and so on.

    1. 29th Century Bundle please.

    3. let those who already have the TR-116A craft them and have them be bind of equip. or put a updated one in the STF Store using Uncommon, rare and prototype salvage for the Mk X,XI, and XII respectably

    Long-term requests

    1. give us a way to get lobi crystals in game besides the lock boxes. DOff Mission or something... or let us trade GPL for a cache of LC.

    2. End the war between the federation and the Klingon Empire...

    3. Expand upon the Borg's connection to V'ger, or why the Borg Command Ships look like it. ( I know what Roddenberry had written in thenovelization of TMP, in his script notes for the episode Q Who? made the connections as well, and that's what shatner used for his The Return (Star Trek: Odyssey #2) book.

    change "upgradeable slots" to, add a console 2 of each tact/eng/sci (the "console, adds 2 or 3 slots, and uses up 1 slot, of it's same type, and is uniqr) (limit the ships they are allowed on, so that the player, never has more console slots than their largest slot ship, so based on rank, they are allowed more consoles, the higher level they are)

    ^ limited to a max of 5 of each console slot, after includeing he one used by the 2-3way-console-spliter)

    hull hp upgrades: I think this should be automatic, like Shuttles, but based on the highest HP ship you own that "class" so your Escorts, would have the HP of your best Escort, and so on

    upgradeing shields: .... *eyroll* .... you buy an upgraded shield and replace the old one, it's already in game. (if you meen the shield multiplyer, answer would be no, it would cause balance issues)

    Short-term requests

    Add a Federation and Klingon Bridge Officer Trainer to DS-9 and/or Drozana.
    Stop kicking me out of cloak when a comm. window pops up on PvP/PvE maps.

    Mid-term requests

    Rework the the Tactical Escort Retrofit's tank (something the size of a fleet escorts saucer should not have the the same HP).
    A free Klingon sciance ship on par with the fed sciance ships would be super.
    A team queue for PvP (this way premades won't ruin puging).

    Long-term requests

    I would like see PvP get some dev love.

    ALL LONG TERM (Star Trek Online 2.0)

    1. If any of you are familiar with the game ArmA II, it would be really awesome to have user created missions and user created PvP! Of course they would have be un-ranked in order to prevent "Stat Padding" as seen in the game Battlefield 2.


    2. Next, I'd like to talk about user created star ships that we could download from the "Exchange". We can make it a 'Gold Membership' perk. So every month you can upload...say 10 new star ships or shuttles from a que of submissions that you deem fit for duty. And they can only be used in user created missions/PvP as not to infringe on the game itself.


    3. Weapons upgrades should also include additional weapon slots...say one extra for both fore and aft. And console upgrades as well. For example being able to further 're-fit' your ship with extra consoles to bring the total to five.

    - A bunch of new foundry material including timers, more triggers, being able to create your own ground and interior maps.
    - Being able to create PVP and PVE maps in the foundry.
    Medium:
    - Being able to customize your bridge more and have more decks like Cargo Bays, Shuttlebays, and etc.
    - More STF missions.
    - An Iconian episode series.
    - A Tholian episode series.
    Long:
    - Being able to play the Cardassian faction.
    - Being able to level up in the foundry again, and some in-game foundry tutorials (to help newer players).

    Short:

    For klingon carriers - super-impose the number of fighters that have been launched on the launch fighter icon, to help keep track of how many fighters each hanger has launched

    Have maximum cappacity on hangers, so if you have 6 to'duj fighters out and one is destroyed, rather than launching another 3 fighters and removing the other 2 in combat, only one is launched

    Mid:

    The ability to change the colour of any ship, e.g. able to change the Kar'Fi Battle Carrier from red to any other colour ( like when you equip the jem'hadar set it turns purple )

    Change the win condition for war zone space missions, only one faction fed or kling can win, so if e.g. feds complete it, then only feds get a win towards the war zone mission (0/3), this will stop klingons from staying cloaked and letting the fed faction do the mission

    Also, only those players which have scaned or destroyed a node will get the win, those players which have not done either at least once, would get nothing, this should make it a real war zone and fair

    Long:

    Have the borg Resistance, established in star trek Voyager season 6 ep 26 ( Unimatrix Zero ) as playable faction, with probe, sphere, diamond, carrier class ships, and maybe a mini cube

    I know that I already posted, but I only had one of each type of suggestion, so I can technically suggest two more things.

    Short- Add a reason to spend all your dilithium on a colored EV suit. Specifically, I hate it when I just have the triangles in the mining minigame aligned, and am a millisecond from getting points, when suddenly, the pattern resets. I understand why that mechanic is there, but as an incentive to buy the colored EV suits, they will increase the time between resets by varying degrees. Or, if you don't like that, add new mining equipment you can buy, to increase that time.

