Certainlly is good to see this game alive and well. And for the franchise, with the film not due till ext year this is a major boost.
Lets hope this resurgance is a sign of things to come :)

What is the rough release date? I thought I heard 5 years, but there is no way that is right. Does anyone have any more accurate information?

They haven't revealed a release date, but have said that it will come out in at most 3 years.

I'm confused. I heard on the radio that the game was ready. I saw an old release saying that betas started in 2006 and developers hoped to realease the game by 2007. Ok, it's 2008. Sorry if I'm missing something. Now there's no more series which is REALLY wrong!!!! Only thing left is this game. We need our Star Trek series back. I loved Enterprise. and.... I loved all of them lol

I'd KILL to beta test if I can't buy it now. EVERY night!!!

Plus, I've been trying to download the trailer. But the zipped files keep saying that there are no files when I try to unzip. And when I try to use the Quicktime I get sent to a blank screen that doesn't do anything. I'm DYING to see the trailer!!! I saw one on the Las Vegas video. But I would like to see it in my HD.

Can some one email me with the answers? TY

This is the second developer (at least) for this title. Possibly the radio was referring to a previous development time-table.

I've been pretty disillusioned with the events of the past few months, but after seeing the trailer, I'm thinking CBS made a good call going with Cryptic. ;) I'm getting excited again.

For the sake of everyone, here's wishing you all nothing but the best for development and a timely rollout!

I am soooo looking forward to this release. I love Star Trek! As do many others, but hey :) I was brought up on it, with the Kirk fist fights. The Spock Logic. The McCoy dry wit. Awesome :) Can't wait. Not so keen on the Next Generation, but it's still top telly.

You sign up for the beta by joining a quality fleet. Second Fleet, perhaps.

Just wanted to say thanks. Ive been waiting for this since I found out about it when it was first talked about. I was seriously disappointed when it was announced there had been a problem during its first incarnation.

Now my question is. WHEN is it going to be available, How much, Whats the monthly cost? Will there be Guilds and housing like in the SWG? Those are for starters. Ill list the other thousand or so later *Falls over Laughing*

lmao - looks like you guys don't need an MMO to RPG in. Seriously, congrats on a large membership. I'm not going to be joining however because I am a gamer not a trekkie. I expect there will be some gamers with beta testing experience wanted too. Around 340 of us registered on AoA forums. Why not take a look.

And THANKYOU to Cryptic for ressurecting this. There's a big market out there for a space based MMO. You should see how many 100s of pages of "bring back EnB" there are on the EA forums. Do this game right and you'll have a winner on your hand.

I am old timer, scifi geek, technonerd, and a gastroenterologist. I certainly go where no man has gone before. As a gamer of both MMORPG and console games I have experience in the MMO world and multiple universes such as seen in Mass Effect, HALO, and Quake. This game appears to be unique in scope and appeal judging by all the hoopla. Statrek people are some of the best and most passionate scfi and gaming people. I look forward to this new universe. I am practicing my creature creation on SPORE and MMORPG on Conan. If anyone needs a ships doctor let me know.
