    Well, I'm just happy I was able to get in for a little while today, been waiting forever for the client to patch. But yeah, now sitting at the ...Characters... screen with everyone else.

    Getting stuck on just loading in.... Makes me rather cranky....

    I was almost done with my mission just like 1-2 more klingon groups to kill in this sector area, I was even with a good aggressive group too so it was going nicely.... but now I can't seem to retrieve my character. I see these forums are growing pages by the minute lol

    Disconnected from server now cant log in? What kind of bull is this. Fix this problem. I agree add a cancel button at the selection screen. Trying to be patient here but im getting annoyed at this bug. Dont turn into SOE and leave things bugged or broken (star wars galaxies)

    yep me too, i think everyone is stuck :p there is also no cancel buttons anywhere, and if the crashes and freezes don't stop, a disconnect or cancel button would be nice, everywhere, including load screens

    Just got the same problem here. Was in the middle of combat when everything locked up and I got booted from server. Now I can't "retrieve" my toon. *sigh* really annoying when people trip on the dang power cords. :mad:

    Was playing fine then suddenly "DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER". Multiple attempts to relog back in stalled at "RETRIEVING LIST OF CHARACTERS". After each attempt to log in I refreshed the browser that was at www.startrekonline.com. The Server Status was Up (and green) after each attempt. This was between 1:50am and 2:02am EST.

    Still happening to me as well.:(

    This is the reason I won't probably play after the first 30 days or i may even cancel my preorder. They just are not ready for release on Feb. 2.

    I am in the stuck on the "Retrieving list of Characters..." since about 12:45 am CST 01-31-2010. could the developers look at the login server and maybe expanded it or place a Que system in. please

    Me too... This game is really testing my patience. So much for a headstart weekend. It has been more like headache weekend.

    Me too! Starbase 24 mission again server disconnected! DAMN! And then stuck on retrieving list of characters! ARGGHHH!

    me too, same problem as OP. damn it Cryptic this is getting old. i love the game and like you but this is getting ridiculous. get with the program.... increase capacity or whatever you need to do. just spend the money and FIX THE PROBLEM (for good) please!!!

    Nope problem is probably MySql database and they have already maxed it out. Guess they went cheap and that is what we are seeing.

    I must also point out that Cryptic didn't want to release the game until April or May of this year. ATARI is ordering the game to be released before it's ready because the executives want money. They would rather get their money now and release a bugged up POS game rather than letting the Cryptic dev team get everything working like it's suppose to.

    And now the servers are down. Hmmm MAYBE THEY GOT OUR MESSAGE! I hope. I agree with all these problems its turning into a headache. What im wondering is whats going to happen on launch day? We alll saw what happened during launch of headstart. Was a nightmare to try and log in. All i say is they better patch the critical problems or were going to see hell on launch day.

    This is the norm for every game released now.......This is also the very same reason most games fail after 3 months and prescribers go back to games that work correctly........Lesson learned by developers??? NO!