    Med- Add in a comm station for the Borg Invasion of Defera. There is a transporter pad to it already there, and room for a mission giver there, so what's the wait?

    Long- More endgame content. I mean, there is only so many reruns of Infected you can make before it gets monotonous. I mean more missions, a vice admiral ship you DON'T Have to buy for Cs. I'm sick of staring at those odysseys and dreadnoughts staring at me, laughing behind my back. For cruisers, it could be the Ambassador class. Science vessel could be the Challenger class. (Appears as the USS Buran in the battle of Wolf 359) and escort would be the New orleans class, (USS Kyushu, battle of wolf 359.) Missions for Vice admiral should have multiple endings, each affecting the rewards. Eg. Player is ordered to report to the _____ system. Multiple distress calls sighted in that area. Player encounters and investigates several romulan vessels, all destroyed. Several Reman ships decloak, while simultaneously a romulan task force enters system. Both try to attack each other. Player decides to step in and negotiate. After listening to both sides of the story, you discover that Remans have destroyed a romulan convoy, but want freedom. Romulans want revenge for the convoy. Player can, if he has a diplomacy rank, try to resolve the situation peacefully, but if the player does not, he will have to pick a side, or choose to contact starfleet to send a task force, but either way, there will be bloodshed.

    Short-term requests: Medium-term requests:
    • Lessen the height and width of the hallways in the Fed players' ships - the hallways should be the same width as the Klingon ships' (default) hallways, and their height no more than the Belfast corridors.
    • Ability to customize the uniforms for the non-Boff crewmen of your ship (one option for the tac officers, one for the science division (split between med and sci? Not sure on that), and one for engineering.)
    • Adjust the engine and/or Foundry so that Foundry missions can "read" your captain's body and face so the player can encounter Mirror Universe/clone/twin self. (Ditto for the player's starship.)
    Long-term requests:
    • Reduce the size of most of the bridges. The current Prometheus bridge is about as big as a bridge should get, and even some smaller bridges (like the basic bridges) have waaay too much legroom. In fact, the Prometheus bridge is a good reference when determining how much legroom a bridge should have.
    • Improved physical contact in melee combat, if possible. Currently, in bath'leth matches it looks like the two fighters are thrusting and slashing through each other!
    • More Klingon-exclusive episodes, instead of just giving them slightly-modified "feature" eps. Would I be willing to forgo a season or two of Fed content for that? Yes, yes, I would.

    Short-term requests:

    - prevent noobs from entering elite STFs... it ruines everybodies game
    - make the GUI usefull, and improve description of items/skills
    - add a filter to ignore lock boxes... they are really starting to **** me off >_<
    - add keyboard shortcuts for need/greed/pass, cuz constant switching is really anoying

    Medium-term requests:

    - add more ways and STFs to get pink items, besides only 3 STF sets is not enough
    - i know you are happy with current dimension about ds9 and other objects in sector space like metioned in last Stoked, but it's just not "epic" enough to see ds9 only a bit bigger than a ship... resize would do :P

    Long-term requests:

    - make continuous loading of the sector spaces, without jumping from one to another, also like in previous request, space should be scaled up A LOT, it feels very small now
    - switch the character without reloging

    Short term:
    --Less XP for missions or greater requirements to level-up. I generally play only once a week and I feel like I went from LT to VA very quickly. I mostly stuck to the episodes and was level 50 before getting all the way through episode three. I never really felt connected to any of my ships, other than my VA one.

    --At least one top-tier ship in each category that doesn't require C-points.

    --An exchange and bank in our ship's ready-room. I can, in 2012, sit at my computer and conduct banking and e-commerce fairly easily. I imagine that process would be even easier hundreds of years in the future! :)




    Middle Term:
    --Missions with alternate paths. Sometimes all the combat makes the game feel more like Star Wars than Star Trek.

    --The ability to do really stupid things that could have dire consequences. For example, accidentally (or otherwise) destroying a civilian freighter. A penalty could be rank and level reduction.

    --Friendly fire. I feel like I'm getting away with melee combat too easily while my BO's are lobbing grenades around. This would, though, necessitate a vast improvement in BO AI.




    Long Term:
    --Give us the ability to promote our BO's to captain (if we are VA) and give them one of our old ships. Maybe the ability to call them in to help on occasion, or they can be NPC quest mates on some missions. Giving us the ability to do this would make us "real" admirals in the sense that we could command a small fleet.

    --Romulan playable faction.

    --Level cap increase.

    1. Fix the frickin BUGS.
    2. Implement new PVP and make it worth playing

    4. Create new Connie class.
    5. Create new purpose for social zones.

    7. Bring back Utopia Planitia and put in mini-games about the different ships.

    The new respawn timers make sense to me but when the entire team has died, can we not have an auto respawn after 5 or 10 second please...!

