I passed on all the other online games. I have a few PC games. I can't pass on STO. I grew up on Heinlein, Clarke, Asimov, and the rest, including Burroughs and the others in that genre. Even bad Sci-fi is better than no Sci-fi. Looking forward to the first opportunity to engage.

The game has big shoes to fill but from the general conceases from the site, the forums, it looks to be a extremely well put together game. Looking forward to beta :}
I am happy to know that Cryptic has started working on this game and i really am looking for a new MMO to play. This game looks great better than all the MMo's i have played so far. I cant wait for beta to come around. I really like Star Trek so i hope this works out unlike the last company who tried it.
I'm a big Startrek Voyager fan. I have to say, this game is almost to good to be true, I will be spending a lot of my free time here for sure. In my opinion there's no Sci-Fi that beats startrek - to each their own I guess .
Well I know I'm late to the party, but it's good to see STO on track for realease. I'll be watching this game close. We need more space MMO's (EVE is good, but doesn't have the history behind it like ST does) Truly looking forward to playing this MMO.
I'm so glad to see the game picked up. I was so afraid that when the other guys folded, the game would never get made. I'm glad to see a reputable company dedicated to being true to the Trek Universe has taken the helm!
In 3 years this would be a ghost town. For the first year they can piggyback on the Star Trek XI hype. Beta testing can go on for another year. After that, it's play time.

Logically speaking working in a fleet cuts everything down in time scale. R&D, gathering resources, new ships....and plus someone always has your back....think about it or tell me to **** off either way your choice.

If and when I'm chosen for beta testing, I will be trying to break the team features, not use them for personal gain.
A simple "no" would have sufficed.
