I am really excited about this game and i was just wondering how long every1 thinks it will take for them to bring this game out of the shops and into my hands?

Great new - Im glad I found you. I used to play a startrek based email game some years ago. This will be a VERY large leap forward. I hope that we get more from our CS here than wew do in a certain game that was released recently and is already struggling.
When I started to read the GameInformer Cover Story on STO, i was in shock:eek:. That was the perfect game i had always dreadmed about. The MMORPG where you could fly in space, board enemy crafts and go planet side. My only dissapointment is that i have to wait a full year for the game to come out. Plus good looking games a, generally as a rule, delayed a month or so. As was the case with SSBB.
I am looking forward to more information on STO and i can't wait for the release in Fall 2009.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am very stoked about this game. I've always enjoyed Star Trek but none of the games have ever really been up to par for me, except maybe Armada II hehe. It looks like you guys are doing a wonderful job and, after spending years playing your awesome City of Heroes/Villains games, I know you guys will do an awesome job.
Thanks this looks great. I just got home from Vegas and found out the the Star Trek Experance closed on Sept 1. I was really upset about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been a Star Trek fan since I was a kid so I'm REALLY geeked that a MMO is finally coming out. I've played many MMOs but have yet to find a really good Sci-fi MMO. So between my love of Star Trek and Cryptic picking up the ball on this one, I think Star Trek Online will be just FREAKING FANTASTIC!!! I can't wait to try the beta!
wow just finally heard about this game yesterday and can't wait to try it out! I grew up on ST so I can't wait to see how they translate it into the mmo world!
I think that when it is finished and working, Star Trek online won't take too much players from wow or other mmo's, but considering ST's fan base it will most likely surpass it. And I hope it does, because if the makers hold true to their word and the game has all those great features I'll no doubt be playing it. Glad to see someone's taking the challenge to bring the star trek universe to life. It's about time us trek fans got our wish come true.:)