    Otherwise I will just have to go for coffee more often when fighting that bleedin' Armek!!

    Short term:

    -Above all, first and foremost, and drop everything until it is done and done right; Fix science. Seriously, how could you have let this go on this long? Inexcusable. You only have three playable professions in this game and you've removed one from viability entirely. Fix it.

    -Fix crafting. The current status of crafting in this game is a shameful, shameful stain. Seriously, breaking in game crafting so you can profit on the cstore? Are you serious? How shabby is that?

    -Overhaul PvP or remove it from the game. Gozer is working on this I'm told. We'll see.

    -Remove the respec token cost. This is just sickening to me. You have routinely broken the skill system so often that charging people to respec is starting to look like you're breaking the systems on purpose. Given the direction your corporate model has taken, this wouldn't shock me. Basing the game on having multiple ships, and then making all of the ships so crippled they require their own spec to pilot effectively is inexcusable. Either fix the skill system or remove the cost of respeccing.

    -Fix the Dread. Not add that stupid saucer console, ****ing fix it and make it perform as advertised. Rearrange the eng and tac slots and make it a goddam warship, not a goddam exploration cruiser. I know cryptic is historically nerfhappy, but this was ridiculous.

    -Remove the time gating from the shuttle event. I know you are having difficulty putting out quality content, but gating it so no one can participate in it is EXACTLY THE SAME AS IT NOT EXISTING.

    -Put out a new strike force monthly and add it to the pitiful rotation. Focus on the Romulans or the Borg rebellion. If you need help I will write it for you. (both of which really, really should have been a playable faction by now)

    -Fix the Crystalline Entity encounter. That is unacceptable.

    -Implement branching storylines. Again, this game has almost zero replayability. There is no content. Add branching possibilities to each of the existing missions, three in each scenario. Each option will have a unique element that changes the next encounter accordingly and so on.

    Mid term:

    -Repair the Klingon faction. As in bring it's content up to date, provide costuming options for both PCs and ships, you know, all the things that should have been done when they were introduced. As it stands, the Klingon faction is broken and incomplete. Finish it.

    -FIND A DIRECTION TO STEER THE GAME'S CANON. This is getting to be absurd. I play this game because I want to play Star Trek, NOT BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. Star Trek is historically about new life and new civilizations. There are some incredible suggestions for just that sort of thing on this board, three or four come to mind in the space of about five seconds, none of which would require much in the way of new technology or resources. Focus on exploration, meeting new cultures and creatures. Don't half *** it either.

    -Expand the zone limitations. HOW CAN DEEP SPACE BE CROWDED? Expand the zones to three to four times their current size or remove the zone walls altogether.

    -Create a checkbox for Random Encounters Yes/No. As you travel in space, you get the idea. Distress Calls, anomalies, etc. Use your imagination.

    -Make a clear distinction for the Cstore purchased ships. If a ship has been purchased from the Cstore, don't break it to make your new bait and switch or lockbox scam shiny seem more attractive. That establishes a very, very bad precedent.

    Long Term:

    -Complete class system overhaul. Having only three enormously broad categories at character generation is one of the chief things that cripples replayability for this game. You have nearly sixty years of canon to work from. It's not as difficult as it sounds, and it's not like there's a dearth of material to base it on.

    -Introduce both the Delta and Gamma quadrants, each in their own season. For obvious reasons, as in seven years of the IP's canon took place in each of them. Seriously. Where are they>?

    -Expand the political aspects of the game. The Star Trek universe is teeming with factions, unaligned worlds, strange entities and whatnot. Where are they? The interplay in all of this is the reason there was a Federation. Seems like kind of an important aspect of the IP to just ignore it completely...


    Really, this would put you in good stead for two or three years at least.

    short term
    more interaction in the ship interior. Following for example:
    • set a course to fly while sitting in the bridge
    • implement a hangar for shutles
    • show the ships status in the lcars visible at the bridge
    • add an stronometric lab to the ship interior (like voyager) (not only decoration: show whats going in galaxy!)


    middle term
    big change in the mission system:
    do not set a specific time to a mission - for example the borg-invasion-mission: it is over when the borg are dead independend what time it takes to finish all quests. They usually do not leave before they are dead or evyrthing is assimilated.
    do not beam directly to the surface: first enter the system, fly through a swarm of borgships to the planet - then beam down.
    during an invasion theres nothing else than the invasion-mission the planet - borg don't leave things alone.

    long term
    bug-hunt: search, find, destroy (veni, vidi, vici ;) )
    when flying a shuttle, give the possibility to fly arround your own ship - doing so, give the possibility to find and repair damages done in battle.

    one great step:
    let the different fractions become a bit more real:

    planets conquered by one fraction have to be took over again. let the fraction area grow and shrienk as the gameplay tells it to do. (to prevent a whole fraction from beeing killed: the waker your fraction is, the more stats you get in a battle)
    show fraction-statistics.

    one more big thing:

    let the players decide whats going on - change the rang-system:

    the higher rangs can command lower rangs: in game, this could mean: set the priority for missions for lower rangs.

    star trek is also politic - which should niot be a problem in a multiplayer game:

    implement elections.

    what you said about the borg invasion probably cannot be implemented, because then, with only a finite amount of borg to kill, missions would be boooooooooooooring. The event is timed for a reason. However, I agree with you when it comes to a space part of the invasion. I mean, there is a cube in low orbit. Why not have a set of assignments to do in space?

    The faction thing would be amazing. It would be awesome if fleets could fight wars over turf, allowing for fleets to capture sectors for a steady income, the more sectors controlled, the bigger your fleet's daily income would be. An AI style pvp would be good too, as players from fed compete against klingon players (AI support included) over systems in the neutral zones. That would make wars more realistic, and the more planets controlled by your faction (Fed or Kling) would earn your faction discounts at (regular and dil) stores.

    Something I'd like to see is customizable transporter beam effects. Tie them into the accolade system. Defeat 1000 borg ships, unlock borg beaming technology. Maybe even give it a small buff against the borg assimilation party.

    I'd like to see people more involved with their ship. I think the crew should get more efficient over time. Instead of just whipping the engine out and replacing it in seconds, these should take time, or it should have to go to a dock. Repairs should take longer, if you get destroyed 4/5 times, it should take a bit longer to totally fix your ship, still usable, bit degraded.

    More customisation, stuff to do inside your ship.

    Also, bigger space, DS9 has dozens of ships hanging around all the time now. Include Mars etc in the sol system, make it big!

    More variance in the distress/encounter missions.

    First off, i would like to say that STO is simply the best MMO and what i have listed are not complaints or demands but simply suggestions.

    I would like to see ground weapons revamped into something more detailed and conventional looking, think mass effect.

    Shrink some rifles that look too big in the hands of female avatars.

    Show rifles and guns in their holstered position.

    Make ground weapons use ammo so players would need to reload, i imagine it to achieve similar effect to remodulation during borg fights.

    Make tradable weapon attachments, such as gun barrels, scopes, sword hilts and give them +1 etc.

    Add more skin options for avatars so that not all people look alike.

    New loading screen that make the transition from space to ground look less abrupt, for example a prerendered video/picture of the transporter room would probably do well in bridging the transition.

    Provide voice over for our main characters, so we can hear them exclaim when they take damage, jump or hear them issue commands to BOs etc, but what i would most like to hear is, whenever i start a mission, my character would say the iconic, " captain's log, stardate..."

    Finally, I would like faction war be implemented across sector space.

    I would also love to see a bit more "intelligence" from the bridge officers on away missions. Right now, only the captain can complete objectives. (In the TV shows, the captain was often discouraged from even going on away missions because he was needed on his ship, but implementing that would change a lot of game play.) I'm an engineering captain, but how come my tactical BOs can't go fulfill the optional Tactical objectives? BOs simply run around shooting stuff and telling you things. Why can't they automatically attempt to fulfill mission objectives when the coast is clear? The player (captain) could then assume the role of protecting his crew as they try to figure stuff out, just like it really happens on Trek. For instance, the second Cardassian episode with Franklin Drake where you end up on a holodeck... how come my medical/science officer couldn't administer the antidote to the messed up Starfleet officers after they were stunned?

    Implementing an intelligent BO system would challenge the player to choose their away teams more carefully, making sure they had the right officers, not just to protect the captain, but also for the success of the mission. :)

    Well lets see.

    Short:

    Nebula model. In case you can't tell, the saucer does not reach the stardrive section. I thought the ST: Legacy was a good model.

    Fix auto-fire AI: Ground melee AI is dumb. It tries to melee when I first select a target. It's broken, my captain will sit there meleeing, with the enemy 50m away, instead of going 'oh, wait, it's too far away'

    No skill cap: I'm a Starfleet Admiral, why can't I max my skills out? I'm already limited in what I can do.

    Medium:

    Torpedoes made more damage / effect competitive with beams? I can do ~500 dps with one beam at weapon preset. Torps should do more damage than beams, right?

    Universal Career Option: This kinda annoyed me. All I had was the short descriptions. I hadn't played the game a single minute and the first question was 'Stick your ST character in to one of these nice boxes that we've made' If necessary, I could see this being Foundry-only.

    I also mean to have it sector space so you can see other ships when looking out of window or view screen :) really hope they add this to the game
